Because Unohana will do the same thing Yama did. Let herself get stabbed, grab Aizen's sword, and hit Aizen. Then heal herself. And this version of Aizen is much weaker. He doesn't have the Hyogoku attached. So he has no regeneration powers.
Aizen also presumably doesn't really know what Unohana's bankai does, for all he knows, when she activated it it will melt his bones or something. Not to mention, Aizen never really showed exceptional skill in swordsmanship, these two factors would be dangerous for Aizen. He could win, sure, but he was at a stage of his plan where the risk of getting potentially severely injured could jeopardize the rest of his plan
I was just thinking this. We saw how much a bloodlust Kenpachi fights. I wouldn't be shocked if Unohana figured out the sword thing similar to what Kenpachi did with Tousen. They seem to fight intuitively for the thrill of battle.
He doesnt need regeneration. He beats her easily. Aizen with his illusions didn't need to stab Yama, he could have just gone for the straight k1ll if he wanted.
Even Aizen doesn't want to face Zaraki before he gained immortal body from Hogyoku, ofc Aizen without Hogyoku don't stand a chance against Unohana which is way stronger than Zaraki at that time Kubo's answer only shows Aizen's confidence maybe because he doesn't know how scary she is, but aware of her at the same time
Unohana possibly letting the beast reemerge early against Aizen would've been quite something. Aizen just moving to Sogyoku makes sense for a timing and plan oriented person like him. Her deduction shows just what a detective she was, no one suspects their own.
@farleydeonta I would say both are pretty close. Base Unohana without healing is on par (a bit bellow) 100% base Kenpachi. But Base Aizen is also stated to be close to Base Yama. (Same as Kenpachi). So They all are very close to each other in base. Then you factor in the fact Unohana can heal herself and Aizen shikai already being activated... and both are pretty even.
@@filipe_paixao The problem still comes down to: Eventually Aizen will have to stab her with the sword, at that point and time, it would be game over. Uno, unlike the squad captain, can heal herself easily so the damage is basically null and void. But now, she can see aizen and Uno scales pretty closely with current base Kenpach. No way THAT Aizen would stand a chance in a fight against her. Current Aizen would absolutely defeat her and so would the Aizen that fought Ichigo, but not THAT Aizen.
@@farleydeonta She wouldn't have, being under Kyoka Suigetsu against someone at Aizen's level is a death sentence for that level of character. Even Unohana doesn't believe she can win
You know what the funniest part about Aizen is? He purposely didn't try to kill anybody, Just wanted to leave them alive so that they can see his plan unfold
@@heckinbasedandinkpilledoct7459 Sadly its more of "Kubo says that Aizen has a smart plan" In many instances, Aizen could have do much better without weird plans. For example, he simply had no need to start Rukia execution at all, he could still obtain hogyoku while having her in a maggots nest, or even just temporary arrested. It will be much better for example to orchestrate a rebellion in gotei (because for many even capitan level shinigami the policy of seiretei is complete garbage) chop down enough aristocracy from four great houses, maybe even yamamoto himself, so when zero squad is forced to come down, he has shinigami fighting them maybe even killing them.
he basically pulled a Ywach before Ywach did it. Not that he couldnt win, but the toll the battle would take would leave him helpless once someone else strong showed up.
I'm pretty sure he knew WHAT she was and why she kept her power under wraps. I believe he said he didn't "want to wake the sleeping ogre" or something to that effect
Aizen was scared of Unohana. Kubo could’ve worded it that way and said the exact same thing. Thinking you can beat someone and knowing you will are two entirely different things. Aizen had neither the time nor the inclination to find out.
He was not afraid of her but knew that if he fought her there then he would have to use all of his power to defeat her and get exhausted himself He just acknowledged her strength and knew that forcibly picking such a hard battle at that moment wasn't worth it nor necessary
Even ignoring Kubo’s answer, as you all seem so willing to do, Aizen would have to be an idiot not to be, at least, somewhat fearful of her. Fear: anticipation of the possibility that something unpleasant will occur: Like, oh idk, a fight to the death with the original and true Kenpachi, whom he knows, at the very least, will exhaust his stamina, against whom he only thinks he can win. Had either of them attacked, whatever followed would’ve certainly been unpleasant. Aizen is no idiot.
FINALLY. I’ve been arguing this with aizen and zaraki fans forever. Unohana is damn near unkillable. She is an instantaneous healer with over a thousand years of healing practice / swordplay. People overlook the fact her bringing kenpachi back up to his prime took her using her reiatsu to heal herself and reset his life force before dying, thousand of times over. I really don’t think the show has really shed how much light on how much reiatsu she has to have to be such a broken healer. All the hypnosis on earth isn’t going to help you beat someone who heals the second you touch them.
Its sad that some people think Unohana is weak because she lost to zaraki, what Kubo said is quite obvious to competent readers. Unohana was a top 3 captain back then and when she said shes stronger than everyone except zaraki in TYBW was just her speaking facts. Zaraki overwhelmed an OG captain as a kid, hes an outlier and even in their Muken battle we know unohana could keep healing it was just about dying for zaraki to take the mantle Heck even Aizen and Yhwach were wary of Zaraki. She covered Muken in blood literally making an entire battlefield her butchershop and shes immortal in it. If the Hell arc happens Unohana will surprise some fans But not the good readers. Theres also the people that downplay unohana to make their fav characters look stronger like shunsui because they cant fanthom zaraki being stronger than their favs. IMO its Aizen, Zaraki, Yamamoto, Urahara, Unohana, Shunsui. (top 5 people in their prime to ever be in the Gotei 13 captains).
@@AlexDrewsumin you would be surprised, Though everyone in universe speak of her with utmost respect with a touch of fear, some fans try to downplay her. Its because accepting Unohanas power means also accepting Zarakis power which somehow theres section of the fandom that think hes overrated for some strange reason.
People think that? That's crazy. Do people forget that pre training with Unohana, Zaraki killed three sternritter without opening his eyepatch and that very Zaraki is easily "killed" by Unohana?
That's not how it works. Every member can ask whatever they want. But Kubo chooses whether or not he will answer the question. There are many submitted questions that are unanswered.
