Also a great set up for back-dragging from buildings, loading docks extra. Can't wait to see the videos.
Love watching these I plow and state highways I haul a 18 foot tow plow and a 16 foot snow pusher on front while my buddy’s run salt behind my rig these videos just make me wanna start my 348 peterbilt up and head to the hills keep on pushing man
You have a 16 foot pusher on a 348 Pete? And a brown plow! Link to Facebook or Instagram pictures please!
Really is such a nice plow. You can literally do ANYTHING with it.
This is really sweet!! Looks like a great choice!!
Pretty nice to see a Local product from my province of Canada in your video... We have pretty big winter here and I think you will be a big challenger for your competition :)
Incredible setup man goodluck
can't wait to see it in action!!
Sweet setup can't get much more efficient then that right there it does it all
Thanks!
Nice plow state of the art never seen one like that before! Great video hope it pays off!!!!
Thanks!
I use a Massey ferguson 5455 with a metal pless 10-16 ft works amazing took a bit to get the attack angle right but now scraps right to pavement. The tractor has alittle problems pushing heavy snow with wings out in gravel though.
yeah we have HLA one its great 24foot wide wich we use it as well for a dozer wich it does great in different jobs wich we use it more then snow clearing we use it as a dozer wich cuts the time way less then a bulldozer with small blade :) wich my buddy at kubota sold us the 24foot hla blade for $4,100 because we paid $400,000 on a 400hp case and the kubota sold the blad for it a great deal :)
Good buy. Definitely the best on the market.
We went with the hla snow wing on our loaders. We have a metal ples on a tractor . Great scraping blade. Facing to scrape better than the HLA but the one thing I didn't like was how it doesn't save the tires when you angle it back. It is common sense but when you have new people on stuff sometimes they forget
Nice plow thanks for sharing it
hope you have some extra parts for that thing incase something goes wrong, especially since you got the contractor to just run 2 machines, downtime would cost big time, your a business man though so im sure you took all that into account, good luck, love the loader and plow combination, would be nice if we had those, loaders gonna pay for itself quick huh
Good luck with new setup
Thanks!
You won't be disappointed! I've got 4 of these on Caterpillar 938k and on JD 624k and let me tell you...with employees on the machinery you usually get a lot of maintenance to do...well these are pretty low maintenance! I was kinda skeptic at first but...have my first one since 3 years...bought 2 more last year then another this year!! And the service at Metaless is A-1👍
How do you think it'd work on a 344j
Badass plow!
Nice buy! I'm sure you will like this plow, here in Quebec companies start to understand that these pushers make a really big difference on productivity and salt use as you mentionned.
You will be needing to use your switch a lot when plowing parking lots as you may change the configuration of the blade a couple times every minute, maybe you should try to attach some sort of switch to your joystick so that you don't have to remove your hand from your joystick every time. Here in Quebec we have a few Volvo L120 with 3 levers and we managed to put the switch near enough to be able to touch it without having to move our hands.
Thanks for the comment! I have though about moving the switch. Im going to give it a try and see how it goes!
Time to beat up some snow...hopefully we can see some multi-directional shots in your plow video - I'd be interested to see the head-on with your directional changes in progress.
I will have many videos!
did you look at deslamco plows ? they are something else too ... similar design but much heavier ! we use them at the airport to clean the gate ! one pass those the job the ones here are 30 feet if i remember correctly ! but you can get smaller version of the 30 feet
That thing is amazing. And at 5,000 pounds has enough steel in it to last a while. Love your plowing videos.
Just a couple years ago the Kage Innovations was a slick setup .
You are really raising the bar for your competition.
Good job.
Thanks! Im really impressed with this plow so far.
metalpless maxxpro blades are sister with HLA with these nice size blade wich we useHLA 24ft blade same is this we use it all winter, summer, spring and fall because we use it as a dozer wich works great and time saving
Nice setup, Hope it pays off for you
Thanks, me too!
Fill er up!!! fuel lights on! haha, great video though. cant wait to see the plow in action.
Wow! This is perfect! Do they make a smaller skid steer version?
Yes they do. They make all sizes. Even for trucks
I watched this video literally the day you put it out. And I was saying to myself I hope one day I can afford one of these setups. Two days ago I found myself at a Cat dealer, a couple signatures later and I got myself a '13 924K with the MaxxPro 10 foot.
