I was in so much pain it was impossible to play in them. I've picked these phantoms up today and I must say they are so so much more comfortable everywhere on feet. The phantoms are definitely made for comfort and those with wider feet

Just received my custom pair of GX’s today!! They look sick. I went for the DF model and also AG studs. Here in Australia we normally play natural fields though we also play a fair bit on artificial grass, and I like the AG studs Nike does for easy movement on the field. I have been most recently playing with GT2 AG model and also DF for about a year and a half. Looking forwards to breaking these in. I got my usual size 8 where my toe is currently feeling cramped in, (not to mention how much of a struggle it is to get them on), but Im pretty sure these will stretch out and eventually fit me like a glove! Can’t wait for the first hitout with them tomorrow morning
Here I have the GX Elite FG! I can say they are really sick and versatile! Although they are designed in major character to control, they have this plate that also gives speed if necessary (I know I am the one with speed, but the traction thing is really a matter, and I think the GX2 gives more traction to the speed and acceleration). They are great, man! Really great!
@@nofootebasnice opinions man! Yes gx1 and gx2 are great boots! Never tried the 2 but they look awesome. I actually moved over to adidas though! I have the predator 24 fg (non fold over tongue version). I absolutely love them! They feel very solid, awesome grip texturing for shooting and nice padded touch, feeling similar to leather. Also love the sole plate and personally prefer it over the nike gx boots which for me are a bit too flexible. Both boots are really great though!
The grip these offer up is under sold, big time. I took a handful of cleats, got them wet along with a couple different balls, and "slid" them along the wet ball; the "wet grip" these offered up was 3-4X all the other cleats. We were going to use these for special conditions (wet weather); unfortunately, the toe box is too dang pointy and he has wide toe box. I'm thinking these might be okay for someone with wide heel, or wide midfoot, but now way could these work for someone with wide toebox...I do not think he could have survived enough suffering to stretch them out far enough. It's a shame for us because that grip nit is the best material I've ever seen used on a boot. Oh, and I also feel like they run a full 1/4 size too long...at the pair we had in hand did. THANKS!!!
What an experiment! In the future I’d recommend if he finds a shoe he really loves and can get it to the point where he need a bit more stretch out of them, use a shoe stretcher! You can find one on Amazon for $30
Ordered my pair recently tried some on in store and the fit was a half size small or maybe my feet just grew a lot with the other gt 2 I had. I found it to be easier to put on for me and the lockdown is world class
Do you prefer these over the puma future? Those are my current boots and dealing with my feet falling asleep around 30 minutes into a half. Not sure if they are too tight or not... Chiropractor suggested it might be the boots so considering the GX. Much love and your videos are still underrated.
For the most part, yeah! If your feet are falling asleep, I think it’s fair to say the boots are too small 😅 Id look at the GX, or even the Pure.1 to have some leather option

I sure hope other companies follow-suit with similar materials to this grip nit. So grippy in dry or wet! In the meantime, do you know any good hacks to add a little grip to slicker synthetics or leather uppers? Some of these materials are downright slick, especially when wet. I know there are quite a few grip enhancers sold for use in American football, to give additional grip to gloves, hands, and even the football...I just haven't yet tried any of these sprays. Looking for something that would add tack, but not collect debris...so no pine tar, lol.

If you like and enjoy K-Leather, I'd probably stick with that! No material is going to be the same as leather unless it's something like K-better from Puma, the MicroSK from Asics, or KangaLite from Nike.
Hi Noah, I’ve got wide feet especially in the mid foot area that’s where I feel the tightness in most boots. I had the mercurial Vapor 13s which were the best fitting boots I’ve ever had and then I went to the Vapor 14s which feel similar but whilst playing in them they feel much tighter in the mid foot area and painful after game time. Should I move up a size in the Vapor’s or switch to GX/Puma Futures? Thanks mate

I hate the df because of the ghost thing and I love them because there’s no slot thing at the end of the ghost laces its fully closed ( it’s kind of a one piece boot like there’s no 2 parts ) I really hate the low version because of the slot at the end of the laces it kind of make it a 2 material boot upper part which is the gripknit and lower which is the rest of the boot I really don’t know what to do man
I've always wore Mercurial and they fit very well for my narrow type foot. Would you recommend these over the mercurial vapor 15 for an explosive type of player who plays on the wing. I know lots is marketing but I've seen a difference between tiempos and vapor for sure. Any concerns with the heel and the lack of protection there. Will I notice a huge difference on the plate coming from the vapor 14? Are there true to size or different in sizing compared to mercurial? Thank you!

