As a vet who's been on the end of so many calls from clients whose dogs are having seizures, you guys did SO WELL. You kept calm and kept her safe until she was through the seizure. There are options but there are side effects - you'll know when she's ready for that - 2 years between seizures is a long time so keep on doing what you're doing - she is obviously having a wonderful life. Big hugs.

Charlee was a great dog. Always cuddling and loving. But in the last year hes started getting very aggressive.
He first bit my friend for waking him up. Then bit my girlfriend for getting a tissue. Then bit me for disicpling his sister. Then bit my girls sister for opening the fridge... And most recently attacked me for leaving for work (i reached to pet him and he attacked...)
Im asking in your expert opinion. Do i need to put charlee down or could a good trainer help him? I have a baby on the way... So me and my best friend nesdnes

Hey- so the height of the A-frame and the thickness of the steel means the overall structure will not be structurally safe. Once you add in the internal flooring and beam weight and the weight of the roof sheets, the splaying / displacement of the rafters will overload the bottom plates and could cause the roof to collapse. With a A-frame that high, you really need a structural engineer to look over it and check the weight calculations and probably. That is a very very HIGH a-frame-never seen one that high constructed before.. Plus the height means you will need a LOT of roofing sheets to cover the surface area of the roof which will ad a lot of extra cost to the project. And the effect of wind on the large surface area will also cause huge shear loads during high winds...again possibly causing structural failure.
    Please be careful

Hey Guys, I just found Junglrboy earlier today so I already saw the firse "A" go up and it looks great. I love an A-frame house because it is so efficient. The 2 sides are the roof so you don't have to worry about building walls except on the front and back. I want to see nothing but solar panels on the southern roof and lots of water catchment around the bottom of both sides.
Now the not so happy subject, I hope that Lola is doing better and that you have no more problems with her. It might be a good idea to take her to the vet and have him check her out. If for no other reason than to have peace of mind. I had a dog that I held in my arms overnight knowing that I was going to have to have her put down the next day. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my life. I cried for 3 days solid. We will all be saying prayers for her and all of you. ❤

My dog Bella just began seizures that happen when she is excited, usually barking at something like a squirrel or barking when we come home. Maybe 1 seizure a week. I hesitate to take her to the vet for meds. I don't want to dope her up. She seems fine in between her episodes and recovers fully after a few minutes. I sit with my hands on her with her during the episodes. She seems happy all the time. Lola is a star on your channel. You are taking good care of her!

I am so sorry about Lola having seizures! I have seizures also, and if dogs brains are similar to humans, they can be photosensitive, that is, they can be triggered by flashes of light or trauma. I am pretty sure you have talked to your vet by now. If you haven't, there may be anti- epileptic drugs for dogs. It is scary to experience or witness a seizure, but if you make sure the dog doesn't injure herself, the seizure itself will not kill her. If she is in a precarious situation, where seizing would cause her injury, then try to move her to a place of safety where she will not injure herself! Prayers to her and congrats on getting started on the A frame!

I have an 8 year old Labrador Retriever/ Pit Bull Mix, she has had seizures since she was a puppy, they are so scary for her and me both. I give her a little CBD 20:1 ratio I count about ten to 15 drops everyday in her food. And yes You are doing very well to just be calm and love her a lot during the seizure. I have asked a few Vets, but other than harsher drugs they do not have any real cure for this condition. Sending big Hugs for Lola and the both of You from me and my Sahai.

My heart goes out to you both & to Lola. It's so painful to see a beloved family member go through such trauma. My labrador used to have seizures especially during storms, local fireworks & very windy days. I used homeopathics & tryptophan supplements to help prevent/ reduce seizures. I also started doing all natural herbal flea & worming at well as a B.A.R.F diet. All the best!

Stress-induced seizures are common. If they are infrequent and short (less than 3 mins) and Lola continues breathing thru the event, they are not life-threatening. If Lola ever has a seizure lasting over 5 mins, I would consider taking her to a vet that can give anti-seizure medicine. It feels helpless when she has them I know, but stay calm, wait out the seizure, and know that she will have post-ictal sleepiness and slowness after the event. I work in the field, I test for seizures, and seizures can be scary. If they ever become more frequent or last too long, go ahead and take her to the vet. You guys did the right thing, you did great! Love you guys. Thanks for sharing!

My cat has seizures, since he was 10 weeks old. The vet said to euthanized him, I said no. Pickles is 7 years old now and he is a severe epileptic. Controlled with meds. I found out he was from generations of inbreeding. He had many neuro issues. I did find that CBD is said to be able to help with seizures. Don't know if that is available by you or you can order from Amazon. It is CBD pet treats. the older she gets, the more seizures she may get, this is just information from my personal experience. Prayers and love to you all 🙏💕🙏💕

Sweet Lola. I know that is terrifying. I have several chronic illnesses and pass out a lot and have a lot of seizures . It tore up my family at first but now we know what to do and how long it should take me to come out of them and when to go the ER. Poor Lola I bet yall were scared. It's scary enough going through the seizures myself but when my family describes what they see when I go through an episode,I think its scarier for them to see me like that . I'm sorry. You guys are such great fur baby parents, I know you will be awesome human baby parents!

The VA replaced both of my hips, one at 63 y/o, the other at 69. I needed both replaced at 63 to stay in the workforce. I was forced into retirement at 63 and never went back to work. My 8 years in the Air Force, starting at 19, really proved valuable, later in life when I really needed it. I'm 72 now.

hey guys Love all the videos. An idea for you when you need to join cabanas to make a longer length. In stead of simply welding together 2 of the double pieces, Stagger the 2 original cabanas. This will give you a much stronger join. You could also simply keep adding staggered pieces and then cut to the length you require. Then weld more to the left over piece. It will cut down on waste.

Our dog had very similar seizures, quite a bit more frequent then Lola. We would anyways do the same thing, comfort and calm her. Our dog lived to be almost 16 years old.... As best we could tell, the seizures never really affected her health. It's really tough in the moment though..... Keep showing Lola all your love.

Hi Kaylee and Jordan. Have you heard about the Thundershirts for dogs? If loud noises like Thunder are the trigger and I know that is a common occurrence where you are, that might be something you can put on her when thunder starts. Just an idea. My black lab hated thunder and it seemed to work well with him. Take care!

Poor Lola! I know your fear, our Doberman Khan would on occasion have a similar problem. It was very sporadic and we never did find a root cause or solution. Our vet called them "idiopathic head tremors". Khanzo never was hurt long term by them and always came back 100% afterwards. We also found that if he was "with it" enough, if we had him lick a spoon of peanut butter it would snap him out of it sooner. I hope that little Lola's problems are just as passing and simple as Khan's. You're doing the right thing, stay with her and give her love, support & comfort her. She's lucky to have good people.

When I was young (13), I had a rat terrier/toy manchester that would have seizures. Not many, just about like Lola. They were diagnosed as epilepsy. Unfortunately she was omly 3 when she was hit by a truck and didn't make it. Her epilepsy acted almost like Lola's and just like human epilepsy. Many people just freak out if they see someone having an epileptic seizure. I never have because the dog taught everything about epilepsy even though she only had a few ,maybe 6 or 8 seizures in 3 years. The seizures only lasted 10 - 15 minutes and the dog usually passed out for a few minutes then would regain consciousness and would finally go to sleep and sleep out of the seizure just like human.
