And then play out how they believe she drugged, Burned, Beat, stabbed, and shot Gannon. But we will never know exactly what happen. Because only two people know and one is dead. It’s such a clunky and practiced phrase when compared to things like “I wasn’t in the right head space. It all happened so fast. I wasn’t in control of myself. I couldn’t stop it. Nothing made sense. I didn’t know what I was actually doing.” Or any other phrase that’s not ripped straight out of the webpages she read. “I didn’t know the difference between right and wrong.” I can’t believe she thought she could slip that in there as if it doesn’t stand out like a red tractor in a haystack.

My son has the same stomach issues and Gannon because he was a small baby not a premie. My son is on Vyvanse too but the doctor told me to not to go on and off medication because it can make the stomach issues associated with Vyvanse worse. I say this so that people realize that this started after that hike the day before. She was enraged because they drove all the way there and poor Gannon had an accident because she took him off his medication. They got back and she unleashed her torture on Gannon. In that time I think she tried to set him on fire but the blanket wouldn’t burn fast enough and Gannon put out the fire. She convinced poor Gannon it was his fault. The burns were so bad that she gave him hydrocodone to quite him. She then told him she was taking him to the hospital. I think she was trying to find a place to kill him and dump his body but she could find anything in Douglas county so she went back home with him. We all know what happened next. This took planning. She left her phone in Petco on purpose. She cleaned the house. She made sure the girls went to the store knowing that would by her time. This is not the actions of an insane person. She is a narcissistic sociopath with pathological tendencies. I pray every night that this jury gets it right. This can not be another Casey Anthony case.

2:04:38 she does turn her head to her lawyer right after that question. He may have heard her say “No!”, which is why he wanted to approach the bench and alert the judge instead of having her admonished in front of the jury. Prosecutor was making a record of it for the judge to address it later. I heard nothing but it lines up with exactly what the judge said. Prosecutor asked Ms. Torres a question and Leticia said “No!” out loud and then the Prosecutor approached the bench. It must have been low because when he did call it out, no one in the live chat even heard it being said.

I think she was giving him medications that caused his stomach issues to become extreme, such as overdoses of anti diarrheal medication/& then likely laxatives. Then she would have to do enemas on him, and keep him home from school.. And then the many times she mentions how Gannon would mess in his pants, or couldn’t make it to the bathroom..
something wasn’t right with all this, and I have no doubt she was doing something to him, and was enjoying the control and torture she was inflicting on this poor child.

One of the moments that showed how cruel the defendant was, and is, was when she changed her FB-profile to the video of Gannon when he was running away from the camera, waiving, saying goodbye and jumping into the water…. And she did this (I think) right after she had thrown Gannon (in the suitcase) off a bridge, into what she probably thought was water. 😳 This is one of the most cruel things I’ve ever heard of. I was following this case as it was unfolding and I remember this very clearly (of course no one knew about the suitcase and the bridge then, everyone were still looking for Gannon, it was horrendous on its own).
My reaction then was visceral (and when I, during the trial, found out WHEN she changed this on FB my mind was blown. This is one of the worst people I’ve ever heard about. If she doesn’t check most of the boxes for antisocial PD I don’t know who does). I remember how strongly Gannon’s mom (Landon) reacted when she saw this (in real time). She told the defendant (I won’t say her name anymore) through social media to take it down. It was so cruel it’s hard to fathom.
I know the State admitted this video early on in the trial. I hope they put all this together for the jury in their closing argument - that they show what she changed her FB-profile pic to and WHEN. If that isn’t premeditated torture I don’t know what is. 😢

I conclude that she planned to push him off the hike. That failed. She then planned a house fire in which she would claim she couldn't get downstairs to him. She's jumped on him & beat him. She poured the wax in the carpet to cover the blood. He coughs in the video because he's bleeding internally or heavily from his nose after she beat & burned him. When all of that failed, she drugged him. When he still woke the day after, she told him to get in the truck & probably made him believe she was taking him to the hospital. She then planned a route to dump his body (all premeditated). I think she hoped he would, again, die in the truck & dump him. When that failed, she took him home and attacked him again, stabbing him. When that failed, she shot him. He was certainly a fighter. My belief is that even the gun didn't kill him instantly & that noise she speaks about is the air coming from his lungs when she pushes him into that case. Nothing about any of this tells me she is insane. Screwed up, evil & premeditated in her actions All for selfish gain. I'm almost certain the Laina would have come to her demise sooner or later, too. She's a risk to children. Imagine she's worked with them for years. Nasty, horrible monster. Life will not be enough they should bring back the death penalty by stoning just for her

As someone who studied forensic psychology, I think it’s absolutely insane for defense to try to persuade a jury that she has the ID and still go along with the whole story of an intruder and all that you cannot combine the bolt and you don’t just get the ID all of the sudden with nobody else knowing and it just causes you to murder a child. When are they going to try to tie the actual DID to the murder, and the reasoning behind it.? it’s not a diagnosis that you just wake up one day and then all of a sudden you’re paranoid and you have a disorder and then you kill someone not to mention all of the lies and actions taken afterwards, and since defense wants to talk about statistics, I would love to hear statistics behind true D ID patience, committing a horrendous crime, and then all of a sudden being diagnosed with DID that usually only happens in a insanity trial not an actual real D ID situation sadly all of his talk is for nothing. I don’t think anyone is ignorant enough to believe in an actual theory, which was convenient for defense to bring up is his disorder where it is mainly theoretical because there’s not a true outline. It’s basically like talking about nerve pain because you can’t see it on an x-ray doesn’t mean it’s not there that’s how they are faking

They could have said she was so desperate to get Al to come home and this was her idea. Or she only meant to hurt Gannon and it went to far. Or she started this fire on purpose to get Al home, but Gannon caught her and she freaked out that he was going to tell on her.

Truthfully Tecias education and ability to manipulate along with a predisposition for violence I think she should be locked up for life in an institution for the criminally insane. Partly because I know she would be absolutely miserable in one of those places. For someone like her that would be a date worse than life in prison. Since they decided to go so far against putting her in a facility like that she's going to get life in prison no parole. I definitely could've played devil's advocate for the defense though. I think it was planned but the plan was "OMG, Gannon kocked a candle over is his sleep and died. I tried to get him but the fire was too bad but I got everyone else out." That would be harder to prove she was guilty. She told 2 diff stories, he was asleep when she came up on the fire and then he knocked the candle over trying to hide his video games that he wasn't suppose to be playing with as she came downstairs. So...he saw her coming downstairs, accidentally knocked the candle over and then immediately fell asleep?? She's lying, why is she lying about that if it really was an accident Gannon did? It's because he didn't do it. I think he was asleep and she tried to lite him on fire without using gasoline or something that could be found and he woke up before it got to bad. She then gaslit him into thinking he knocked it over. Which is why she took the video she did making sure he's saying he did it but it's also why he sounds confused and just wants help with his burns. It would be confusing to wake up on fire and your step mom yelling that you did it.
She knew he was burnt pretty bad and her original plan didn't work so she knew she was going to have to get her hands dirty. I think the overkill is because (sadly) I don't think Gannon was dying as quick as she thought he would and thinking about murder and then actually murdering someone upclose and personal is on a while other level. People also make noises even shortly after death, which may have made her think he was still alive when he wasn't.
IMO she planned it. She just had to divert from the original, more thought out fire plan.
