@@rydenbarr9041 You are correct in that we are a land that once was populated by immigrants from the old land and accepted immigrants like we still do today -all of which is a good thing. I believe though, Nick is referring more to the acceptance of illegal border crossers, not protecting our borders and burdening our working class with more taxes for 'keeping' these illegals. Also, he likely doesn't want immigrants that don't want to live by our values. Importantly those that believe their way is the only way, and believe in the likes of sharia law for instance. As for Canada having two official languages, that may be true technically, but French is spoken by only 20% of Canadians which roughly corresponds to the population of Quebec. It is not like everyone speaks English and French interchangeably. Canada definitely has some multiculturalism, but we are not a melting-pot of cultures. Most cultures stick to themselves, although overtime, the slow process of integration will take place, it has to be done while abiding to Canada's laws and conforming to the nature of society without constant change to suit the minority for their sake only.
