This man made my childhood exciting, everytime entering his store and coming out with a new game with the highlight of my month. His store was very special and I hope there is a way he is able to return.
This place is a peice of my childhood and now it's gone for who knows how long. I moved back to spokane as an adult and one of the reasons was literally this shop. I will miss it every day its gone
Maybe we can all come together as a gaming community and help to make sure Steven is able to reopen, with this place being dear to so many...this place is a Spokane landmark and it kills my bf to know it’s closed for the time being
Such a phenomenal amount of respect we have for you Steve, and to all your staff who made coming into your shop an adventure! 13 years and probably 40 visits of outstanding service!
Damn... So many memories. I traded games all the time as a kid in the 90s, I loved rpgs and couldn't afford $60-$100 for a new one whenever I beat one so being able to trade was amazing and allowed me to play all those classics. I remember doing some cleaning up and stuff around the store once and Steve gave me and my buddy a free lv4 trade and I traded for shining force 2.. One of my best friends growing up ended up working for Steve for quite a while ... And I used to go to the trade a game bowling alley in airway heights quite a bit after I turned 21 to have some beer and bowl with my friends.. Good times.. Brought tears to my eye seeing him packing up.. I'm just one of many. Thank you Steve, it was a beautiful business, and more.✌
I had been going to trade-a-game for nearly a decade and a half now, since i very first got an allowance and was able to buy me own games. It was where i purchased my first gamecube game for the first console i ever owned. It was also the only place to find good older games, and fix consoles reliably. I will miss it so much, and hope we can find a way to bring it back.
This sucks! I used to go here all the time and trade my old Sega games back in the 90's. Trade-A-Game has a special place in my childhood and in my heart. May you folks get back on your feet soon.
I'm from out of town and whenever I come to Spokane I try to stop in to trade a game cuz they have been my favorite game store. I drove there today and witnessed that they closed and am finding this video to at least have some closure as too why. I really hope they reopen there or another location because they were the best. Thank you!
Hi my name's Adam rose. I have been a native of the man store since I was 7 years old. Till present. I am now 32 years old. This sickness COVID crap. Is taking my favorite stores my friends family close business partners. And this man. Love ya bro no homo lol ur an amazing human being. And hope to continue doing business again for the rest of my life... Thank you again... KIND SIRRRRRRR
I was in the foster care system in Spokane and Steven always gave us really good deals because he new what we couldn't afford. an amazing man and I hope he comes back. The way he mentions doing business the way he did refers to his trading system. If people wanted you could trade a tier 3 game for 1 tier 2 or 2 tier 3s, alot less profit then game world or gamestop. BTW Skrew gameworld for opening up across from him. They started marking alot of their prices to be just under steven's
Please get ahold of me Steve. I've been networking and trying to help you get re-established or liquidate your leftovers. Want to see you get back on your feet
I can still smell the smell of the trade a game at the Division location. trading sega Cd and sega saturn games I traded Panzer Dragoon Saga for Shining Force 3 and Guardian Heroes. Still seems like a fair trade and shining force 3 still has the star looking level 4 sticker on it. Does anyone remember the manager's name there? I feel like it was Steven's brother.
This is sad. I used to work in the gaming retail industry long ago... after i moved on, i learned the the company closed due to an underground porn ring :( This is sad, that a make believe virus is ruining businesses like this.

I loved this place it was my all-time favorite game store
Will miss this place so much. The history there is and was amazing
Such a nice good guy; and one of my all time favorite stores ever. Been trading/ buying games and consoles there for about 14 years. I'm 24 years old.

I've been going there since the 90's when Steve had the Northside location. My brother used to work there. 😪

If he had a Grand Re Opening, tons of people would show up.

Thanks for keeping me in working Atari controllers and games... and taking good care of them while they're in your store.
This man has been in my life since I was 12 years old. Really so sad to see when it was closing.

Oh man you have been around since my childhood the location that was near sunset. You were the way I was able you get new snes games. :(
Used to ride my bike to his store when I was a kid to trade games, I'm 30 now.
