I get it when almost every summer tbr I've ever made for myself just is filled with romance. Something about summer just makes me want to binge romance books.
The Roughest Draft is one of my all-time favourite books but I wouldn't describe it as "light and summer-y". It's very sombre and emotional. There's a lot of depth to these characters and their conflict. I would say don't go into it expecting a light and fluffy read because it broke my heart but the ending was very sweet and fitting.
I had to click on this video because I was like WHAT girl, I’m literally living in North Dakota (USA) where we have winter 7-8 months of the year with snow on the ground so to see a Summer tbh in November while we are preparing for blizzards & no travel is crazy! Wellll I subscribed hello from the other side of the world 🩷
Oh & by the way , None of this is true by Lisa Jewel had a choke hold on me!! Like I wasn’t emotionally attached to the characters but I literally haven’t stopped thinking of that book it’s crazy I promise you’ll like it ! I put it down and was like “what did I just read oh my god”
i’m so so picky with romance but just finished flawless and i was obsessed with it!! i was hesitant about the whole cowboy thing at first but it was actually kind of fun. i think you’d really enjoy it!!

Meet Me at the Lake was a two-star read for me, and I know a lot of people on Bookstagram didn't love it. 😑 The Chestnut Springs series is good and gets better with each book.