What pisses me off about these QnA is that the fans keep asking questions and giving an possible explanation at the same time. Like, Kubo can just use the explanation given and confirm it as true, even if it weren't the case in the first place. Just ask the damn question and don't say anything else.
@A-RedHerring I wouldn't say he got pushed to his limit by Isshin...at least not Isshin alone. Keep in mind, 1) he's been keeping kyoka suigetsu active the entire time, he fought a majority of the captains and vizards...2 of which he used a good deal of reiatsu to do his flash step illusions and negate Suzumebachi...and 3) he was struck by Itto Kaso from Yamamoto all prior to Isshin and the other joining I also wouldn't be surprised if his stamina is naturally lower than most captain since it doesn't seem like he's ever been in a prolonged fight prior to this. That's just my speculation tho. Guidebook wise, he sits at 80/100 on stamina if I recall
Smart & Calm soul reapers are usually very good at using kido. Hachi, Tessai, Urahara, Nanao, Rukia, Aizen, Momo, etc. So its safe to say Unohana is very good at kido too. 👍
@@kanoreese1253 It didn't, Aizen seals, or him not being on the chair, didn't? Oh, you will do anything for Unohana won't you? How many hours have you spent in the w4shr00m cause of her, I can only imagine. You prolly do it for Zaraki too.
This is only tangentially related to the topic of discussion, but there's another factor to keep in mind when it comes to a battle between Aizen and Unohana at this particular point of the story (the only point of the story where that fight could reasonably happen). Gin. Aizen already has plenty of reasons not to fight Unohana. She'd drain his energy and take up a lot of his time, she does indeed have a chance of beating him outright (I give her about a 30% chance, and Aizen would not want to take that risk), and fighting her honestly gains him nothing. But assuming he abandons all good sense and fights her anyway, I feel like no matter the outcome, Gin wins. Either Aizen's too exhausted afterwards to fight a captain-class opponent, which Gin is, and he kills him and takes his revenge, or Unohana outright defeats Aizen and renders him helpless, but (probably) alive, at which point Gin swoops in, knocks the drained Unohana out and finishes the job. Of course, Aizen doesn't know this, and would in fact probably expect Gin to be on his side, but in a way that just makes it funnier that this hypothetical fight basically winds up as "Whoever wins, Gin really wins".
Aizen knew Gin was his enemy, and Gin assumed Aizen knew. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer,” puts a sad but comedic twist on their partnership. The whole thing was basically a decades/centuries long standoff. But I think this adds to your point. Aizen does not like it when he doesn’t know where Gin is.
At that point in the story, Mr. Kubo had not yet decided on Gin's motivation or where his allegiance really laid. Obvious this is speaking from an out-of-universe perspective, but at least at the time of the Soul Society arc Gin would, in Mr. Kubo's mind, likely not betray Aizen, as that was only something decided upon later.
@corruptangel6793 He could as well just order Gin to fight her and the moment Gin is gonna lose Aizen steps in and kills her because she is already exhausted
@@Intrepid_ExplorerNot so sure if that was decided later as his interactions with Rangiku in the SS arc implies/foreshadows he isn't "really" on Aizens side. Ofcourse we as an audience only realize that much later but this implies he kinda already knew where he was going with Gin since the beginning.
Now that I think of it, a battle between Unohana and The Miracle would had been a freaking blast. He couldn't activate his schrift since she'd probably heal him boforehand 🤣
It makes a lot of sense. Even if he fought her as she chose to get serious, he wouldn’t be able to one shot her. Not only would that battle have gotten bloody real quick, but also the commotion would’ve brought the other captains over, and that would’ve further caused the issues for Aizen.
Obviously we all can only speculate but i think Aizen knew he had to avoid guys that fought based off instincts. Someone with good instincts AND a calm mind plus incredible fighting prowess would be aizens worst nightmare. There's a reason he made wonderweiss for Yama.
I like when you make videos shorter cause when they are too long I don't have patience to watch them. I think Kubo may make whoever he wants the strongest character. It's all up to him.
I feel he chose not to fight her because he didn't know what her bankai's ability was. That and she's a master at healing and combat. She already figured him out and fighting her would've ruined everything as it would eventually draw the attention of other capts. Dude never took unnecessary risks, and he viewed fighting her as a risk, which means he thought to himself, "If I'm not careful I could lose to her".
Even if she was under his illusion, Aizen wouldn't be able to kill her immediately because she is a master of Kaidou (Healing Kido) so it could become a drawn out battle. Not to mention she has this intuition that allowed her to notice something wrong with the illusion Aizen...
I figured this. The Aizen Fanboys Always try to argue in The Opposite Direction. Truth be Told, There Were a Few People That Were On Aizen's Level in the Soul Society Arc: Shunsui, Unohana, Gin and Yamamoto, to be Exact. Aizen Isn't Only About Power... He Is Also About Intellect. There is A Reason Why He Also Blocked Kenpachi and Mayuri From Entering The Fake Karakura Town. And It Wasn't To Flex. He Is Cautious Of The Right Characters That Can Back Their Own Shit Up and That Could Fuck His Shit Up, Considerably.
He no-diffs Shunsui simultaneously with Soi-Fon, Hisagi, and Toshiro and denounces them as weak. "Openings. Nothing but openings. You're all weak." Gin himself monolgues about how Kyoka Suigetsu is just the icing on the cake and that Aizen's power is just on another level and beyond preparation. He spent over a century waiting for a chance to kill Aizen but never worked up the courage or found a satisfactory moment of vulnerability. It's unlikely he ever would have made his move if not for Rangiku finally forcing his hand.
@corruptangel6793 the "openings" part of ur comment is important because aizen only says all that when they're DISTRACTED by toshiro charging in. They were also all injured. Kubo hinted a while ago that shunsuis bankai may have the capability to beat aizen in an interview.
