    I'm 6'4" 200lbs with big hands. This thing is a laser-beam. The coating is fantastic. The trigger gets a lot better after 5-600 rounds and the reset is of the best in strikers that I've ever fired. It is leaps and bounds better than my XD, XDS. Glock 43 and even the Hellcat that I shot before deciding on the XL.

      I'm 6'3 with the fingers of a 6'7 person. Always struggled with smaller pistols. I carried a P229elite 40sw for years because it fit my hands so well (plus it's an incredible gun overall) but it was so big for EDC. Tried several smaller 9mm, landed on the 365xl. Love it

      I spent two hours today side by side testing a 43X and the P365XL. Neither disappointed but the P365 was a clear winner by virtue of the trigger alone. I went in thinking both triggers would suck and the Glock 43 did nothing to change that notion. The SIG on the other hand provided a pleasant surprise. The best part for me was that under recoil the SIG moved nearly straight up and down during intense rapid fire resulting in vertical stringing at 10 yards on a USPSA target. I attribute this to the way the P365 just happens to fit my hands combined with my natural grip pressure. For the life of me, I could not replicate this with the Glock which tended to move sideways dispersing shots decidedly more laterally. Anyway, I decided the P365 was my best choice of the two as a new EDC gun.
      The Glock seemed to want to come to zero from sideways

    I am left handed. That said, I never swap anything and adapt to right handed controls. Use my left middle finger to drop the mag, and go under the front to rack after slide lock. Works like a champ, and if I rob one off a dead foe most likely inferior handed, I can use his without breaking my stride.

    This gun is my EDC and I absolutely love it. Incredibly accurate, extremely durable, comfy in my hands and I’m not a big guy. I’m about 180 lbs with an athletic build and I can conceal it easily and comfortably. Not to mention how fun it is to load some fmj rounds and just plink at steel all day with this gun and I love the Romeo zero.

    M*CARBO makes a spring kit for the P365 which dramatically improves the trigger pull. About $20 and half an hour's worth of time took mine from Glock level to PPQ level. The creep is almost entirely eliminated and the reset is incredibly tactile and crisp.

    I love the modularity of the P365XL. I put the base 365 grip on my XL. This gives me the option to pocket carry with a 10 rd magazine and pinky extension in a Vedder pocket holster. Or I can carry it with a 12 round mag and an IWB holster. For deep concealment I can wear it in a belly band with either 10 or 12 rounds when I'm wearing a dress shirt. Finally I can carry it in an OWB holster under a sport coat or suit. It is the most versatile CCW gun I have ever carried.

    Yeah if you're a leprechaun dude like I am, you will probably enjoy how the 365xl feels in the hand. The fit factor alone will help you shoot better than you will with a glock 19 or other similarly sized 9mm. It's also nice to not have to buy a extended grip like you would in a glock 26 or a regular 365. I compared it to my Sig P210 and the recoil really wasn't much more noticeable with the 365xl. Fully loading the 12 round was quite difficult at first, but it became much more manageable after a few reloads.

    Good video. I love mine, but it has a Hogue grip sleeve and helps a lot with the feel of the grip. I have big hands and that made a huge difference. The red dot works great. It is very fast to get on target with and the pistol is very accurate. I've been looking at these dang 365's for a couple years now and finally made the decision when I saw the Sig p365 RomeoZero. Excellent combination. I generally use iron sights on my pistols, but this red dot works great. I would not change a thing!! The trigger on mine is great, reset is quick and the pistol is not as snappy as you would think for a pistol of this size. YMMV.

    Great, thorough review. P365XL is in my top 3 considerations for a smaller ccw. Glad to hear you like it.

  • @robertroth4505
    @robertroth4505 Год назад

    Sig has now changed the design on the XL by attaching the rear site to the slide frame so that it is retained when a red dot is mounted. That's the good news. The bad news is they are still using low sights which eliminates the co-witness when using a Holoson 407K. The trigger on mine is one of my favorites and much preferred to the 6+ pounder on my Hellcat Pro which will receive an aftermarket trigger. I replaced the magazine spring, followerer and baseplate with the Magguts package which converts the 12 round magazine to 14 rounds. Works perfect. The XL carries easily, shoots fast and straight.

