Thanks Robert. These Jazzy Blues lessons that you do are my favourites - really like this style and the way you relate the notes to the chord tones. I always learn something new when I watch these clips 👍
Thanks Robert ,chord tone soloing lessons/training are possibly the most useful lessons to students playing, longterm. Please do more of these, maybe a 'starter' lesson on the Jazz blues chord tones ,mapping out the fretboard with chord tones very useful indeed!
@@Dolphinstreets You are quite welcome! Two thoughts. ( although you might have already done some these topics)how about an instructional video on: 1-Your favorite 6-7 blues turn arounds 2-Blues chording substitutes for standard 1,4,5 1,2,7 5 etc. Appreciate all that you do!
Excellent video. It just earned you a sub. I’ve been playing guitar for years and it’s just now (in my mid 40’s) that I’ve become interested in actually learning the foundations of the guitar. This was excellent
@@Dolphinstreets Hello Robert , I have tried to follow your lesson, take a look to my channel , thank's for your helpful tips ! ruclips.net/video/Cl1_7hk33Ac/видео.html Olivier
Your chops are always so cool. I like the end where you put it all together with a little Renman flair. I have heard this tricky sound with guitars and horn players and it was always a mystery how it all fit together. The Enclosure is fire. Passing tones I'm familiar with, but the two together are like chocolate and peanut butter. Thanks bro!
Thanks for this excellent lesson Robert! Even though I've known about the 2 jazz concepts you demo here I often forget or don't quite know how/when to apply them when improvising. This really helps, plus the way you explain these licks in the context of chord tones is very beneficial! Great sounding new Gibson semi-hollow and cool, new guitar rack and background!
Another great lesson, Robert - thanks. And even though that white strat jumped out of the rack and hovered in mid-air and then disappeared, you didn't even blink! ;)
Love this Robert ! Simply working the chord tones to Conveniently ! This TOTALY Helps walking up the fret-board. Thank You. I sent my Epiphone P93 335 Bigsby in to Sweetwater to FIX it and enjoying my Epiphone 339 Pro till it comes back home in 7-8 weeks. FAN
Great lesson to spice up pentatonic rides, actually rather than playing the descending V and IV, I prefer to play them on the lower register so shifting onto the EAD strings
I am still a little confused on what a passing tone is, is it the note in between two other notes in the scale so like in C major you have C-D-E-F-G-A-B, would a passing tone be the D in between C and E

Cool, thanks!
wow, that's a nice camera. sharp video.
Thanks!
Great lesson Robert. Are there any other lessons on Master Guitar Academy that expand on this concept or provide other examples?
Yes a bit here and there but not a full course on it.
I am still a little confused on what a passing tone is, is it the note in between two other notes in the scale so like in C major you have C-D-E-F-G-A-B, would a passing tone be the D in between
C and E
No, it is a note is NOT in the scale. In the C major scale, examples would be C# or F#.
@@Dolphinstreets I see thank you so much!!!