@@Blackmustache870 No, Kubo said he let the audience think Shunsui's Bankai could do something, but that wasn't the point of teasing it. The fact that Shunsui would even need Bankai to maybe beat Base Aizen also just reinforces that they aren't on the same level. Rushing over to backup Toshiro doesn't excuse their helplessness and Aizen's disdain for their weakness. It would make sense for Toshiro to be vulnerable, but definitely not Shunsui. The point of Aizen saying that is that is when he stops playing around and just finishes them off. He is proving that he never needed Kyoka Suigetsu to crush them all. That's why Gin monologues about Aizen's power and why them only worrying about Kyoka Suigetsu was foolishly naive of the Gotei 13 as it showed they completely failed to understand why Aizen was so scary.
@corruptangel6793 @corruptangel6793 No, the question literally explains that the person asking believed shunsui could beat aizen if he was serious(bankai). Kubo answers he lets the readers think that. That means shunsuiss bankai wouldn't just do "something" to aizen, but also show AT LEAST relativity to base aizen. There r some bankais that aren't fit for direct 1v1 battle. Its not a stretch to assume aizens might be the same way. Personality based issues that wouldnt occur in a 1v1. How does that correlate to aizen agaisnt shunsui 1v1? Shunsui and the others are literally seen yelling at toshiro before aizen cut them down. How was he not off guard?
>Byakuya, Mayuri, Kenpachi >all fed by Kubo preference, plot armor, convenient powers or a mix of them >Unohana >simply too busted to lose as your video explains Ergo sent to HM conveniently. Kubo knows his own bullshit and what he's doing.
It really shows just how much of gap there is between captains like Toshiro (pre adult) and Komamura, whom Aizen effortlessly defeated and Unohana. Even with Kyoka Suigetsu in tow, she would still pose a significant challenge to him.
Adult Toshiro is the same as kid version. The amount of spiritual pressure doesn't change. That's why Shunsui said Toshiro still needs 100 years of more training.
@@TheBigExclusive Shunsui doesnt know about adult Toshiro. He is not the same as his kid version, as he cannot use his full bankai if he is a kid, he needs to mature. His reaitsu doesnt change? Prove that? Like, everything you say is typically BS.
@@-------....___ - Because Toshiro himself said he couldn't use his Bankai when Commander Yamamoto activated his own Fire Bankai nearby. Which means Toshiro is weaker than Captain Commander Level. And also, Quincies were able to steal and examine Toshiro's Bankai using the Bankai stealing medallion. Cang Du was able to steal Toshiro's Bankai. Which means Toshiro is about on equal footing with mid-level Sternritters. Like Yhwach said, Quincies can't steal and use Bankai if they are weaker than their opponent.
@@TheBigExclusive Just fan fiction. Adult Toshiro has nothing to do with Yama bankai - that was only the kid Toshiro. If Toshiro is already in bankai adult form, Yama bankai won't affect him. And there is even chance that adult Toshiro can beat Yama flames. Toshiro is generally weaker than Yama, yes, but what does that have anything to do with this? Quincies used the weaker bankai. Like Komomaru, they can steal his bankai, but not his ultimate ability. Is this hard? Why do you jump to other topics?
@@TheBigExclusive I am still waiting for proof: 1. Adult Toshiro has the same reiatsu, even when Toshiro says he needed to mature, be more powerful to release his true bankai. 2. Shunsui knew about adult Toshiro, and when he said 100 years, he included that.
I think the difference is that Unohana doesn't have anything near as powerful as Yama's Ennetsu Jigoku to put Aizen down in one blast, but I do think she would feasibly try the same maneuver as the old man. They're both first generation Captains with comparable battle experience.
@@Saiho-a-GoGothat's not how his ability works. He can't make her think she used her abilities but she didn't. He doesn't control people's bodies or abilities just what they see and feel on a surface level. Now he would beat her. But if his first attack doesn't about kill her she could get some licks in. That's why he said a fight with her would drain him aka it would be effort.
My guess is Azien was aware that it was a risk of having to fight Yama and didnt want to waste strength fighting unnecessary fights. Realistically if he had to fight Yama, nobody was going to jump in the fight do he would only have to worry about beating and/or escaping Yama
Except her bonkai is an area effect and almost an instant kill. If it wasn't for her keeping Kenny alive he would had been killed by her acidblood field before she even delivered a blow
Her bankai doenst have acid blood. It was a metaphor, shown how zaraki and unohana could still move their bones without having any visible nerves or muscles.
@Blackmustache870 im not so sure about that because wasn't it from the inverse of what her shikai did. That spirit of hers drew out and heal the bodies of those it kept in it's mouth. When she activates bonkai all the things her shikai absorbed from healing spills out into an area effect? Might not be acidity blood but certainly is acidic in nature. I could be wrong but that's what I gathered.
@BlitzOverride if it's based on tge creature, its possible that the stomach acid of her shikai can heal, but her bankai is just tge blood from that creature that unohana can freely manipulate.
@@Blackmustache870 No it wasnt a metaphor. They were moving their bones because unohana was healing and resurrecting him the moment she killed him. A bankai and shikai cant have different abilities.
@Incognito-jl3jk 1. At the time the bones were moving, they didn't have muscles and nerves. Unohana can heal and they'll move AFTER the muscles and nerves r repaired, but there's no logical way bones can move without nerves or muscles. 2. Zaraki still follows basic anatomy as we see in him being paralyzed from mayuris zanpakto. 3. They aren't different. By ur logic, the bankai should heal too right??? If we use the logic that the bankai is just weapon iced blood from the shikai CREATURE, than it's still the same concept.
