Never had an Atari. I was an Intellivision kid. All my friends had Ataris so I played it a lot so lots of nostalgia there. I borrowed my friends one time just to play River Raid.
Buying games in bulk is really the way to go if you’re looking to get the lowest cost per cartridge. Yes you will get some duplicates this way but you may also get some rarer treasures that would be a lot more if purchased separately.
I have libraries around me that's still check out games. They sell them too I bought 4 wii I games for a 1$ each. The mighty 101, Kirby, smash bros, and Zelda remastered hd. They were all complete and clean too. Go check your local libraries and see if they still have video games and see if they will sell them to you. Mine was selling to make room for newer stuff
Current rankings: 19 Wizard of Wor 32 Fantastic Voyage 39 China Syndrome 42 Mountain King 57 Commando Raid 62 Bank Heist 86 Beany Bopper 112 Gyruss 121 Congo Bongo 138 Buck Rogers 144 Turmoil 166 Reactor 175 Masters of the Universe 179 Front Line 187 Tanks but No Tanks 206 Omega Race 209 Thunderground 211 Venture 220 Infiltrate 222 Picnic 225 Jedi Arena 227 Space Jockey 235 Skeet Shoot 238 Star Fox 239 Fire Fly 251 Entombed 256 Squeezebox 258 Racquetball 263 Karate 266/266 Dishaster Not reviewed: Tapeworm, Nexar, Spider-Man, Porky's, Sneak 'n Peek, Worm War I, Deadly Duck, Fast Eddie, Football, Soccer, Sub Scan, Wabbit, Tac-Scan, and Sorcerer. Spider-Man is probably the most popular game that he hasn't reviewed yet. (He also hasn't done Miniature Golf and Riddle of the Sphinx even though they were semi-monthly challenge games). Three months ago he got some "mystery" games including Super Cobra, which hasn't been reviewed yet, either. I don't expect reviews for 2-player games, and sadly many of the M-Network games, like the Intellivision games they were based on, didn't have a 1-player option! So the super-challenge of games like Super-Challenge Football, was to find another kid who knew how to play the game well! Too bad they didn't allow you to be on the same side against the computer A.I. in sports games!
Looks like a good pickup. Surprised to hear you sold some of your titles. Im actually about done with the atari library and am only missing bigger things like Crazy Climber and Air Raid. (probably will never own Air Raid). Though I am cheating with repros of some games like Coke Wins, Music Machine and River Patrol.
Only checking out books and renting movies, as far I my librarying Sounds weird to check out video games in library IMO: Airlock is worst Atari 2600 game ever made
me and my sister played a lot of sneak'n'peek on our atariclone in the 90's...
My library rented out video games and vhs tapes. I miss those days!