Hey Noah, really liked the video as it helped me decide whether to get preds or these, and I love the boot as they came in today, I was just wondering about size wise when it came out of the box I have maybe a 1/4 inch of length from the top of the boot to my big toe, I'm wondering if you think it's gonna stretch out too much where it affects my performance because width wise they feel great after breaking them in at practice. Nope! I usually have the same thing when I get them at first and then the boots break in really well and that space goes away as my toes stretch out the toe area!

I recently bought a pair of the United Phantom GX’s, in the tiempo legend 9s I wore a 10.5 and they hurt to wear for a while but after a month or so they foot like a glove. But the 10.5 on the GX elites feels slightly bigger and does really squeeze my feet the same way the Tiempo did when I first bought it, they almost feel like I’ve worn them already without playing in them if you get what I mean. Not sure what to do, love the boots but don’t want to play in oversized boots. Please let me know what you think?
If they fit, it sounds like there's no issue at all! If you find that down the road the boots have overstretched (not an issue with the GXs in my long term testing), you should be just fine 🤝
Both are very good boots mate! I’d say the more performance oriented boot is the GX, and you’ll probably pay WAY more for the Phantom Ultra, so I’d go for the GX 🔥

I'm getting a super headache with these shoes. 41 - very very hard to get them in, destroyed my fingers, wore them 2 hours in the house, killed my feet. I had deep wear marks. 42 - better to get in, feels good, but seems too much empty space in the front, not lateral swing, no front and back swing, but it's just empty space ahead of the big-medium toes. I am not sure if that's normal or not... TBH returning 41s because i am not a fan of tearing my fingers down to get these boots on had an old Tiempo pair for 10 years, wanted to change Could you let me know how much space is in front of the toes?

I usually do a Crossbar training from 20m just to warm up. 4/5 4 in a row 100% hits with these boots. Just incredible. However i need some time to understand them as sometimes i completely missed long passes due to boots being so different than my old Tiempo.

I’ve had my DFs for about four months now and I love them but a couple of weeks ago I started experiencing pain sort of like the pain you feel when you have tendonitis on the inside (medial side) of both my ankles. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this just so that I can scratch it out as a possibility.
I would say that might be an issue with your ankles as opposed to the boots! Just depends how much you're playing, how strong your ankles/knees are, and what surfaces types you play on
hey noah, i know its been months since this video but i wanna ask you if the fg stud pattern is ok for ag. i always wear ag and the only fg boot i tried was hypervenom 2 and it has all conical studs so its like an ag. i am really scared about getting injured cause i play on low- mid quality ag fields.

Have you tried wearing them in the rain already? I do find that the high-top model takes me a bit longer to break in... definitely something to consider
Hey Noah, I have the AG Nike ID made in Bosnia and the DF made in Vietnan, for some reason the AG feels more roomy on the toe box what are you thoughts since you have both versions, also I like the looking and feeling of the DF but still thinking a lot on the low cut, need your advice, thanks master sensei
If your ID version is a low top, they definitely feel roomier than the DF model. If they're BOTH DF models, I'd say it might just be a difference in manufacturing between the two countries - I haven't noticed that much of a difference between the Bosnia and Non-Bosnia boots, but I definitely notice the difference between the DF and low cut model 🤝
anyone got problems with blister on the big toe from this boots? i feel like they fit a bit long but when i stand on my toe there is like closse to 0 room but when i just put it on it was like 0,5cm so i dont think its bucuse they are too big. I have used the pro and didnt get blisters so maybe i need thicker socks becuse the material is different?

Nice mate! The GX2 and Luna2 are identical, yes. This first generation in the video is still wider than the Lunas
How do you clean the lace area? 😂 do we just have to accept it will be grey after a while because those turf stains are so difficult to get out

Would you recommend these over the mercurial vapor 15 for an explosive type of player who plays on the wing. I know lots is marketing but I've seen a difference between tiempos and vapor for sure.

