What is it about Young Fathers that just sounds like a light in the darkness?
I found this group with the song "Only God Knows"
They convey emotion with a clarity you just can't find anywhere else.

Maybe I need to listen more for it to grow on me but I'm not finding this album to be as good as "Dead", which was incredible.

I'm gonna be a little snobby here for just a sec. I love that little "1-2, 2, 2, 3" kick in the background, I just REALLY wish it was brought out more in the mix, lol. It seems like it should be the prominent noise that sets the grove but it's buried behind all the ambient noises. Sorry, just has to say, lol. Love the song though, really looking forward to this new album. Hopefully we see it on selfs state side!

MegaMajestics Say what you will about Kanye personally, but he does too. And Death Grips.
Nova XY the Swans too. Wouldn't say Kendrick is pushing any boundaries though. His last album was literally a homage to every black genre. Listen to a 90s Roots or Kast album and you would see his influences.

MegaMajestics Plenty of artists "push the boundaries" these days. Kendrick and Kanye certainly push the boundaries of mainstream hip-hop, though.
