- www.UniversalSp... 2009, Dallas, Texas, USA, American Womens Gymnastics Visa Championship, day 2, and in one moment, it is gone, Rebecca Bross was in the lead after day 1, but a disasters Uneven Bar routine dropped her to third. (Universal Sports, UniversalSports.com)
Gymnastics looks so damn hard, you have to perform insane acrobatics perfectly with so many people watching, and you can only do it for a few years before you're considered too old.
It is did you know every gymnast has to do at least 10 v-ups plus push-ups and bar and floor exercises. Im a gymnast it is hard you will get tried but have to keep going.✌😂😊😅😇✨🌟👀👐🙏🙌💃👏💪👍💪🙌💃💪😊😊👐💃💪👍👏💃😇😇😅😂😊✈✈✈✈🚞🚋🚋🚗🚘🚉🚗
You can do it until you're 30 years old i think then they wont let you do anything.
nahor88 I'm glad you understand..
Most people will say "oh that's easy" on a level 10 tumbling pass.
nahor88 for me it’s not really hard, you just have to be very strong mentally and physically because in gymnastics mental blocks happen VERY often and basically the only ways to get rid of them is to build a bridge and get over it because in gymnastics you can’t keep having the same mental block you just have to push through it.
Mariah Hurtado exactly and it’s soooo frustratinggggg 😂
one of the toughest gymnast I've ever seen!!
Robert Johnson ,
Totally agree!!! She has been one of the toughest gymnasts. Whatever happened - she always got back on the apparatus and fighted back even stronger. I really miss her gymnastics. Especially her unique and powerful techniques. Unfortunately, her injuries ruined her elite career ://
Ikr
Can we all just remember she is very talented and was only 16?
She is always getting hurt
Yeah cas she is a hard workers do this stuff its extremely hard
Stop being mean like that
Yup!
It doesnt matter that you fell, it matters that you picked yourself up and finished.
no, it matters that you fell and got a disastrous score.
senorgato70 she can always come back the next year, gymnasts are not perfect; I wasn't perfect. I've crashed and burned on those uneven bars.
If sports really are just about the score, then I think sports are useless...
Kellan Larson Stop copying and pasting this everywhere!
Kellan Larson I agree
I think she always hurts herself because she's so young and she's so nervous about what everyone is gonna think or about how everyone watches her
Exactly what I think
+Kim McCulloch same
+BeccaIdkk Well i think her age doesnt matter because gabby douglas is near her age and way better than her not being mean
zieasia rembert they are both different. That was fucking rude btw.
Agreed. I always knew she didn’t have what it takes, not trying to be mean spirited I’m just saying... I could tell this wasn’t her thing.
is it just me or dose she get hurt in every video
Yes she does
+May-bell LOL ya it's rather she's horrible or maybe they only film her at her mistakes
+Darkfire She was really good. She just got hurt a few times and it ruined her career.
no its not just you she isn't ready to be a gymnast
+GIRLSAREAWESOME She is ready she did amazing on bars but she slipped.
She's pushing herself too hard. Not good... God bless her though
it was a really great routine except for the wipe-outs. very clean and she stuck the landing!
Well said! It's true. I was there and saw this (and Nastia's fall) and was amazed at her bravery. And the crowd was so supportive (unlike some of these comments here). That's courage, to keep going.
I damn near teared up watching her continuosly messing up. I admire all gymnasts. They go out there and mess up in front on the world and they keep coming back competing. I mess up one time with everybody looking at me and I'll be like "Screw this"
her smile at the end of her routine though
I feel so bad for this poor girl.. I mean she seems to have been dealt the worst cards. She had the potential to have been an amazing gold medal gymnast.. Sad.
She was good but I honestly think she took herself a little too seriously. I've never seen her even crack a smile. Whereas you look at somebody like Shawn Johnson, who was always smiling and having fun. I think Rebecca could have had as much potential as Shawn, but she just didn't have the right attitude to me.
why are you so surprised at her seriousness lmao? do you even follow gymnastics? some of the best gymnasts of all time were incredibly serious and focused, rarely cracking a smile.
