I was at the game. It was a nice tribute for Hertl, even though I don't like the jersey he is wearing. Both Shorthand goals weren't really Georgiev's fault, especially the Eichel one, that was as crazy as the goal Toffoli got that game. But yea I continue to question why SJ decided to give away Blackwood unless they just want to tank.
@@DiogenesTheCynic. He should have saved the Eichel one. Askarov is better than Blackwood that is why you trade him. Would you want to the knights to have a backup goalie making 4 to 5 mill? Did you see what the sharks got for blackwood?

They should have traded him away closer to the deadline. Grier jumped the gun too soon and left this team with no quality goalies. It has derailed a team that was starting to get competitive. Now, no matter what they do Vanecek/Georgiev will choke it all away in the 3rd period.
@@Evan8787 The team defense just is not there brother with or without Blackwood. It is not there with Askarov. Another top 10 pick if grier hits could be the change needed with Musty and Dickinson on the way.
As a VGK fan, I completely agree. I saw a great video breaking down celebrinis game away from the puck and it’s amazing how good of a 200ft player he is at his age. He creates that goal by an amazing stick-on-puck steal in neutral zone, fights to keep the play alive and makes the assist for a goal. Hes great in board battles, his defensive game is great, he is just an absolute elite player in pretty much every aspect of his position and he is still a kid!!! He is going to have an incredible career and I can’t wait to see what he does in this league. In a few years this sharks team is going to be at least a decent contender but I think they could be incredible if they rebuild correctly. The kid is the real deal no doubt about it.
Management still trying to lose even though they already got their generational talent. If 2005 Pitt and 2008 Blackhawks followed Grier's plan, they wouldn't have won Stanley Cups with their first 4 years.
The sharks playing Georgiev in hopes to trade him only makes sense if Mike Grier really thinks he can play well enough to be traded for a late round pick or to help the sharks lose to improve the draft. I will be curious what happens if the sharks find nobody who will even offer a 7th rounder for him after the trade deadline. It just seems like wasted starts to give him but at least the sharks draft improves.
