Don't underestimate a Marquez bloodline when it comes to achievements especially in pageantry! Melanie Marquez (Michelle's Mom) was Miss International from 1979 and Winwyn Marquez (Michelle's cousin) won Reina Hispanoamericana 2017! With Michelle finishing Top 12 at Miss World in 2019, it goes to show that she still has a very strong chance to win or at least get a place at Miss Universe 2023. She has that very competitive personality without being cocky and that's what an attribute of a queen should be, like her mother and cousin.