Annie Fulton
i completely agree with you on that.she is phenomenal ,but was not in the right mind set.
@@tinmanluver35 and what does smiling do ?
She had SOOO many injuries, and it must have been lost of pressure, but she got back up and tried again. And she did very good not counting the falls.
Good thing Abby Lee Miller isn't her coach
😂😂😂😂
+GymnastB1poiuyy
why did you say that ? Abby only teaches dance
+Kiara harris Lol
no offence but that is a horrible thing to say!
It is such a shame because her uneven parralel bar performance is beautiful. She's great! I think there is some trauma or deep dark unhappiness in her life for her to have recurring problems. I wish I could tell her how great she is and to not put such big pressure on herself and she'll do great.
On bars I slipped off the high bar then hit the low bar and fractured my neck and my back
Can you do gymnastics after the accident
+Melissa the unicorn are you serious
piper Story I'm so sorry for you hopefully you're back swinging on uneven bars soon
oh my god
omg I feel so bad she is so amazing at gymnastics and the parts she did were close to perfect ~jada♡
poor thing...she finished strong though(: and what a great dismount!
This makes my heart sink..... The look in her eyes is so sad!! :(
Why in the world is she doing 5 full routines in a warm up for heaven's sake!?
She is so strong I would have started crying if I hurt myself like that
She is one of the most amazing gymnasts Ive ever seen. Im a level 6 gymnast and i focus so hard like Rebecca does. I get really nervous when i compete, but when i think about Rebecca...i think of how she competes like she practices :) and she finished up her bar routine great after her falls.
Everything was going so well
Very brave, to keep going and finish as strongly as she did.
I think Rebecca Bross just succumbed to pressure too easily. She really is very good but she crumbles with pressure, and she doesn't have the mental toughness to recover if anything goes wrong
Agree with you there...isn't it weird that she and Nastia train at the same gym and they are both like that :S
wow, that looked painful, but she got back on and finished well. That takes strength of character
I remember seeing this as it happened. I felt so bad, over and over and over again.
Actually, in interviews a lot of the gymnasts at this level say that they love when they can hear the crowd and don't like when it's too quiet. They have great mental toughness and are used to it.
I feel for her errors where she let go of the high bar with one arm, and then second error on the lower bar in how she didn't get a good grip on it. For it causing a deduction. It looked excellent or good here. Beautiful how she is shown doing her skills on the side line.
this just shows people to always try and try again :) and to never give up
Her coach: "stop making a fool out of me" - Valeri
She is scarred for life.
exactly.
Aha
ItsAllison if you’re referring to her boobs then yes, yes she is.
Gross seemed like she had such a fighting spirit, especially with that smirk at the end of the routine when she easily could have looked pissed off.
leas you treid and on the firt bit it was fantastic👍👍👍👍👍
the man he put the finger up at becca
Olga Strazheva had GREAT dance and expression in her Nijinsky's "Rite of Spring" 1989 fx.
i feel soooo bad for her
I feel so bad for her I want to hug her shes actually so good :( look at her face of disappointment I feel so bad
she was my favorite since I was 1 years old
i love rebecca bross and when she got hurt on vault i almost cryed but great bars and i have landed on my ribs like that to when i was on bars does not feel good
Same. But though I hate to say this, she's a bit inconsistent and if she were on the team and competing in the all-around for example, she might make one mistake and blow the entire thing. :(
I do too-I was thinking just that the first time I saw her throw that huge Jaeger!
