I was planning to sell my TI couple of times, but after undusting it and comparing the sound with some modern vst synths, i was shocked, cause virus is still unarguably the winner! Most versatile and best digital synth ever made to me 🥰
The synth dreams are made of! I became obsessed with this synth for years purely based on a blog post about making psy trance. Almost 20 years later I own a polar and have a 128 key darkstar on loan. I could loose my life in this synth. Nothing compares to you babe
It really is a fantastic synth. It can do so much, and sound better than many today, especially if you know what you are doing! I never used the plug-in apart from to back up my sounds I have made from time to time, but you can do that with aura along all the other stuff if you want. The interface date I say it is better than the original!
By far the best demo of this synth I’ve ever heard. Showcases its vast capabilities very nicely. Excellent playing. I’m definitely sold on it now. Thanks.
Great job... I own both Polar and keyboard and I recognize every sound used well ... Virus is a great tool for sounding cinematrographic and professional productions ... these 47 minutes do it justice ... on many sounds I would have opened the pan spectrum even more, but this is a great selection of what Virus can do. Thanks, greetings from Italy

Vielen dank an sie das haben sie wirklich sehr gut gemacht es dürfte sicherlich für viele zum kauf kommen mich eingeschlossen.!!
Some wonderful sounds hear and I never new this synth was this lush and powerful. It's definitely on my list now to purchase one. Thank you for the insight to this wonderful music machine.
really? i have never owned one, it has never had so much competition surely right now ... but this demo sounds amazing i'll admit that!! its sounds very different to my PEAK and XD (although hybrids) , im wondering whether to get one now, but with so many new digi 's like the HYDRASYNTH, The Modal Argon8 and the pricey Quantum i don't know... Hmmm
well maybe best VA yeah. And I love the attitude about integration especially. But does it compete sonically with the best sounding synths period? (like sequential and moog for example). Frankly, I don't think so. Unless you just really like that sound (I find it mild-mannered but somehow a bit 'dull'). If only integration was a goal of more hardware makers, they could compete with plug-ins more. As much as I love the sound of the Rev2 or Prophet6, or OB-6, for example, the companies attitude is like 'fuk you because our synths sound so good' seriously they don't seem to give a shit about editors and librarians, farming them out and making you pay extra and there are no good demos and no refunds on that software. Because honestly even when hardware sounds a bit better, if patch librarian tasks are cumbersome you might be like, well fuk this garbage. Just takes a lot of the fun out it and leaves me questioning the company's priorities. And even with the editor/librarian, those synths can have SO many quirks and shortcomings. With the Rev2 they LIED about full bitimbral opertion (right in the manual they lied). Even 3 years post releaseThe Rev2 will NOT respond to independent Pitchbend (or Aftertouch) on each 'layer' ! So unless you think pitchbend is not an iconic required ability of a synth, then no, the Rev2 is NOT 'two synths in one'.
Cool demo. I’ve been considering this as my first analog synth purchase. I use an MPC One with and iPad Pro 2021 , Korg Gadget 2 and other stuff I’ve bought…hooked up to a MPK Mini Mk3 controller and a pair of M50x cans. I’ve been thinking I can hook the Virus up to my MPC one and user the MPK mini to play it and use the mpc as the main sequencer. I will probably end up buying this sometime in the near future. I’ve always wanted a Virus and when I saw the polar and now hearing how it sounds….I’m sold on it. Thanks for the demo!
I think you should learn the difference between an analog synth, digital synth and a hybrid synth before making a purchase. This is not an analog synth, it’s a damn good sounding digital synth.
I had a TI2 keyboard once. I could never compress the audio well enough to capture how BIG this thing is straight into an analog mixer. Lovely synth and GREAT DEMO
My TI polar is on the way, I can’t wait. I’ve got plenty of synths both analog and digital and I love them and use them all frequently but something about the sound of the Virus really appeals to me. I really doubt it’s the end all be all synth that some claim it to be I don’t expect it to replace any of my synths at all but I do expect a nicely crafted VA with an ok amount of modulation and a top notch effects section. When I get it I’m going to do the complete opposite of every Virus owner I’ve talked to so far and I’m going to completely wipe the user presets and replace them all with Init patches then I’m going to just sit down with it and dive in deep 🤘🏽
Im really wanting to like the hydrasynth but it just doesn't sound as good as this. This thing not only sounds unreal and complex. But musical and haunting
I borrowed a hyndrasynth to see if I want one. I kinda do, but I bought a Virus. There is no contest whatsoever in sound. I do miss the polyphonic aftertouch and workflow of the Hydra but I just can't argue with the Virus sound. And the keybed is really good.
had a Polar for 14 years now, realised how good the layout is with all the controls just above the keyboard, makes tweaking soo easy. Had ideas of getting the keyboard version but all controls sit to the left.
Thats because the face is always the same. They synth engine/electronics always fills the same amount of space whether it's polar, keyboard, or desktop. Keeps costs down for them i guess.
You really know how to make great music with the Virus! Did you ever record an album with it? In Bandcamp I just find one album from you, and there you apparently didn’t use the TI.
@@derekbaker3279 I have really not much experience with older virus models, but; going with ti, has more everything, more knobs on interface, more synth engines, effect section per part(!) and so on. That was my favorite part too!

Real nice to hear a demo from someone that doesn’t just scroll through presets . Nice patches , nice music 👍
