No backhand more than average forehand , good serve and very athletic body...managed to win one grand slam...more than enough as far as his tennistique abilities were concerned...but what a showman he was...

in volley and service in power ..federrer ..novak and many did at this time we've seen not equalize that incredible player even with better tennnis rackets..the borg era had plaers with volley and serve to win points easily that we did not see in many years..victor pecci..noah..mac enroe..becker ,..jacob lasek..the era nadal and federrer was comparable to women tennis winning their points in long rallyes..compare to those tennismen they were completely absent in quality service and volleys

Great athletic abilities..but not matched. By a very average tennis technique ..his french open win in 1983 was mostly due to wise tactical choices that totally derailed the clay machines of the time ( Wilander and lendl) and tremendous discipline...he constantly failed to recreate that. .the uprising of power tennis ..made his style obselete. With no other choice than retire.and become an exhibition clown...
