to be fair, we don't know if the guy was actually trying to create gyotaku knowing that its gyotaku or if he just decided... that... on his own. we only saw the commenter refer to it as gyotaku and what he did looks so unlike anything i see when i look up gyotaku that i can't rule out the idea that he has no idea there's a real art form out there for it
