@@cookingwithcoit well let’s be honest, you would! 😂 I can’t wait to try this! I’ll use a wooden tool to retrieve the toast. ( I already have curly hair hair, and not a big fan of shock treatment!) 🙂
You heard wrong! In Northeast, we get good Haas variety here in abundance. Love this recipe, never tried sweet potato in toaster, have to give it a go.
@ Justin ...Reminds me of my elderly neighbor. She invited me over for tea and toast one morning. When the toast popped, she was digging around in the toaster with a knife to get it out. I told her she should remove the plug from the outlet first. She smiled slyly and said "Sometimes I just like to take a chance." Just one of my sweet memories of her. :)
Put a disclaimer regarding sticking a metal fork in a plugged in toaster: "Boys and girls, don't try this dangerous stunt at home." Children may be watching.
OMG… mandolins terrify me. Just watching him cut those made me queasy. So many accidents. No judgement here. If it works for you, 💯 go for it. But I just know I’d have a half slice of finger tip and nail to garnish that toast 😂
But truly why were you sticking a metal fork into a plugged in toaster? Honestly need to know. It could kill you or mess up your heart forever which could then kill you...?
This guy is not a smart man I can point out all the things he has done as a 19 year old home cook😊 1: fingers are way too close to the mandolin, could lose fingertips like that😮 2: says half an inch and then slices 1cm 3: says a little bit of olive Oil then proceeds to drench them in spray light 4: then puts heavily oiled slice into toaster 👍 fire hazard 5: the settings on a toaster isn’t for heat it’s for time, they’re not designed to have precise temperatures just on and off 6: cuts tip off of avocado, a little wasteful there’s nothing wrong with that bit but forgivable at least 7: does the thing that we’re all told not to do as kids multiple times 👍 puts metal fork it a toaster is an electrocution hazard, a thin pair of wooden tongs would be better 8: Avocado is not a garnish it’s more of a topping or just a part of the food like the layers of a lasagna the garnish is those sesame seeds you sprinkled on top but yes those can also be called a seasoning I suppose. As a diagnosis for 8 things not only dangerous but insulting for a chef (showed this for a Michelin chef friend of mine I learn from) he cried and screamed. I would recommend maybe going back to college or talking to your mother or maybe even getting a catering mentor 😊
It’s about the sticking the fork in the plugged in toaster. 😳 I see a ‘70’s perm coming!
Lol maybe I would look good with a perm!!! 😆

Haha let me know how it turns out! I’m excited to hear. 🙌🏻

Looks fabulous. I think I'll try it with a light smear of cream cheese, chopped pecans and a dash brown sugar mixed with cinnamon.
That sounds fantastic!
And you’ve done it again Justin 2 of my favourite fruit and veg I’m off to the shops That looks yumilicious 😊Thanks
I look forward to making this! Love sweet potatoes and avocados! Thank you!
My pleasure, hope you love it!
LOOKS GOOD
Thanks so much!
I love sweet potato toast. Great recipe. Did you buy your mandolin in Amazon? What brand is it?

I’m glad I heard wrong! Thanks for the correction. I hope you have a fantastic rest of your weekend!
Love avacado toast. Now to try the sweet potato toast too. Thanks.
Please dont stick a fork/knife into a toast. Thats really dangerous. If kids see this and wanna try it out it can get pretty bad. Please dont.
Genius!!! Can’t wait to try this. I bet it would be great with bacon.
Yes for sure! Great call 👍🏻
Mmm perfect
Thank you!
Putting the knife in the toaster is scary
Thanks, looks great! Would have been so much easier in an air fryer though.
That’s a great point!
I made guacamole today love avocados but they a bit expensive down here.
Yeah I hear you. Where are you located?
You know about wooden tongs and toaster ovens?
Haha yes yes I just like to live on the edge. But here’s my PSA: no one else should use a fork!
@@cookingwithcoit I don't not after yikes.

Avocados are the best. Arizona is hit and miss on the quality of avocados.
1:24 that's a 1/2-inch slice? No way. Maybe 1/4-inch. If I'm wrong, let me know which mandolin cuts 1/2-inch slices. 💖🌞🌵😷
Ok ok 1/4 inch then. 😂
Ohh sweet potato toast!😊
Yeah! It’s so good. Hope you give it a try!
awesome
🙌🏻🙌🏻
No issues getting avocado in the east coast .
Great!

I hope you unplugged the toaster before sticking a fork in it.............

I know I know! It’s not proper procedure so no one should do that at home. Be safe everyone!

After putting oil on them,I wouldn't put them in the toaster.
I see what you mean but I have had good results.
Can't cut avocado, sticks fork into toaster, this RUclipsr scares me.
This RUclipsR has a name.
@@cookingwithcoit In all honesty. She is right tho. I like your videos but this really shocked me
using a fork in a toaster is triggering me
