It’s been some years since I’ve practiced and trained my voice/ear, and this definitely was not a beginner excercise. I loved it though. I’ll have to come back to it later!
i used to take singing lessons. it’s been at least 8 years though. and over the years i sang less and less. haven’t done as many vocal warm ups/exercises as today. i can tell that my singing is worse than it was when i was at my best (i’m not that great though). but i think i did quite alright with this one. even though the last exercise, i had to listen to it a few times. i hope i’ll be motivated and remember to come back to this 😊

That was fun. I get so frustrated bc I want my voice to be better, but I can feel improvement every day when I practice consistently. And these videos def save me money and embarrassment of sucking in front of people! Haha
That’s great! I have a question we’ll maybe 2 lol the first one is: do you do these alongside vocal warmups? And the second is: when it gets too high or too low for ur voice to handle, do u just stop singing it and wait for it to go back down or back up, or do u just push yourself to the limit? Thank u for reading this!
This is great for when I'm not a vocal class! I've done almost all the vocal exercises from JVA and this is one of my favorites! Just be sure to do a good warm up BEFORE you do this one.
I have a theory. I think this isn’t that bad if you have well developed vibrato. It’ll take over and correct the pitches so you don’t be off when doing this. It just takes over
Thanks for all the videos you are placing, and i have a question about schedule. What is better way to do exercises - right now i do different exercises (for example - for chest voice in monday, for range in tuesday, for hed voice in wednesday etc.), but maybe it's better to train chest voice for week or two, then range, then head voice with same pattern. I'll be very appreciated if you'll help me with it..
Hey y'all. I'm trying to do vocal workouts (just getting back into vocals after a few years) and I'm finding that I'm really tame. I'm in my house where people are (unfortunately for them) forced to listen to my liprolls and other workouts, with more vocal techniques than just cleans, and they increasingly more annoying. (Yes, I'm using them safely.) But I think it can be irritating for them. I have no idea how to have the confidence not to be so tame because of that, so any advice would be great!
You can use a pillow (or a belt box if you’re willing to buy one, I have one and it’s an excellent muffler), choose times to do the vocal workouts when people are out of the house, or just leave all your insecurities at the door! I’ve been down this road before, I used to suck so I did vocal workouts every day in the shower. Needless, it payed off bcuz now I’m an excellent singer and got the opportunity to be professionally trained, so I know it works. This doesn’t mean “do your vocal exercises while their on the phone or trying to finish a big project and then expect them to not go and tell you to quiet down” , but firmly tell them that these are things you need to do, and remember that it’s not their voice, it’s YOURS. Everyone starts somewhere, so even if it may be annoying now, in a year you (and your family) are going to thank you for putting the work into your voice😊💜
I have the same problem. I just talked to them and told them that there is an hour during the day in which I do it, and they expect that to happen! Now I released my first song and they’re very happy for me! Communication is everything! Good luck :)
Hi I saw this reply by @Jamie S and it made feel so understood and hopeful! I was wondering, how did you get the opportunity to be professionally trained?

Just sing what you can sing, it's ok you can't sing all the notes (especially if they in not your range), with time and practice you'll widen your range.
Heya! I just came across this comment whilst doing the warmups, and I thought I'd give it a shot at answering! So this video is to help with your riffs and runs which are basically fancy embelishments pop stars like Ariana grande use over a range of notes so like they'd descend like 5 notes whilst vibrato can be used on one note which is basically like a controlled 'wobble' in the voice like Shawn Mendes uses it a lot I hope that helped!:)
I'm sorry, you could've specified how exactly we're supposed to sing this... Do I keep one smooth sound? Do I crack it up with each note like I'm laughing?
I need a little help if some one can........ When I sing a little from my mix, I mean imagin you are singing high note with more air flow out of your mouth like it's not chest voice but it's a voice between chest and head with more airy... So when I sing in that case my right ears below muscles start pain or you can say my right side of throat with ear muscle hurt but only when I sing airy when I put more weight on voice of chest then it doesn't pain,,,..... Now I don't know why is this happening I'm doing every exercise correctly and head voice also got bad,..... So any one know what's going on.. And my ear muscles pain hard....... One more thing 3 days before I was suffering from tonsil so when I swallow food only my right throat hurts....but after days I recover from tonsil so is it means some tonsil is still hear or it's different problem pls help