Notice how Kubo never said who would win haha. It really depends on how smart Aizen fights... if he underestimates Unohana or fights arrogantly like he normally does he would lose. So in character I think he loses tbh, cause this is the same Aizen that was toying with Yamamoto as if Yamamoto would not smoke him if he made one false move. Aizen would have to be careful how he engages her or he would get completely smoked. He really can't attack her with his sword directly at all, or he is asking to get wrecked. She can tank anything in his arsenal, and if he is next to her after she feels his zanpakuto pierce her then she will grab him and unleash hell onto him and then the fight would probabaly end right then and there lmfao. I know it says he has higher mobility, but there is no way that is true based on feats. If she grabs him it is over. He would have to beat her with Kido... which is possible but it would take way too long and reinforcements would arrive long before he could kill her. Aizen really only stands a chance and has an advantage because of the hypnosis... in terms of base stats he gets cooked.
aizen just thought his strength would‘ve been drained, he doesn‘t say that aizen would‘ve lost. a lot of people are using this to overhype unohana a lot. sure, unohana would‘ve tried the same thing that yama did in fkt/kenny did to tosen - letting herself be stabbed so she can find out where aizen is, however that begs the question: would aizen really bother to go hand to hand vs unohana? since he didn‘t have time to waste, i think it‘s dumb to assume that aizen wouldn‘t have just used kurohitsugi or another high lvl hado to incapacitate her. aizen refused to fight her because the fight would “drain him” or “exhaust him” might also just refer to the fact that him being forced to fight unohana would mean that he’d have to use a high level hado, which would’ve exhausted him. i genuinely don’t see a fight to death under those circumstances going any way but: unohana is under kyoka suigetsu -> she attacks aizen -> it’s just an illusion -> gets hit by kurohitsugi (or goryutenmetsu if aizen would’ve been willing to use it that soon) -> unohana is down/aizen is drained -> aizen kills the incapacitatetd unohana.
ding-ding-ding we got a mf'ing winner here! now if only these delusional fanboys could get this into their heads. sadly their heads are too full of imaginary feats for Unohana that don't exist in the canon of the story so there's no room for actual facts to fit in there 😔
For me , it was said that Aizen will be exhausted when he fight unohana. Unohana said that to prolong her battle, she master healing kido. So it is a battle between Aizen illusion and high reatsu vs Unohana's master swordsman skill and unlimited healing or reviving her body. It becomes a battle of perseverance.
He would've known her history, but i doubt hed be able to handle her infinite regeneration bankai. After his fusion he blank wins but unohana has kido mastery and is the og infantry division leader. She womps him, hes a child compared to her(before fusion) the smartest thing he did was flee her lmao
Just said the same thing. Pre fusion no F'in way 😂 Aizen would not be able to beat the Kenpachi that she trained and deleted multiple times. She also didn't have to die, she chose to die to leave a lasting impression on Kenpachi. Not sure why though she should have just stayed alive. No real reason to throw her life away for the story. She essentially can heal herself infinitely as long as she has spirit pressure so yea, no way that Aizen would be able to do jack to her.
@Delimon007 exactly but Aizen glazers will say he outmatches a legit warrior with his smoke and mirrors and magic spells which she (pre fusion) beats him in. Like be so serious. He'd go to cut her once and she's snap his sword and his neck. Her mayuri and zaraki were the people he actively avoided for a reason. Plus even if she was starting to lose in that encounter, others would sense her going ballistic and come to her aid
@HorizonTide the answer literally says aizen doesn't think he'll lose. It will be hard to kill her, but there r parts of the body that can just end her.
Aizen scores at 560 and Unohana scores at 540. relatively close battle here. it would definitely boil down to strategy. could his hypnosis withstand her healing or vice versa. would love to see it
Honestly, I don't take those numbers as who would win overall, but simply JUST their specific stats. 1. Tge numbers r more to represent tiers instead of power levels, so unohana being only 20 less wouldn't exactly mean she barely loses just because of that. Aizen has the same score as yama but admitted he would lose. Same with zaraki and tosen. 2. For the characters who have a 100 in anything, its not an accurate representation of their strength, because they're forced to tie with the stats of other 100s that they may very well be better at, since the max the chart goes IS 100. Example: aizen is def smarter than yammammoto but both have a 100. 3. The databooks stats leaves out important factors useful for battle like attack speed, skill, spiritual pressure, and hax etc.
Aizen is a smart guy he knows that until he is not connecting with hogyoku he should not fight monsters like Unohana . But I believe he would win against Unohana but it will weaken him .
She saw his sword release therefore she can fall under his shikai ability. Furthermore, his bankai is probably even more devastating so I would pick him to win.
If Aizen fought unohana here. Aizen wouldn't be able to escape SS. Surely Aizen could win with all of his strength and illusion but he won't be able to kill unohana in bankai. So avoiding Unohana was in his best interest.
I assumed we knew he was worried about her just based on her being locked into hecco Mondo ? Wasn't the how point of him doing that was to delay everyone he saw as an issue, namely unohana, zaraki, Byakuya and Ichigo .
not really aizen knew the captains would show up but which one was impossible to know or how many shunsui and yama alone are far bigger threat then zaraki or byakuya if he really wanted to he would try to lock them in huecco mondo as well
@@frigozika4372 Zaraki was a Yhwach war potential so no, he was a much a bigger threat infact even Shunsui as head captain knew they needed him. That Gremmy meteor couldnt have been stopped by anyone else available also who else couldve survived in the vacuum of space and cut through Reality itself? no one. (aizen locking zaraki is in the novels, because no one knows what hes capable of) The reason why zaraki was locked in Hueco mundo was because he went there not because Aizen can just send people there and lock them up. Yamamoto and the others didnt go there thats why they were available. He defeated Shunsui with an army of other shinigamis easily and Stark alone was forcing Shunsui to use his Bankai, Shunsui is no threat to Aizen. Gin was monologing about how Aizen is overwhelmingly strong all that time as himself not just Kyoka Suigetsu. @@frigozika4372 The reason people feared Zaraki is because no one knew when and how he would just hulk out thats why he was feared by Central 46, AIzen then Yhwach. its not about his current state, its the subtext. Kubo said Aizen was "Certain" that a battle with Unohana would "Greatly" drain Captain Aizen. Captain Aizen is still the same person that humiliated the entire Gotei 13, vizards included. The Hogyouku actually needed time to begin working, he says this himself so no it wouldnt have helped. However Aizen avoided Unohana twice, back in SS arc and later in Fkt. Its also worded in hesitence and not his usual confidence, so yes Aizen couldve won but it wouldve been the toughest fight hes ever had thus far, making Unohana top 3 Gotei 13 captain.
Aizen can win against Unohana but he didn’t wanna anger Yamamoto. Unohana is one of the founder of Gotei 13. So she is a close comrade in arms to Yamamoto. To kill Unohana is to officially admit his crimes.
mobility means how fast they are right? defence? such as ability to protect self and ability not to be killed right? so unohana should be 100 in both, remember zaraki cant kill her. the only reason she die because she chose to.
