Acrylic and resins are easily turned on the 8L lathe, but wood can cause some issues. Since the wood dust get abrasive when it mixes with the way oil, it could potentially damage components on the 8L during heavy use.
I really hope the 8L gets an automatic collet closer kit soon. 👀

What's the largest diameter that will pass through spindle if the 4 jaw is primarily used?
