I found the song inspired a lot of personal anger and sadness I have about some of the world, so I felt compelled to put it into animation. I hope it can inspire others too, as well as make those who have hurt from what I cover in the animation feel a little more heard. - Кино
One good thing that’s come out of the Minecraft Revolution is that it gave PoorMansPoison free publicity
Ye, how did that happen?
@@The_SkyCrane Mojang set up a mob vote like they’ve done every single year. They do a vote every Minecraft Live where 3 mobs are listed, but only 1 is added to the game. So whichever one gets the most votes is added to the game permanently while the other 2 will never be added and is gone forever. The problem is the Mob Vote has always caused controversy because the community always fights each other every year about which mob will be added to the game. However this year they had 3 great candidates and everyone wants them all in the game, so instead of fighting each other they have turned on Mojang because they’re tired of choosing just 1 mob when they could have them all. The Mob Vote was always meant to be an fun event for the community to come together and feel apart of something. But over the years everyone has slowly grown to hate it because it’s now just something that reminds the community of things they will never have and it just stirs up toxicity among the community as a whole. It’s kinda stupid on Mojang’s part that they’re even still doing this sh*t. There’s a whole freaking petition to end the Mob Vote that has like over 300K signatures. 💀💀
@@The_SkyCraneI'm sure you've learned by now but essentially it's just because mojang is a lazy company and gives us half ass content and teases is with stuff they'll never put it. So people are boycotting the vote to make them have to listen to us and put them all in.
@@theh2016 That's fair! But how does that connect to PoorMansPoison?
@@The_SkyCrane Some people used this song in edits about the situation.
"You're ugly! Now buy shit." is the most accurate depiction of social media and our society's standards. It's only you're perfect or you're nothing as if perfection is achievable

I love how beside toxic green some of the businessmen also seem to wear purple ties under certain lighting as an another representation of their immense wealth
I like how the blindfolds say “American Dream”
I think it's because purple is a mix between red and blue meant to show it isn't the Republicans who are under control it's the entire political system.

Actually, in the last frame of the video, " *Too much do we confuse a **_leader_** with an* owner", Leader was purple. They represent a tiny bit of goodwill inside them rather than wealth.
Purple means evil because traditionally it was only able to be used by the rich because the dye was expensive and people have all ways considered the rich evil.
Every part of this animation was thought through immensely.

@@nightwalker9875 You have never heard of color theory in literature? It is often used in poetry and writting to help color moods and themes and even emotions, and as for math, I did physics fun class, got to build rockets using math and chemistry, which is bit stupid, because chemistry uses a lot of math. And since you still don't understand color theory in literature, "my eyes are green with envy at the bliss you get to floating in the seas of soft velvety blue, but yet my blood boils yellow with the thought of the red ruthless storms with in your oblivious seas"
"be scared be angry" - like 2 minutes into the game we become what we behold
To those who don't get the symbolism, allow me to explain. Yellow , in my eyes, represents many things depending on the context. It could represent true freedom, or innocence. White symbolizes ignorance, and those who use it as a shield. Red represents pain. Green represents greed, and those willing to instill hate unto others to gain more.
To add further context purple is also a show of their immense power, as throughout history purple has been a colour of power and wealth
@@ZomboidMania But in this, it only shows Power. Look at the last frame of the video.

Literally what do you mean. It is a song about how the wealthy control society, and how they make people focus on struggles related to identity (the culture war) rather than the real difference in society, which is the one between classes. "The machine" is society and community
when ever the phrase The Machine comes up its talking about the elites who are in control of everything
That's a beauty of good lyrics, they fit many ideas.

The scene where Jesus is hanging while everyone gives money, and I assume faith, to a political figure is an extremely accurate portrayal of how religions are now
Edit: guys, it is so stupid to argue about this, me and shadowboxer came to an agreement, that we would respect each other’s opinions, why can’t you all do the same?
Not only that, but while Jesus hangs, the public figure wears the trappings of Christianity, with his cross badge and the cross behind him, but behind the cross is a bovine statue, which I'm assuming is a double reference to the golden calf idol in the story of Moses, and the Wall street bull.
Also I don't know if this was intentional, but I associate hanging in an American context with lynching, so that shot serves as a reminder that Jesus, a man of color preaching kindness and condemning greed, would have been murdered at many points in American history.
that’s not Jesus, it’s Muslims

The most telling image for me is 2:40. I don't know why but it feels chillingly accurate to what's going on today. I also like the use of the blindfold to symbolize "the blinded" or those that can't see what's really going on even if it's right in front of them.
Its people choosing a side they believe is right because their prefered political party or company said so. We need people who will look at both sides and decide which one they agree with more. Of course not everything is black and white. Everything is shades of gray. With both sides doing good things and bad things. Yet they like to tell people that the other side is bad while they are the good guys. While sliding all their transgressions under the carpet.

Absolutely love the interqction between the business man and the guitar player. It really gets across the message that, whatever you do *theyre* in charge
Since no one did this yet, here goes the lyrics:
(Intro)
Here's to the greater good, for all
Do what you know you should, for all
We all may die
(1st verse)
Something's going on, just look around
Fear is on the rise
And there's blood all over the ground
Let's all just blindfold the poor
We must remind them what's in store
We got 'em now
Just break them down a little bit more
(Ah)
(1st chorus)
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), feed the machine
Bring them all back down to their knees
There's no time to waste
Remind the slaves
They ain't gonna make it out alive today"
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), poison the well
Watch it all burn, take them straight to hell
He's got the whole (whole) world (world) in his hands
It was nice to know ya
We've all been damned, c'mon"
(2nd verse)
Nothing's going on, no need to fear
And we're all in this together
And just to make it all clear
We want the same thing as you
This will all be over soon
Now here's a little pill
Here's the truth
(Chorus bridge)
We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
We're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna
We're all gonna die
(2nd Chorus)
"Hey, you, feed the machine
Bring them all back down to their knees
There's no time to waste
Remind the slaves
They ain't gonna make it out alive today"
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), poison the well
Watch it all burn, take them straight to hell
He's got the whole (whole) world (world) in his hands
It was nice to know ya
We've all been damned, c'mon"
We've all been damned c'mon
(Final Chorus)
I said, "Hey (hey), you (you), feed the machine
Bring 'em all back down to their knees
There's no time to waste
Remind the slaves
They ain't gonna make it out alive today"
I said, "Hey (hey) you (you), poison the well
Watch it all burn, take them straight to hell

I love how there aren’t many colors but they all mean something, the toxic green being used to show the spread of greed, the glowing orange of the fire, the white of the blindfolds, but I can’t figure out what the red stands for, evil maybe? With the bleeding nose of the child abductor and the bleeding eyes of the school shooter, but they were both manipulated, maybe it represents hate? The people being thrown in prison hating their captors, the shooter hating the person he shot, but what about the child abductor? I also love the imagery of the blindfold finally slipping once the shooter has already done something horrible and he realizes what he did. Overall great animation.
I like seeing people point out the colors, and I enjoy reading the interpretations

Red- Corruption/loss of innocence (yellow).
Green- Money.
Yellow- Innocence, but less naive. Like an immunity to the corruption (red) of the outside world.
Purple- Power (maybe a reference to how purple signified royalty in the past).
White- The absence of color-ignorance.