I've watched all of your videos countless times, literally probably over 10 times a piece... I was hooked. Awesome videos man keep it up!
Thats awesome! Congrats! If you have any questions getting it hooked up let me know. The best way to reach me is messaging me on my Facebook page (link in description)
Definitely gonna be asking you some questions on how to hook it all up. I like the simplicity of your 3-position switch. This comes as the first Metal Pless plow sold by my Cat dealer, so they seemed sort of unsure of the set up. Told them not to worry, got this guy on youtube lol. Anyways I'm getting the plow delivered in August-September I'll be sure to swing by your FB page then! Happy plowing.
Nice!!
Wonder how it will handle pot holes or changes in pavement depth , will the individual scrapers drop down in the hole causing the to bind and fail they look expensive to replace spring Assembly and cutting edge . Would make me nervous with all the moving scraper parts . Like the folding wings , very interested to see at work . Good luck new equipment is exciting to get and use you probably won't sleep till it snows . We've had about 18 inches of snow already and had to move some snow banks also and then it rained .
I used it for the first time this week and if the edges get caught on something they just kick back. I could not be more impressed with it so far.
Thanks for sharing
will it work on a L918F WHEEL LOADER ?
That plow looks pretty cool - I hope it works well for you! It looks like when the wings are folded all the way back, it is possible to angle the blade and hit the tires or lift arms with the wings. Is that something you learn not to do or is there a sensor in the plow that won't allow you to do that?
Good eye. Yes you can hit the tires but not the loader arms. I will be the only one operating this so Im not too worried
if you're really worried, they have a $300 "tire guard" option.
Not an operator, or a mechanic, but love your vids. Just curious, after stacking snow etc. does return to dig feature properly reposition the blade again for scraping?? Is there any situation where you would alter the angle of the blade while scraping/plowing?
Yes it works really well with the return to dig. No you dont really ever need to change the angle once you figure it out.
At 9:42 where you pull it back, if you were accidentally to tilt the whole plow to the right or left, would the wings compensate (open up/forward) so it will not damage the front tires?
Thanks for the vid tho...
Wow!
Couldn't have choose a better setup!!! Our 10-16 plowmaxxx is the most efficient plow ever!!! Looking forward to plowing vids! Let it Snow!!
Good to hear! Ive used it already on a small 2 in storm. Im in love! lol
Dirt Ninja do you plan attending the next SIMA show in Montreal?
Possibly, Depends on what I have going on at the time
stark snow plow is the best
check out tellefsdal plowing equipment.
THE BEST PLOW
Nice purchase. I also saw that at sima this summer, I don't do anything that big yet but that plow does have it all and seems over built(never a bad thing in snow removal) what's the weight on that plow?? Looking forward to install video love to see how others set stuff up.
It weighs 5000lbs. She is heavy!
+Dirt Ninja yeah that plows no joke. Best of luck with it!
Can't wait to see it in action
#TIACREW
Did you buy that from Outdoor Pride in Manchester? Thought I saw it there on Instagram.
No, this is mine, new. I had it there because they were helping me install it. They have one. I am a sub for them this winter.
Can I use that on residential driveways ?
Best snow pusher on the market is artic they have sections that trip so if you hit a curb it trips up
This blade is about 100 times better than an arctic. Every single piece on this trips up... did you watch the video? Each 2ft "live edge" section trips and the bottom of the wings trip as well.
I would trade all my actic pushers for a couple of these anyday.
Arctic =rubber
Metal pless= METAL!
No comparison.
no vplow ?
at work we got 3 loaders with snow buckets on them, plus like 5 more snow buckets laying around them ... that normal ?
V plows dont do anything when plowing big open parking lots.
I run the same blade only we have a much better set up We have a second stick next to the loader stick push forward pull back fore angle and on the stick there are 2 push buttons for left and right wings hold the left button in push stick forward wing moves forward hold button in pull back wing comes back likewise for right side way faster and you don't need to take your eyes of the blade fiddling for rocker switch
@DirtNinja does it have a tire protection mechanism like HLA does?
$300 option
i bought this for my deere 624k with jostick i love it but not the price 😛and made in quebec 😜
Not sure if this was asked, but can you angle it with the wings all the way back? Kind of looks like the wing that's on the inside of the angle would hit the machine
No it cant. You are correct it will hit the machine tires.
