Jason, you impress me more every single time i watch one of your interviews. people that i had no idea who they are, or even artists that i thought i had no interest in have become fascinating because of your interviewing style. you really do your homework and ask questions that other interviewers don't even think of asking. this is another one of those instances. at first i didn't think i was going to hang out for the whole interview, but by the end, i was hoping for more! great job again! if i could request an interview with someone? Blas Elias from Slaughter. i guess he plays in the Blue Man Group now there in Vegas.
Thank you, that is my favorite compliment, I’m glad you like my interviews and hope you keep watching. Btw there is already an interview with Blas on my channel, check it out when you get a chance
That's so cool to learn Steve played the licks on Train Kept A Rollin. Years before I ever got a guitar, this was inspiration. Thanks again, Jason! Love music history. Miss studying album sleeves to know who did what. Even if the record company omitted important factors. Standing in the Shadows of Motown comes to mind. The Wrecking Crew. Lol Another great interview. 🖖
Why didn't you ask them what happen to the live concerts from alice cooper goes to hell 1976 tour and lace & whiskey tour 1977 because there are no live concerts audio or video tapes on youtube. I heard that Dick Wagner got sick also and couldn't tour because there is a 2 year gap missing before Davey Johnstone took over Dick Wagner and how did steve hunter feel about playing with Davey Johnstone for the from the inside tour 1978. Steve Hunter might know why the keyboardist Jozef Chirowski left the group, any reasons why because he was really good player. You also didn't even ask what guitar pedal effects did they use on the welcome to my nightmare tour and other tours that Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner use.
Great interview!! Steve Hunter seems like a good dude who sees the best in people. Anytime that Jason asked about a particular artist Steve would always bring up that person's strong points and talk about why it was great to work with them. Maybe that is why he was so successful as a sideman; he applied his talents to accentuate each artist's strengths. I would really like to know if there are any live recordings of Peter Gabriel with Steve and Robert Fripp on guitar. That had to be an epic meeting of the visceral and the cerebral in rock guitar.
It’s an excellent record. It receives a lot of negativity only because Joe Perry was out of the band. Most people who actually give RIAHP a fair listen likes it better than any of the original band’s 80s or 90s output.
Saw DLR in 91 in Manchester(with Warrant)was it Steve on guitar? With Joe Holmes,my memory of it is sketchy other than DLR on a giant microphone in the crowd,Warrant doing the spin to the knees in Down Boys…and having awful seats way at the back.
I'M PRETTY SURE NODDY HOLDER OF SLADE WORE A TOP HAT EARLIER THAN STEVE HUNTER.. YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT SLADE MAMA WE'RE ALL CRAZY NOW... CRANKED UP LOUD IN A JUKE BOX AT THE WRECK AT CAROLINA BEACH... MID 70'S.. IT REALLY SOUNDED MANIC.. AND IN THE LARGE LOUD OVER PACKED BAR IT SEEMED TO SOUND NUTS... IT WAS GREAT...
Actually jeff Healey lost his sight as a child from cancer. He did have sight first few years of life. Not being a know it all robert f morrow doosh. Just sayin
This is the interview I didn't know I wanted.
Very well said lol
@@WasteSomeTimewithJasonGreen Didn't disappoint. Not widely known, but Dick Wagner was a huge influence on Randy Rhoads.
What great and humble gentleman…👍🏻
Hunter and Wagner are the most underrated guitar team of the 70s.
I still listen to Rock and Roll Animal and i am 70 years old. lol.
Steve Hunter is a legend and he has played on so many albums, much like Steve Lukather. Great interview, Jason!
Thank you! Legend for sure
I listened to the live The Alice Cooper Show album countless times as a teenager. Great guitar playing and interplay throughout that entire album.
I still listen to that album, frequently. I saw them 3 times with Alice.
One of my all-time favorite guitarists. Legend. Great interview, Jason!
Dick Wagner also played lead guitar on “Same Old Song & Dance”.
Love these interviews man
Thanks, I’m glad you like them
Another great interview with another brilliant musician.👍
Jason you are a great interviewer! Steve Hunter is such a well-spoken intelligent guy with a great memory, it was very entertaining
Cool interview! Slade may have been the band he was talking about with the top hat thing. Noddy Holder wore one all the time.

steve was talking about guys in the 60's that wore tophats who's names he doesn't remember. he might be talking about chris youlden from savoy brown.

Yeah, there are a bunch of live concerts, of peter gabrial, and Steve hunter, 1977, on youtube, great stuff!
I was never much of a Lou Reed fan, but on Steve’s recommendation, I’m going to pick up Berlin.
Kind of what I thought
Jimmi Crespo did an incredible job on Rock in a Hard Place
Fact! Didn't realize Jason managed him

@@vistalite agree!! i liked it a lot when it came out. I still play it more than later 80's/90's Aerosmith

How phony Joe Perry and Brad Whitford didn't even play the leads on their own song
Every interview im noticing your voice is way louder than the other person.
Sounds almost like youre yelling ..Needs to be even on both sides please

Yes one years old
Keep interviews coming, I really enjoy them.