How do u know zaraki can't kill her? Saying her letting zaraki kill her is equivalent to her not being able to be killed while on guard is like saying starrk is tge strongets just because he held back. Unohana never rlly showed high mobility. Her attack speed is fast, but not movement speed.
Im sorry but without the Hogyoku Aizen would loose against Unohana. Kubo didnt say Aizen would win, he said he believed he wouldnt lose it would just take all his strength to beat her. Attack power even, Intellect even, Kido/ Spiritual Pressure even, and more stamina. Did you forget that she can heal herself during battle not to mention her Bankai. OG Kenpachi OG Gotei 13
Despite his Klub Outside forum literally being designed for this sort of thing, Kubo has never liked giving serious answers to questions about that which has not been revealed, and I've learnt not to just accept his word as Gospel. One thing the Bleach databooks have to be taken as is just a rough estimate of their power. While they talk about each character's fundamentals, they don't exactly go into depth about how certain intangibles and unique attributes of each Soul Reaper Captain might counteract one another. Unohana's Bankai would strip Aizen clean of his flesh before. Combine that with the fact they explicitly talk about Aizen prior to the Hogykoku, where his abilities-already impressive-were not enough to beat Kenpachi or Yamamoto in his eyes. Hence, he and Yhwach both classed Kenny as one of the Soul Society's "Special Threats." Meanwhile, Yamamoto didn't make the cut with the Wandenreich due to his mellowing out. He, nonetheless, likely knew of how powerful Unohana was when he trapped her, Byakuya and Mayuri in Hueco Mundo, and if the Wandenreich seriously felt as though she lost her game for having forgone her title as the First Kenpachi, that's on them. He literally worked alongside these guys, so he knows them better than Quincies ever could. Overall, Unohana vs pre-Hogyoku would have likely been an epic clash and hard-fought victory for the First Kenpachi.
Kubo doesn't answer things that haven't been revealed, so that means what he does answer, likely is reliable extra info that won't be relevant or revealed later on in the series. I mean why would unohana compared to base aizen matter if aizen has the hokyoku now? The acid blood was a metaphor not an actual part of her bankai. U can tell because zarakis arms and unohana r still moving with no visible muscles.
Kubo has always emphasized that Yamamoto>Aizen>Unohana when it came to combat ability of gotei 13 captains. These captains are closer to each other in strength than they are to other captains.
Considering unohana's standing amongst the captains, i think yamamoto sensing her fighting aizen out of the blue would put too much unnecessary heat on aizen too
this. bc he knows Unohana chose to not battle unnecessarily. so sensing that would have him grow very curious and would go to her immediately. putting aizen in a even further disadvantage. Aizen played it smart here otherwise he probably wouldn't have succeeded
Its literally said in the answer that aizen didn't think he would lose, but it would just be difficult. How strong unohana is or how difficult it is, would be pointless in a war if she just can't beat aizem in the end, which follows what unohana says.
Unohana will do the same thing Yama did. Let herself get stabbed, grab Aizen's sword, and hit Aizen. Then heal herself. Aizen wins a battle of attrition...eventuslly. But Aizen would be drained by the effort like Kubo said. She can't kill him, but she can definitely injure him. But that's pointless in a war. In war, Aizen will have people guarding him and worst case scenario he will retreat and use his soldiers to protect him (not that Aizen needs protection)

I think at that time Aizen hasn’t got the Hyogoku’s power yet. He was very strong, smart and also because of his shikai. Unohana easily killed Zaraki many many times and that Zaraki had probably won most of his fights and considered very strong. I think Unohana would have lost due to the effects of Aizen’s shikai but her fighter and killer instinct would make her a very tough opponent for Aizen at the time.
She wouldn't have lost its the timing she can heal and kill then heal u everyone would have been in danger which she was only there to heal Azien also didn't know she was the 1st kenpachi if he did he wouldn't have let her in karakura town only 2 people knew kenpachi and Yamamoto, which is why even Azien as smart as he is got fooled by her remember its timing she's the strongest shinigami in bleach, bleach readers tend to have this hard on delusion for their favs being the strongest when the story says she is, and kubo wrote it like this for a reason most characters need some to be powerful like a hoguyoku for azien,, or zonpokto like Yamamoto but pure fighting Unohana takes the Cake, and plus minazuki is one of the most dangerous bonkai's there that most people still to this day dosen't know what it can full do🤦🏾♂️

I think Unohana can be pretty easily scaled to Kenpachi after his training with her (after which he clearly became stronger but this is a very good baseline). Just think, could that Aizen deal with the nonsense that is THAT Kenpachi unscathed? Probably not. Now just think that it's that Kenpachi with practically infinite heals. Yea, that doesn't sound like something I would want to fight would you?
I don't think she scales to post muken base zaraki. If the fight went on, with zaraki moving around more, he would've blitzed her, shown in her getting blitzed by a more suppressed zaraki.
@@Blackmustache870 No because Base unohana had been killing and healing him hundreds of times using up her own reatsu in the process, she was getting weaker and slower in the process even if by a little margin and we know using Bankai is Exhausting. Aizen would be fighting Unohana with all of her Reserves intact with no interest in healing him so yes shes definately at Zarakis level and though roughly below her, In Minazuki shes easily immortal, the battlefield is her blade and is coming at you nonstop, shes also faster and stronger based on her thrwing zaraki around. Even a thousand years ago Unohana scarred Kid zaraki and it can be argued she didnt use Bankai then either as we didnt see it and in Muken zaraki was surprised to see Minazuki, zaraki also calls out Unohana for using cheap tricks which he didnt 1000 years ago but unohana says she just had no time to use them back then. In my Opinion Aizen can possibly defeat Unohana but will be the toughest battle hes ever had atleast to that point so he avoided it. On the other hand he basically cleared up the rest of the captains and vizards bar Old man yama.
