Most towns in the UK after WW2 were lovely places to live. There was hardly any crime because there was respect for those in authority, kids were taught right from wrong. Town centres were thriving because online shopping didn’t exist. I miss those days.
The governments, many can't see we've been in a mass social experiment! It's all planned...we are now in a 3rd world society, genderless, emotionless apart from frustrated, bored and angry, no morals, no values, can't say what you think, de-skilled, no prospects and no trades. Welcome to the "new normal"
AT 0:57 I can see TIKO. I remember having their pasties when I was a kid .🤤 I can still remember what they tasted like. I don't think I will ever have a pasty that tastes as good as those ones did as long as I live. 😥
I think you meant mesothelioma or pneumoconiosis. An inherent issue with working in a dusty environment. Modern pits had better ventilation and dust suppression than in the past. @mikemcguiness130

03.47 is Leek surely?!
Yes that's Leek.
My reaction exactly!
Looks like the original dirty old town in the song.
I saw the old Mintons factory. And Tommy Dawkins' pub.
Compare Longton 3.20 with today - what a pity !
Yes it's really gone downhill has neck end.
❤
3:10 Fresh Air from the Potteries 😂😂😂
everyone grafted away in the pits and potbanks and for what?
I was in the pit for 25 years. Fantastic times. Weve left nothing for our children only empty streets full of crap and rough sleepers.
