l used to ride around this reservoir on a motorcycle all the time..l digress, on my many rides in this area l have often thought what a wasted local amenity it is.. It could be used far more for fishing if better access were made. Also boating...non-powered, except maybe the trolling electric type..Small sail boats.... l understand because this is a flooded area the lake covers trees, buildings and a road etc! However making this beautiful body of water safe is not insurmountable.... it just seems a wasted opportunity to me. Rivers don't seem to have the same problem as regards public usage...
I would imagine with the size of the lake there's some really big carp in there