@maliknmalikah5637 it is unknown if the rieatsu unohana heals from zaraki is linear to the rieatsu she uses up to do so. Like all abilities in bleach, rieatsu is a factor yes, but the abilities also have their own properties. All we know about it is that it CAN restore rieatsu, which could just be a natural property of it, not unohana using up the same amount of rieatsu to replace zarakis. Even back then, unohana states the relentlessness of zaraki is what made unohana unable to use cheap tricks. We see that same relentlessness when zaraki charges at unohana and blitzing her. And since then, zaraki has only suffered more near death experiences(near death experiences stated by kisuke r seen to be a better form of growth than actual training, so in addition with zaraki getting rid of his mental restrictions, each near death experience made his true strength stronger than when he was a kid as well), and gained more battle experience. Even if u argue unohana didn't use bankai, zaraki is currently far stronger now than when he was a kid, even in base.
@@Blackmustache870 its widely known using Kido means using up reatsu is that something you are saying isnt true? because i never said its linear to zarakis reserves, i said she was using her reatsu to both fight and heal her combatant meaning greatly depleting hers while restoring Zaraki to his former glory. Thats superbly different than limiting all of her reatsu to just kill, do you get that point? Far stronger now than what he was as kid in Base imo is false as the whole point was to get her back to where she found him which she does, battle experience wise i agree but so does Unohana as she hadnt even fought the quincies yet back then and we see her make the 1st move in the Quincy invasion flash back. No time wasting just blood thirst massacre. Basically when Unohana said "Minazuki" she had already greatly deplet her Reatsu reserves and even then she was still swinging zaraki around like a kid. We also know Bankais heavily exhast shinigamis so stack that up with a depletion of reatsu prior to the bankai to get my point. When zaraki finally strikes her, she shuts down her Bankai to not heal and finally go to hell to atone for her sins.
I wonder why Unohana wasn't considered a war potential? I know it would hint massively to her past, but was that the only reason why? I guess one could argue that she wasn't considered because of Zaraki.
Still she was the head healer? And she Molly wopped the Quincy last time around. So it doesn't make sense why she wouldn't be a target. Unless it was to keep her secret a little longer @@sumiokodai1652

Aizen was a lying anamoly all this time and Yamamoto was the Head captain commander so the kenpachi title was still unohanas as she was the strongest among her fellow captains.
Unohana in that conversation said that ichigo with less than half of his rieatsu was relative to her own OUT LOUD, but when he internally monologuing to herself, she changes it to "a captain". And Unohana is basically Tsunade + Deadpool
Even Aizen doesn't want to face Zaraki before he gained immortal body from Hogyoku, ofc Aizen without Hogyoku don't stand a chance against Unohana which is way stronger than Zaraki at that time
Kubo's answer only shows Aizen's confidence maybe because he doesn't know how scary she is, but aware of her at the same time
Unohana possibly letting the beast reemerge early against Aizen would've been quite something. Aizen just moving to Sogyoku makes sense for a timing and plan oriented person like him. Her deduction shows just what a detective she was, no one suspects their own.
She does not trust anyone. She is cold and brutal.

In many instances, Aizen could have do much better without weird plans.

Aizen was scared of Unohana. Kubo could’ve worded it that way and said the exact same thing. Thinking you can beat someone and knowing you will are two entirely different things. Aizen had neither the time nor the inclination to find out.
Delusional
Hugest exaggeration over another mans words that ive ever seen
He was not afraid of her but knew that if he fought her there then he would have to use all of his power to defeat her and get exhausted himself
He just acknowledged her strength and knew that forcibly picking such a hard battle at that moment wasn't worth it nor necessary
To say he was scared is a HUGE overstatement

Aizen said he knew Gin wanted to kill him, so he would definitely be factoring that very scenario into his decision
And that's how you explain things. No 'theories', no 'maybes', no 'delusions of grandeur' Thank you Simo san!
It makes a lot of sense. Even if he fought her as she chose to get serious, he wouldn’t be able to one shot her. Not only would that battle have gotten bloody real quick, but also the commotion would’ve brought the other captains over, and that would’ve further caused the issues for Aizen.
So Aizen Chose to Avoid Fighting Unohana Yachiru because mommy would drain him to much but he would win.
Dude never took unnecessary risks, and he viewed fighting her as a risk, which means he thought to himself, "If I'm not careful I could lose to her".
lol yeah I’d say writing logistics, l this is prolly a good answer.
You're all weak."
Gin himself monolgues about how Kyoka Suigetsu is just the icing on the cake and that Aizen's power is just on another level and beyond preparation.

Ergo sent to HM conveniently.
@@TheBigExclusive I am still waiting for proof:
1. Adult Toshiro has the same reiatsu, even when Toshiro says he needed to mature, be more powerful to release his true bankai.
2. Shunsui knew about adult Toshiro, and when he said 100 years, he included that.
Aizen stabs her, she holds the sword, heals. continues to fight while no longer under the shikai
@@miseteo bingo
Or Aizen still kills her with high diff lmao
I think the difference is that Unohana doesn't have anything near as powerful as Yama's Ennetsu Jigoku to put Aizen down in one blast, but I do think she would feasibly try the same maneuver as the old man. They're both first generation Captains with comparable battle experience.
...or Aizen uses KS and makes her think that she's healing while he spams her with high level Kido until she dies...BINGO!
And people still think Shunsui mid diffs her 🤡
Aizen's plan for fighting Unohana, fast-travel
OMG this is so good!
