The Storm IQ Tour Emerald is one of my favorite bowling balls, look forward to getting the Storm IQ Tour Ruby. My other favorite bowling balls are Motiv Rogue Assassin and Columbia 300 Tyrant.
That ball is impressive. Something about red pearls, at least for me anyway, seem to roll really good especially from deeper angles.

Looks like to me the IQ Ruby is more forgiving if you miss a little left or right compared to the other two. That Ruby just seems to want to find and stay in the pocket more even if you should throw/release wrong a bit or miss your mark a bit, it gives you a wider margin of forgiveness you could say. For league bowlers and house shots I think this Ruby is the way to go and there's going to be a lot of bowlers with this one in their bags and I think I will have to pick one of these up as well. Of course, what do I really know right? After all I'm just your average Joe nobody LOL.

Interesting. I ordered the Ruby to be my ball down from my Revenant, thinking that despite the RG, it was a weaker cover, and way lower diff. Looking like I might have misjudged the way they're going to fit. I'll have to think about if I want to cheat with surface and layout I guess to make sure there's enough of a gap.

I used to be a Storm guy several years ago but I've been throwing Hammer the past 7 years or so. This IQ Ruby has me thinking about switching back. I bought the Electrify GO last weekend as a step down ball from my Hammer Obsession Tour Pearl. I shot a 300 game at the Southwest tournament in Wichita last weekend with the Obsession Tour Pearl so its time to retire it. Maybe I replace it with the IQ Ruby and go back to Storm... Great video by the way!
In my opinion I would keep the best balls from all the brands and be unstoppable. Only throwing one brand is good if your on the PBA tour but outside of that. Throw everything.

I've got one beef with this ball. Benchmarks and benchmark pearls should be $125-150 undrilled. The IQ Tour Solid is $142 undrilled right now. This ball at $175 is ridiculous. That's where the big assyms should be, not a mid-level ball
Agreed, but why let all the resalers make all the money I guess is the point. Is it going to stop people from buying it, is the real question?

@@michaeljamrozy4299 yeah the whole banning of balls made a lot of folks jump ship and move on. It left a very sour taste in the mouth of a lot of bowlers

I just can't justify the price for this ball. Storm has to many pros on their staff they have to charge more for there stuff. Forced me to go with hammer and radical moving forward
Would you say this ball is good being used on the fresh?! Or mainly suggesting it on the burned up oil pattern?! I’m typically a down an in kind of bowler (down 10-12 maybe out to like 5-7, 13.5-15mph) what layout would you recommend for the IQ Ruby?!
The ball is meant for lanes that transitioned. You can definitely use it earlier than that just may need to be mindful of your speed.
I’m big fan of layouts with 4.5 in pins. 65 x 4 x 40. Run these number by your Proshop operator to confirm or tweak they will know more about your game.
