A simple and tiny remote based on the ESP32 Pico D4 with integrated WiFi and bluetooth. To visualize things I've added this tiny 160x80 pixels TFT display. Temperature, humidity and acceleration sensor are as well on board. Initially build to control things in my camper van, this thing can be used to control anything around the internet of things. And the best: It can play GIFs - even my own ones!

This took SOLDERING IRON to a whole new level

  •  2 года назад +27

I keep seeing the tiny, tiny hairs when you place components for soldering and think you should DIY yourself a laminar flow hood. I love watching your videos. Just seeing you go through the steps is kind of inspiring. I would have never thought I could SMD solder but here I am having ordered a hot-air rework station... yay, rabbit holes!

I'm thinking a three way pattern in swiping your solder paste may help. Fills in the voids of the stencil. They calculate the area so that the proper amount of paste is applied. I think solder content would be a requisite for purchase of a paste too. Nice work. :-)

There should be a new standard of GIFs with ogg vorbis sound whereby you get 9 markers into which you add 8 sounds to trigger (the first being deprecated when the 9th plays). So you have 8channel sound if needed when played simultaneously, or 9 played one after the other at timeframes throughout the GIF duration.

The software was EAGLE CAM, showing only 2 layers (top and bottom). EAGLE is free to use if you only make small 2 layer boards in small batches like this, and PCB houses like PCBWay also encourage 2 layers strongly with the prices, so it's pretty common to stick to that constraint.