Unohana has incredible endurance
Aizen really only stands a chance and has an advantage because of the hypnosis... in terms of base stats he gets cooked.
aizen just thought his strength would‘ve been drained, he doesn‘t say that aizen would‘ve lost. a lot of people are using this to overhype unohana a lot. sure, unohana would‘ve tried the same thing that yama did in fkt/kenny did to tosen - letting herself be stabbed so she can find out where aizen is, however that begs the question: would aizen really bother to go hand to hand vs unohana? since he didn‘t have time to waste, i think it‘s dumb to assume that aizen wouldn‘t have just used kurohitsugi or another high lvl hado to incapacitate her. aizen refused to fight her because the fight would “drain him” or “exhaust him” might also just refer to the fact that him being forced to fight unohana would mean that he’d have to use a high level hado, which would’ve exhausted him.
i genuinely don’t see a fight to death under those circumstances going any way but: unohana is under kyoka suigetsu -> she attacks aizen -> it’s just an illusion -> gets hit by kurohitsugi (or goryutenmetsu if aizen would’ve been willing to use it that soon) -> unohana is down/aizen is drained -> aizen kills the incapacitatetd unohana.
ding-ding-ding we got a mf'ing winner here! now if only these delusional fanboys could get this into their heads. sadly their heads are too full of imaginary feats for Unohana that don't exist in the canon of the story so there's no room for actual facts to fit in there 😔
I always knew this ! Love these comments BTW lol
@Blackmustache870 he didnt think he'd loose to Ichigo or Urahara either but here we are
@HorizonTide it's stated aizen had a huge ego post hokyoku evolution so that doesn't rlly apply to here.
Absolutely fair
She saw his sword release therefore she can fall under his shikai ability. Furthermore, his bankai is probably even more devastating so I would pick him to win.
She is good with bakuda. At least that's what I saw in Reigai invasion arc.
She is good with kaido
But she has zero feat with hado and bakudo
@hanzgolden I thought I saw her use bakuda during the reigai invasion

That Gremmy meteor couldnt have been stopped by anyone else available also who else couldve survived in the vacuum of space and cut through Reality itself? no one. (aizen locking zaraki is in the novels, because no one knows what hes capable of)
The reason why zaraki was locked in Hueco mundo was because he went there not because Aizen can just send people there and lock them up.

I would love to see unohana vs Yamamoto both going all out.
The last combat with zaraki it was clearly she sacrificed her life for awakening zaraki's true ability, so saaaaaadd😡😤😢😭😭😭
Aizen could prolly win but he knows he’s not leaving that battle unscathed.
Delusional
Unohana fans will always be the most delusional and dishonest fanbase ever. you guys are going for a world record, huh?
Exhausted? I'm a fight, right? 😂
Kubo has always emphasized that Yamamoto>Aizen>Unohana when it came to combat ability of gotei 13 captains. These captains are closer to each other in strength than they are to other captains.
He didnt really had the time to fight her at the moment and she was needed for the plot with zaraki later hence why she wasnt killed.
Basically the same as asking Ichigo to fight Kenpachi again. Can he win? Sure. Does anyone want to fight Kenpachi a second time? NO.
That's why Ichigo kept running away from him 😂 Who wants to fight THAT!
I wanted aizen to fight everyone in the gotei before he left to hueco mondo that would of been cool because aizen is cool
Didn't Unohana admit to Ichigo that he is "the only one who stands a chance against Aizen"? She basically admits that she can't beat Aizen.
That was after Aizen fused, not before.
@@Delimon007 Yeah, but she doesnt know he has fused, or if he is stronger than when she saw him. You guys are grasping at straws.

At the end of the day aizen fought the strongest of the 3 that posed a serious threat to him at the time and that is being Yamamoto 🤷♂️,I don’t know why you dolts think he wouldn’t fck up unohana or kenpachi who were weaker than Yamamoto, dude legit just wanted the easy way to the soul king throne that’s it,y’all forget Yamamotos intelligence stat is maxed out.
Aizen has never shown his bankai
Kubo seems like he just makes things up as he goes/writes, so I don’t think too deeply about the lore logic. It’s on par with dragon ball z, tbh
Most of his answers have made sense, tho. I think the only answer he's made that needs more elaboration was the espada aspects of deaths.
Coz she doesn't bring anything that the Wandenreich didn't expect.
Still she was the head healer? And she Molly wopped the Quincy last time around. So it doesn't make sense why she wouldn't be a target. Unless it was to keep her secret a little longer @@sumiokodai1652
Probably mostly just a plot hole but also because they know what she's capable of. She was definitely powerful but I don't think she would have been a match for Yhwach.
@Delimon007 I don't think she could've matched Yhwach fr, but most of the sterritter would be chump change to her. Barring like Lille and Gerard.
Because she is weak. Zaraki without shikai and bankai beats her easily, just like he did when he was a kid, so why would they have her as a war potential? What has she done in the whole of Bleach? Nothing. Nothing in the Arrancar arc either.
This is really interesting but couldn't he use KS on her?
She could grab his sword immediately and possibly kill him
@@millionshadesofdarkness2165that’s stupid she’s already under it
@@millionshadesofdarkness2165she was already under his spell. He had to deactivate Kyoka Suigetsu just to show that the corpse she spent the entire arc studying was just an illusion.
@@corruptangel6793 - Aizen CAN'T one-shot Unohana. He doesn't have the spiritual pressure to do it. Plus she's a medic.
He's just really, really strong Captain with illusions at this point in the story. No regeneration powers.
Once Unohana realizes Aizen uses Illusions, then she'll quickly understand. Unohana will do the same thing Yama did. Let herself get stabbed, grab Aizen's sword, and hit Aizen. Then heal herself.
Maybe Aizen wins a battle of attrition. But he would be drained by the effort like Kubo said.
@@TheBigExclusive He absolutely has the spiritual pressure to one-shot someone who doesn't even know they're under attack
Being a medic doesn't mean anything if you don't know you're injured.
Aizen had to tell her AND show her he uses illusions. We saw that she couldn't see through them. She spent almost the entire arc studying a corpse and thought it was a gigai only for Aizen to reveal to her that it never actually existed at all. She is just as helpless against Kyoka Suigetsu as everyone else
You don't need a battle of attrition when you can control the enemy's 5 senses.
There was no reason to attack her so he didnt lol. Its exactly why he didnt fight kenpachi.
6:13 Chinpo...?
I’m not saying Kubo is wrong I just don’t see it she has little information on his KS and his Kido is on her level aswell.
And she already under his KS by this point so what can Unohana do honestly any attack she make’s probably isn’t even Aizen he could literally have her Stab Isane.
If Aizen wants to fight her like he did with Urahara and isshin then sure he’s in trouble but is he really that dumb.
