I will say this. BTS has done a lot of interviews in the US but this is by far my favorite so far. I love how Jimmy Fallon didn't baby him like a lot of shows tend to do just because they don't speak English well like asking him dumb questions that are shallow with no meaning. I love how he respected him, letting him speak in his own language while being supportive! I hope the boys get to go back to him one day! WE STAN JIMMY FALLON...AND OUR BABY CHIMCHIM

I think what impressed me even more was his understanding of English. Jimmy Fallon was speaking fast and colloquially. There were no concessions given for someone having to comprehend a foreign language. Jimin will have known the general subjects, but there was none of that blank look you might get while trying to process just what was being said. He did incredibly well.

I feel so proud of Jimin, he is speaking such fluent English in itself is proof of how hardworking he is. Practicing songs and choreography all day and night is a big deal in itself and he still manages to take out his time to learn other languages fluently. (hats off to him.)

it’s a lot of pressure to go on a show that isn’t hosted in your native language. I can tell he worked so hard to prepare statements but also expressed more heartfelt answers in korean. he was prepared but still felt completely natural. that’s our jimin💜

I'm not a "fangirl" by any means, but I'm well aware of how hard BTS has worked not only in music in their own language and their performances (which are TOP tier), but that they've made the effort to learn English is impressive. To see him speaking mostly in English, with like zero grammatical error is astounding. I'm sure the people who follow him closely know more than that but even as a casual enjoyer I can see how impressive this is

I've never been interested in BTS but knowing how big they are I excepted this man to be arrogant, but that is not the case. He seems very thankful and respectful, has a nice sense of humor as well. I think it speaks how much he cares for his fans for doing this interview in mostly english. It seemed like he got lost for words once or twice but he did great! I like that Jimmy didn't rush him either. Nice interview I hope his album does well 👍.
They have such a loyal fanbase because the artist fan relationship in bts's case is one of a kind and extremely rare. Not that there aren't other artists that give all the respect to their fans but bts keeps in connect with their fans in every possible way. They have a whole app just to communicate, notify events and releases, go on live, respond to fan messages, address concerns fans may have about them etc. On a side note, their discography is insanely introspective with very well articulated lyrics which has gotten so many out of dire mental health situations (am one of them, clinically depressed and currently on meds after so much inhibition, until their constant affirmation on such topics). Besides, they came from a then broke company making music in garages in an industry with dominating labels that made them struggle worse. So there is a lot of history in how the fans shaped the journey. And since they introspect so much they are very humble.
BTS are some of the most humble music artists I've ever seen. They've achieved so much over the past 10 years and have gotten so much hate for no good reason and they still remain true to themselves and never flaunt their success. RM the leader of BTS said this “If our success is 100%, 50% of it is from ARMY (the fans), and 5% from each member (7 members), the remaining 15% are from HYBE and Big Hit (their company). That’s why we are able to succeed”. “If you think of this as a trophy, the part I occupy is a very small edge,” “I think of it as a success of many people, not a success I made. Thinking like that keeps me humble. This seems to be an important mind in order to survive in this job,”
I'm a 30+ woman and I swore not to get familiar with BTS, because I thought the whole K-pop industry was a toxic money machine, but just before the pandemic hit, I klicked on a video that introduced every BTS member and I instantly became a fan, because what I heard about them really moved me - how they worked really hard and tried to promote their music by themselves etc. They got me through those long months that I spent totally alone during the pandemic. Not all of their songs are my cup of tea, but that doesn't matter at all. I've followed their doings from the moment I learnt their names and I'm very proud of how far they have come. They are so, so humble and I respect that a lot. They are beautiful souls and I can't wait to see what life brings to them.

I feel so proud of Jimin, he is speaking such fluent English in itself is proof of how hardworking he is. Practicing songs and choreography all day and night is a big deal in itself and he still manages to take out his time to learn other languages fluently. (hats off to him.)

it’s a lot of pressure to go on a show that isn’t hosted in your native language. I can tell he worked so hard to prepare statements but also expressed more heartfelt answers in korean. he was prepared but still felt completely natural. that’s our jimin💜

I'm not a "fangirl" by any means, but I'm well aware of how hard BTS has worked not only in music in their own language and their performances (which are TOP tier), but that they've made the effort to learn English is impressive.
To see him speaking mostly in English, with like zero grammatical error is astounding.

I've never been interested in BTS but knowing how big they are I excepted this man to be arrogant, but that is not the case. He seems very thankful and respectful, has a nice sense of humor as well. I think it speaks how much he cares for his fans for doing this interview in mostly english. It seemed like he got lost for words once or twice but he did great! I like that Jimmy didn't rush him either. Nice interview I hope his album does well 👍.
They have such a loyal fanbase because the artist fan relationship in bts's case is one of a kind and extremely rare. Not that there aren't other artists that give all the respect to their fans but bts keeps in connect with their fans in every possible way. They have a whole app just to communicate, notify events and releases, go on live, respond to fan messages, address concerns fans may have about them etc. On a side note, their discography is insanely introspective with very well articulated lyrics which has gotten so many out of dire mental health situations (am one of them, clinically depressed and currently on meds after so much inhibition, until their constant affirmation on such topics). Besides, they came from a then broke company making music in garages in an industry with dominating labels that made them struggle worse. So there is a lot of history in how the fans shaped the journey. And since they introspect so much they are very humble.
BTS are some of the most humble music artists I've ever seen. They've achieved so much over the past 10 years and have gotten so much hate for no good reason and they still remain true to themselves and never flaunt their success. RM the leader of BTS said this “If our success is 100%, 50% of it is from ARMY (the fans), and 5% from each member (7 members), the remaining 15% are from HYBE and Big Hit (their company). That’s why we are able to succeed”. “If you think of this as a trophy, the part I occupy is a very small edge,” “I think of it as a success of many people, not a success I made. Thinking like that keeps me humble. This seems to be an important mind in order to survive in this job,”

I'm a 30+ woman and I swore not to get familiar with BTS, because I thought the whole K-pop industry was a toxic money machine, but just before the pandemic hit, I klicked on a video that introduced every BTS member and I instantly became a fan, because what I heard about them really moved me - how they worked really hard and tried to promote their music by themselves etc. They got me through those long months that I spent totally alone during the pandemic. Not all of their songs are my cup of tea, but that doesn't matter at all. I've followed their doings from the moment I learnt their names and I'm very proud of how far they have come. They are so, so humble and I respect that a lot. They are beautiful souls and I can't wait to see what life brings to them.
