I was in the city centre, showed some pissed off glaswegians who were watching it live on a big screen opposite the print works, I showed them where to watch the rest of the game because they cut the game off with about 20 minutes to go. I felt sorry for them, it was a dick move to cut it off, bound to cause disturbance from the rangers fans. They all seemed alright to me and I understand them being pissed off.

Was easily 250,000 there that day. Rangers fans for miles and miles, never seen anything like it. They may play in a poor league but Rangers are up there with the worlds biggest clubs in terms of popularity across the world. (City fan)

10 years later and am still gutted we lost this final, but nevertheless i was down in Manchester that faithful day and it was amazing it’s a day a’ll remember for the rest of my life! When Celtic got to the UEFA Cup Final in 2003 a knew lots of Celtic fans that traveled over to Seville, including some of my mates and they were constantly saying how great it was to see there team play in a European Final as it was a once in a lifetime event and i admit deep down a was jealous so for my team to do it to only 5 years later was an unbelievable adventure!! ⚽️💙🏴🇬🇧

It's got it's nice parts and it's shitholes but mainly it's the people that make Manchester John. Generally just down to earth and kind.
Everyone knows how beautiful Edinburgh is albeit it's quite a small place with terrible congestion. Some of that can't be helped as you can only get at it from the south and west due to the North Sea and the Forth.
But Glasgow is very underrated! Sure there are really shit parts ( the schemes) but the City/West End/South side is as good as anywhere. Personally I think it's the best big city architecturally in the UK. OK it's not Oxford or Bath or Leamington Spa ( LS is only a town) but Glasgow's a proper city much bigger than those I just mentioned. Sure much of it was built with the profits from Slavery, just like some of Liverpool but it still looks good. As they used to say "Glasgow'SmilesBetter" :-)

There was 2 screens in Manchester.... 1 didn't show the game... That was more than half the reason of the riots... Not because we lost as the video clip said, I was there. Even though we lost, it's a day I'll never forget!

Rangers never died you idiot. The old company went into liquidation but all of it's assets, business, and undertaking including the football club itself was bought over by a new company before the old company went bust. In other words the club wasn't harmed in the liquidation process.

They were in the 1970 European Cup Final, when they lost 2-1 to Feyenoord, and in 2003, they went to Seville to play the UEFA Cup Final, in which they lost 3-2 to Porto.