No way her mobility is 70
Unohana is also very very old
So it's waste a lot of time. If he attacks her, it might ruin the entire plan because Rukia could be executed along with Hogyoku and Ichigo being destroyed by Yamamoto or Mayuri for Hogyoku.
Renji was carrying rukia, yammammoto was occupied with jushiro and shunsui, and mayuri hasn't shown he cares abt the hokyoku that much
@@Blackmustache870
1. Yamamoto could dealt with these two easily and went back to the hill
2. Some lieutenant and captains such as Komamura will chase Renji, if they failed Yamamoto still has to do it himself later on
3. Mayuri won't destroy it, maybe yes but he could do some research on the Hogyoku or a new set of Central 46 will order to seal it away
And all of Aizen plans will failed or being delayed
@ปลาทองอยู่ในน้ํา 1. Yet he didn't
2. Kommommura was occupied with zaraki and I doubt a random captain can carry out with the execution without a higher power like the head captain involved.
3. How does that matter? Nobody knew it was in rukia to begin with.
@@Blackmustache870
1. Might be arguable but he definitely can, we just don't know how long it will take three of them back to Sokyoku hill
2. IF they failed, he could do it himself.
3. They will examine and likely found it
@ปลาทองอยู่ในน้ํา everything u said could easily estimated to occur within the span of longer than an hour or a couple of seconds. By that logic, why would he take the time to provoke hitsugaya if he was that paranoid abt it?
Maybe unohana's time on royal palace with zero squad gave her resistance to Aizen's hypnosis?
no such thing exists
Again, new proof if needed that Kubo doesnt really think about his answers and just respond with the first thing to come to his mind, which is sad.
If Unohana was that strong compared to him, then power scaling is even more of a mess than it was before
And ffs shes in KS illusion and doesnt even know about KS at that point... there would be no fight, shell just die in 3sec without knowing what happened
She's not stronger than him. It would just take more effort to deal with her
@sumiokodai1652 never said she was stronger than him
Because Unohana will do the same thing Yama did. Let herself get stabbed, grab Aizen's sword, and hit Aizen. Then heal herself.
And this version of Aizen is much weaker. He doesn't have the Hyogoku attached. So he has no regeneration powers.
@@TheBigExclusive we dont know if shes strong enough to do that. But more importantly, Yama knew about KS, he was expecting the attack. Unohana barely know Aizen is an enemy and barely know anything about KS. She wouldnt expect to be striked out of nowhere. Regeneration doesnt mean anything in this "fight" since he cant be striked due to KS
@@tartopomme8946 - Aizen isn't strong enough to One Shot Unohana in a single strike.
And of course she's strong enough. She did exactly that during her fight with Zaraki She was getting stabbed and sliced by Zaraki while healing herself AND Zaraki over and over again.
I'm not saying Aizen wouldn't win. But it would be a battle of attrition. If Aizen wins, then he's going to be drained and very injured after the fight. He doesn't have the Hyogoku to heal him. He has no regeneration powers.
If Unohana was fighting Aizen to kill, which she would be if she went to bankai, Aizen isn’t winning that fight before he obtained Hogyoku. AOE of blood acid doom doesn’t care about illusions. Plus she can regenerate from a skeleton, Aizen would have die to Gin’s poison attack if not for Hogyoku. No way he’s surviving Unohana’s bankai.
Unohana didn't turn into a skeleton literally. It was a figurative metaphor shown in how both characters could still move with no nerves or muscles.
Aizen let gin stab him from the start. Gin never attempted to do it when aizen didn't have the hokyoku because he knew he stood no chance against aizen while he was on guard.
He said, in his Captains test, she grabbed his Zanpakuto and was the only one to do so. Also she has to be a Noble to just walk into Central 46, then use time and Space Kido no Charges
He never said that
When Unohana and Insane confronted him in Central 46
@@nodatastored684 rewatch it, unohana was under kyokasuigetsu that's why she saw aizen fake dead body but with her intellect and medical skills she thought it was fake
@drvidushibeniwal874 what are you discussing. She doesn't need her senses, to grab his blade. Spiritual pressure is not affected. There is no light in Muken, yet she and Zarakis fought there. Also, she would have seen that type of Zanpakuto before and faced it as a Kenpachi. The issue you seem to not be aware of is that Zero squad observed the whole events when Aizen has his Zanpakuto on him, Oetsu can hear everything going on.... And Shutara thru his white robe. Not the dead body, but each person would have seen something different if he was not there to give instructions.
@@nodatastored684false. That was never said. What was shown is that she was affected by the hypnosis, yet SUSPECTED something was off.
Aizen was wrong. He would’ve lost..

Yal don't understand manga writers will reply to stuff like this with whatever they feel is popular amongst the fandom, no different than Akira toriyama claiming kid Buu or Goku ssj2 is the supposed strongest in the buu arc, the fandom bugs these writers I've and over again for this fake closure about something they wish was the case but never was, but they go ahead with what they think would be the more popular answer at a time, he would have given a similar type añswe to any questions involving "avoidance" lol, from what I saw Aizen avoided fighting isane not featless unohana, the one that confirmed half powered ichigo was the same level of spirit power as her lol
She didn't confirmed he was the same level as her, bit the same level of Reaitsu of A CAPTAIN. And as we've seen many times, being Captain doesn't mean all of them ate on the overall same level. Also, Ichigo's having absurd Reiatsu was always his gimmick, but even with that, many would still be able to defeat him before I'ld say Fullbringer arc, mostly through experience
I do agree with what you said first! Just wanted to correct the last statement!
@@vcamv2354 hard Agree, People seem to forget before "Blade is me" ichigo was still a war potential. What unohana said to him changes nothing but only makes it more apparent that him not seeing Aizens shikai was the W con.
Personally it was never in doubt that until Zarakis shackles release, yamamoto and aizen were the only captains stronger than her and when i say strength i mean what strength means in Bleach not fandoms.
This implies she may have been lying which isn't out of character. In ch 154, Unohana lies abt not being strong enough to stop byakuya.
Even assuming Unohana was telling the truth, this ichigo at the time could sense 2nd fusion aizen, so it doenst make Unohana weak if she was serious. Ichigo was only held back by his resolve but he was insanely strong by this point.