Hey Noah, really liked the video as it helped me decide whether to get preds or these, and I love the boot as they came in today, I was just wondering about size wise when it came out of the box I have maybe a 1/4 inch of length from the top of the boot to my big toe, I'm wondering if you think it's gonna stretch out too much where it affects my performance because width wise they feel great after breaking them in at practice. Nope! I usually have the same thing when I get them at first and then the boots break in really well and that space goes away as my toes stretch out the toe area!

Hey Noah, a bit of a long question. Love the video! I recently bought a pair of the United Phantom GX’s, in the tiempo legend 9s I wore a 10.5 and they hurt to wear for a while but after a month or so they foot like a glove.
But the 10.5 on the GX elites feels slightly bigger and does really squeeze my feet the same way the Tiempo did when I first bought it, they almost feel like I’ve worn them already without playing in them if you get what I mean.
Not sure what to do, love the boots but don’t want to play in oversized boots. Please let me know what you think?
If they fit, it sounds like there's no issue at all! If you find that down the road the boots have overstretched (not an issue with the GXs in my long term testing), you should be just fine 🤝

Both are very good boots mate! I’d say the more performance oriented boot is the GX, and you’ll probably pay WAY more for the Phantom Ultra, so I’d go for the GX 🔥
Not sure if I should size a whole size up because I’m usually a size 7w and I got 7.5w and my toes at the front an feels super snugged so I’m debating on getting a 8w cause I’m scared it’ll be to big

That's what happens when you play football 😂 I wouldn't worry about the mud, just use a sponge or toothbrush and water.

I'm getting a super headache with these shoes.
41 - very very hard to get them in, destroyed my fingers, wore them 2 hours in the house, killed my feet. I had deep wear marks.
42 - better to get in, feels good, but seems too much empty space in the front, not lateral swing, no front and back swing, but it's just empty space ahead of the big-medium toes.
I am not sure if that's normal or not...

I usually do a Crossbar training from 20m just to warm up. 4/5 4 in a row 100% hits with these boots.
Just incredible.
However i need some time to understand them as sometimes i completely missed long passes due to boots being so different than my old Tiempo.

I’ve had my DFs for about four months now and I love them but a couple of weeks ago I started experiencing pain sort of like the pain you feel when you have tendonitis on the inside (medial side) of both my ankles. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this just so that I can scratch it out as a possibility.
I would say that might be an issue with your ankles as opposed to the boots! Just depends how much you're playing, how strong your ankles/knees are, and what surfaces types you play on

hey noah, i know its been months since this video but i wanna ask you if the fg stud pattern is ok for ag. i always wear ag and the only fg boot i tried was hypervenom 2 and it has all conical studs so its like an ag. i am really scared about getting injured cause i play on low- mid quality ag fields.
I'd definitely go for an AG pair mate, much better AND you can wear them on FG when you need to

hey, beed some help i wear size 46 on puma future latest ones and theyre a bit bigger like theres space infront of my toes kinda annoying at times but fine should i get same size 46 i phantom gx elite FG as well with the ghost lace , will they fit better in size 46?
I'm not sure mate, the Future Ultimate fits longer than most boots, so you might be just fine in a 46 or potentially a 45

Have you tried wearing them in the rain already? I do find that the high-top model takes me a bit longer to break in... definitely something to consider

The future runs 1/4 size long for sure - the GX just has a slightly longer toe point at the end and I found going true to size was best

Hey Noah, I have the AG Nike ID made in Bosnia and the DF made in Vietnan, for some reason the AG feels more roomy on the toe box what are you thoughts since you have both versions, also I like the looking and feeling of the DF but still thinking a lot on the low cut, need your advice, thanks master sensei
If your ID version is a low top, they definitely feel roomier than the DF model. If they're BOTH DF models, I'd say it might just be a difference in manufacturing between the two countries - I haven't noticed that much of a difference between the Bosnia and Non-Bosnia boots, but I definitely notice the difference between the DF and low cut model 🤝

They're the same boot mate! I'd say the low top will fit a bit wider in general because of the extra material on the high top over time
anyone got problems with blister on the big toe from this boots? i feel like they fit a bit long but when i stand on my toe there is like closse to 0 room but when i just put it on it was like 0,5cm so i dont think its bucuse they are too big. I have used the pro and didnt get blisters so maybe i need thicker socks becuse the material is different?
