"Térreo" is an alternate way to say "1st floor" in a Portuguese speaking country, and it most likely will be there in your average building
I spent this Hallowe'en building a costume I haven't even finished by midnight. It is a good costume, will still probably take a photo for the fun of it when it is done.
Halloween for me definitely became much more lame as I got older especially since I moved and the place I live now has hardly any trick or treating or decorations at all. Nowadays I either just watch a scary movie and/or go hang out as some supposedly haunted location in the middle of the night. Where I used to live however was a Halloween haven; practically every house had so many cool decorations, there would be so many nice people handing out sweets and we’d go out with a group of like 30 kids to raid them. I’ll always remember the time where me and my friends were giving out sweets but instead of them being actually sweets they were brussel sprouts wrapped in foil.
Cool thing about Scotland; tricks are actually involved but it’s the little kids who give them. They normally say a joke before you give them candy, it’s really adorable :)
Smokee has a unique taste in candy. i personally dont like candy corn too much (it taste like flavored wax, but it just might be the brand we get) HEATH IS FREAKING GOATED, THO! I also remember the time i nearly choked to death on a gummy eyeball. That was some fun Trauma. :D

We then pulled into a duchess parking lot and went inside and I was genuinely super confused, then she ordered my brother and I actual food (and soda) from duchess, and that- that made my little 12 year old day, even more than the candy did
I don't know if I was actually 12, but this was years and years ago. I may have been so young that it was just Mom and I with my brother at our grandparents' house, or it may have been in the 7-12 year old range where it was my mom, my eager young self, and my toddler or little kid brother

there was this one house on halloween that was circus themed. not only were the creepy clowns perfectly horrifying, they handed out BUTTERY, FRESH POPCORN FOR FREE!!!!!! i loved that house

Lately, I’ve been thinking about interesting ways to give out candy (not that that’s something I can reasonably do from an apartment.) I’ve mainly thought about being the Bowser Space of houses, where I ask to borrow the Trick-or-Treaters bags/sacks/baskets and spin a wheel to decide wether I give them candy or take some away. I find the idea of a 6 year old walking up to my house expecting to get some candy only to leave with half as much candy as they arrived, or someone that got started early in the evening losing a ton of candy to a Candy Revolution while the other kid that just started gets a huge head start for the night absolutely hilarious.

I love Halloween, and even though I'm too old for trick or treat, I eagerly look to have kids ask, because I always scare the crap out of them when I open the door. I do hand in a nice handful of candy. So kids know I'm THAT house that hands out the good candy, but also the scary house. Every year is a werewolf costume so I can run out the door barking and growling. One year I had a parade of kids calling out wolf! Asking me to come out and scare them. You have no idea how happy that makes me
