What makes Gorillaz unique is the fact that they don't stick with one style and its so refreshing bcz they alway seem to find the perfect collaborations for them as well
Great stuff! If you wanna keep going down the Gorillaz rabbit hole, a great follow-up is always "Feel Good Inc." Animation gets top notch too. And in case you're curious, it's actually a one man band (with some features).
Damon Albarn is the musician behind Gorillaz and his artistic partner (behind the characters/videos) is Jamie Hewlett, of Tank Girl fame. Damon’s first band was (is, still) Blur, and he has had multiple musical projects including operas and other bands. Gorillaz is a constantly changing collaborative project with Damon and Jamie as the constant core. They’re preparing right now for a world tour that will start in South America in two weeks
Oh if you've seen Desole then that's a bit of a stark contrast o.o aside from the music difference between the two, that was made like over a decade and a half later so the girl you see in this video (Noodle (the asian supersoldier guitarist of the group)) is drawn as a 30-year-old there since in-universe the characters do get older as time passes. Here she's like 11 I think.
6:40 I swear every male reactor pauses hahahhaha and every woman lets it run through that shit is so funny edit: also, if you like Gorillaz with rappers, check out Pacman with Schoolboy Q or Saturn Barz with Popcaan. its fire
Gotta get you guys to react to the greatest decade of music THE 80's...Start with some rock....AC/DC " Thunderstruck" Official video......Skid Row " 18 and Life" Official video.....Bon Jovi " Blaze of Glory".....also check out 80's pop and R&B....such good music!!
If you would like to react to an artist you might not have heard of, I recommend Aesthetic Perfection with the song Gods and Gold. It features Richard Z Kruspe, (the guitarist of Rammstein)

Wow that’s wild, we had no idea, I (Zay) thought it was a multi person band, that’s crazy!

I'm 66 and listen to what they now call classic rock but I thought that this was pretty cool. I really enjoyed it.
There's a video somewhere on RUclips that explains the whole history of each character and each band member how they came to get together
Stylo, Dare or Feel Good Inc next please
Still listening in summer 2023
great reaction!!!
You aren't wrong about the 90s vibe. The guy that does the animation did a famous 90s comic book called tank girl.
Feel Good Inc should be next. Pac man another one!
Ok bet! Appreciate you!
Most of their songs have features. That is partly why the genre of their songs varies.
Time by Pink Floyd or just the whole Dark Side of the Moon album (it was on top 100 list for 15 years straight)