Is that Nastia liukins dad? Because it looks like him
She's a tough cookie, great athlete!
awww i feel so bad for her! whe she hurt her knee i was doing the same thing and i dislocated my knee 8 times. im sorry rebecca
(2 of 2)
"Infants are born bowlegged because of their folded position in the uterus. The infant's bowed legs begin to straighten once the child starts to walk and the legs begin to bear weight (about 12 to 18 months old). By around age 3, the child can usually stand with the ankles apart and the knees just touching. If the bowed legs are still present, the child is called bowlegged.
this must been before she cracked her legg
Unfortunate routine, but I like this gymnast. I hope she comes into her own.
It looked like she hurt herself.
She did well to recompose herself honestly.
damn, what a boss. she hit the pole hard but still stayed on it.
Rebecca will come back even stronger next time. It's sport and it happens. I like this athlete very much-she's a new star in the firmament of gymnastics-absolutely. :)
that always hurts when you mess up on the uneven bars
rebecca should ignore all the haters and keep going iloveu!
@milo88l yes he is her coach as well as nastias coach and dad he also coached carly patterson
Poor Rebecca
It really is. I bet it sure makes her feel better!
She looked so mad when she came off the bar
she's a very very good gymnast
I think she used to at one point. In older videos of her she did all her routines almost flawlessly to perfection. And remember she has received two very major injuries and she hasn't really had enough time to truly recover. She needs to take more time off to be more mentally ready next time.
I love her hair like that!
Such a shame. This girl had so much talent and potential, but she just seems to have way too much bad luck. I realized that, especially for her, when she makes a mistake there's surely more to come, either in the same event or later on. I think that she lacks a bit of the "just move on, it's ok" mindset.
SHES SO GOOOOOD!!!!!
@chiuhuh I dont think the title is disrespectful; its not a case of schadenfreude; nobody is getting pleasure from her misfortune. Its an appropriate title as it describes what happens.
Was that her coach getting in the way and distracting her right before the injury?
Poor Becca
why is she the only one ive seen that has messed up every single time
I think she is the underdog in gymnastics but she is amazing
I luv her gymnastics
She has beautiful hair btw
you can tell she has lots of natural ability. i hope her knee injury heals so she can get back in the game with competition these days
@MAVsince1991 sp I cnnot really see it, but are you trying to tell me that she should just stop and not point her toes.... or maybe u should just explain it to me...
Actually no he didn't coach Carly Patterson, she just trained at the same gym with a different coach named Yevgeny Marchenko
i dont get how the title is disrespectful. thats how videos get watched on this site, is because of their titles. im not trying to be rude or anything but its the truth. she did wipeout. i am a gymnast and i wiped out during competitions but thats how gymnastics is. its a risky sport.
amazing recovery
does any one know when gymnastic competitions start again?
Was this after her knee injury on vault?
Nope! Her knee injury was in 2011. This video is from 2009.
It always comes across as so much tension between Valeri and Bross for some reason
He's their coach. He does it to keep them from landing on their head if they fall.
I'm not really a fan of hers but I still have a lof of respect for her. Poor girl, she looked pretty upset.
ad blocker, if you have chrome its in the extensions menu
Did she straighten her hair??
i lover her casual forward walk over :P
Is nastia's father her coach? Wow...
+Haley Grant yes lol i believe secretly he is meaner than marta lol
She did amazing despite the falls 😄
This girl has enormous height on bars. i just hope she'll recover on time. i love watching this routine.
what did she spray on her hands
Very nice parfomance.
Definitely stronger than me!
I hope she is ok
She tried her best
and the tears begin
But she didn't cry??
how is it a mean title? its her last name and what happened.
I think the reason she kept making mistakes is because she was too hard on herself on her first mistake which caused a chain of mistakes because she wasn't thinking of what she was supposed to do but instead of her mistake(s).
she needed new grips. Something wasn't right with her catches. seemed to slip on both nights.
she was only 16 years old
is 13.35 a good or bad score
Jasmine Rodriguez you don't have to be rude about it. She always try's her best. Gosh
I feel so bad for her cause she's wiped out so many times
how old is she
