Artist's Note: It took me a while to warm up to this op, but in retrospect, I'm not really sure why, since this is pretty much exactly right up my alley.
It also helps that I've been getting way into this anime. Wistoria feels like a love letter to the kind of fantasy shows I sought out as a teenager, and it's a great watch. That said, I ended up toiling over the lyrics for this one more than usual. That was because the direct translation felt almost dejected and then occasionally hopeful, where I felt this overall mood of this song should've been hopeful, determined. Representative of Will, a character who knows his goal is conventionally impossible to achieve, and is constantly terrified by his own weakness and fear, but fights on anyway. So I spun the lyrics to make them overall much more positive. I just didn't think the pessimistic lyrics fit as well with this style of rock song. Also, making things rhyme is really hard.
Also, new favorite band name? Penguin Research? Incredible. Wherever these guys are researching penguins, I want in on it. I've actually known about this band for a while, so getting to cover a song of theirs was kind of a bucket list thing LOL.

Fire and fear is likely the direct translation while in English fear and fire sounds better due to e in fear used before the i in fire in the English alphabet

Usually Im very critical to english covers of anime songs since they tend to take too much liberties with the lyrics, changing the original message if the lyrics too. But this one, not to mention the instrumental proficiency and good voice control, was amazing. Original still better though, but I am always biased towards originals.