Dirt Ninja Thanks for the response, saw one sitting at my local Deere dealer and really got to see what you meant when you said quality.
What's the price for that set up?
Did you research Horst pushers too?
accully metalpless maxpro are sister with HLA accully
@@michaelmactavish1728 shut up Michael you fuckin shill troll
looks good, not so sure about the switch on the right side and not on the joystick.I guess it will take some getting use too.
Yea, Im going to see how I like it. Might change the location...
buffalostate1 best place for the switch is on the left foot floor!!
You never use that foot in loader,,, maybe sometimes for brake...but
Floor mounted HI-Beam switch from autopartstore. Mounted in legrest👌👌👍
I'm using very similar setup but my controls are all in the joystick. I have video of it. :)
That is a really good idea!
I Wish you could get a plow like this for a truck
you can, metalpless.com/fr/produits/chasse-neige/23/metalpless-pickupmaxx
can your new machine do a 360 like the skid steers can?
Lsatq no
No, it articulates in the center.
Very bad ass..
What are you gonna bill hourly
flat rate
I'm curious to what the price range for this is. I'm guessing around 13-15k?
Not even close. Way higher
What was the price if you don’t mind me asking?
I just got a Quote from them. $40,000 plus 995 shipping.
@@petenisbet7639 i thought it was going to be more haha
40k??? Yeah no thanks
Is it just me or would it be alot more quicker if you didn't have to hit the switch so many times to use the different functions? I'm sure in the future they will figure out a way to do so....maybe a completely separate controller mounted by the stick that's almost similar to a "fish-stick"??
Seems like the weak link to me to. If hes backing up and needing to change all 3 elements hes going to have to fumble about looking for switches with one hand while trying to maneuver.
Also If you're clearing a road with it all angled off to the side and come up to a junction would you not want to close the curb wing and straighten the plow to push the snow past the junction, That would not be quck and easy with 2 switches to fiddle with.
The more I think about it HughzieTube the more I'd like to believe there already is a solution to this simple fix. Dirt Ninja....thoughts?
Perhaps its in the title??
Ninja fast hand movements that allow the dirt master to become one with his plow! lol
I guess we will find out in his videos how he gets on.
He has always been fantastic replying to any questions I've asked him in the past so I'd be very surprised if he didn't chime in before the evening is over....if he's doing what I'm doing he is pre-treating parking lots and commercial accounts to prevent any black ice from forming tonight.
They do make a separate controller. I figured I would try it this way and see how it goes. I got to try it out the other night on a small 2in storm and it wasnt that bad. Once you learn the location of the switch you can do it all with out even looking.
what model is it? I am looking at their website. Extend max?
There is no other way to say this Mr. turdsandwich... did you read the title of the video or the description? lol
ha obv not. How much $ was it?
Sweet set up? What are they paying you an hour?!
Flat rate
How much is this plow
Its a canadian brand
I like it,,,you could build Trumps wall with that toy . !!!
Simplicity is the key for profiting in snow plowing. You may have eliminated the cost of a 3rd machine, but if one of the several complicated mechanisms on that plow breaks you're going to be s.o.l. I doubt this company will come out and repair it at 2am.
I think the design is robust enough (obviously Metalpless is dishing out some serious cash on engineering|, r&d etc) that except for extreme scenarios (accidents) I can's see something failing catastrophically. If one small component fails I'm sure local mechanics or even the owner could do the repair. You could probably even work around the failure for the remainder of the shift. There are a lot of components, but imo each is simple individually. I believe the risk/reward of buying this plow and dropping a loader will definitely pay off for the owner.
As a mechanic, there is just way too much going on. I fear if one section breaks/bends, it would have a ripple effect. and once it is tweaked, it would never be the same.
Dunno if you've heard the news yet, but there will be a huge drought this winter for the NE part of the country. Almost zero snowfall forecast for the entire season. Just sayin ...
Sounds good to me, Im getting a flat rate!
Good thing, cuz I was kidding HAHA, BUT ya never know with the strange weather changes we've been getting. I'm looking forward to seeing the beast in action.
Metalpless always looked flimsey to me, we run HLA 3200's 4200's and our loaders have 5200's best plows you can buy imo.
wow really? flimsy? You must have looked at a different plow than what I have!!!
mainly the wings, check out HLA
put some fuel in that thing
"All about efficiency" Those controls don't look efficient at all..