      I may do the same. My battery died on it within 2 months of buying it. I was livid. I was running it on maybe the 3rd or 4th brightness setting. So not anywhere the highest brightness. That’s a $15 battery change, given the fact I now have to check my zero with my self defense loads again. I wish the gun came with the rear sight mount, it’s almost impossible to find it now, and I’m having a hard time trusting the red dot. Love the gun though!

    Moot point #1: Modern hollow points have fast burning powders specifically designed for 3" barrels.
    Moot point #2: add the 12 round mag to the p365 you have the same grip (minus the flared mag well and larger beavertail) essentially same grip though.
    Moot point #3: the larger sight radius wont make you a better shooter. It will simply make a trained shooter more accurate. Big difference from what he said.

    • @TheHumbleMarksman
      @TheHumbleMarksman  3 года назад +2

      You are like halfway there on all 3.
      1. Some do- some don’t - some are designed around 4 or 4.5” barrel - even with 4” 3.8 is a lot closer
      2. But that’s not how they ship and most people carry them is it?
      3. Sight radius works for everyone - a marginal sight picture provides better hit based on a longer slide for anyone.

      I mean you can get a 12 round extended that’s about the same size as the xl. Can even get 15rd mags. It makes more sense to get the standard so you can decide whether to have more conceal ability. You can also get they red dot for the standard.

    Enjoyed the comedic sarcasm....... I recently purchased the 365xl because it was the first one that came available it was the NRA coyote which came with 2-12rd. mags and 1-15rd mag. Love the gun. That being said. My concern is a holster that won't rub the Cerakote from the gun. I prefer back right carry. Simply if there were an incident I'm partial to my femoral arteries. Don't want to have a fortune $$ in learning curve holsters. Ur input appreciated.

    I'm fairly sure Sig is trying to bankrupt me or give me paralysis through analysis. My wife is little so she loves the Sig P365. I bought a Hellcat RDP and really like the extra barrel length and having a compensator on a micro is a really cool innovation and noticeable. Why can't Sig just make a P365 with the barrel length of the XL with a compensator like the Spectre Comp. That would really help me because I want the best of both worlds to upgrade my wife's original P365.

    • @active4delta
      @active4delta 2 года назад

      Eventually Sig will sell the 365 Spectre Comp slide on their site, then you could get it and install it on your regular 365 with its shorter barrel/recoil spring even though the Spectre Comp slide is the same length as the XL.

    The trigger pull on my p365xl is better than showed in the video. Mine is spongy sure, I think most are but it's smooth and crisp on the break. It doesn't have 3 false walls like you say in the video. It has one defined wall, and then when you pull past the wall its spongy, but smooth until it breaks

  • @1001Hobbies
    @1001Hobbies Год назад

    Great video....however...A person spends about 1/8 to 1/16th of a second to pull a trigger (maybe less) so I don't understand the micro-dissecting of every ten-thousands's of the trigger pull. My standards are a little different. When I pull the trigger on my XL the gun fires. I know when it's going to fire, and it fires every time. To me, the trigger is working perfectly and could be no better. The clutch on my 2012 Ford Focus feels different than the clutch on my 2001 Ford ZX2 and 1993 F-150. However, all of these clutches worked perfectly. This is how I view triggers. No matter what a clutch feels like in a car or truck, you get used to it, and it works perfectly.

    I have the P365 and carry it with the 12 round extended mag. That gives me the same grip size as the XL. The thing I like about this gun is that I can put the ten round mag in it, for those times when I'm carrying in communist states that don't allow such things. In those communist states, it is very important for your weapon to NOT print.

    • @fireyourrocketts

      You are truly brave to carry in a communist state, like California? they do not recognize any out of state permits so carrying there is breaking their laws; (ultimately, the law?) yes I know the second says "shall not be infringed" but it is pointless to argue that we all know judges do not care and will be glad to confiscate your firearm and rip your permit in your face; you can lose your permit if caught carrying there. The solution for me is not to go there unless absolutely needed, say for work or work training that I have been twice this year but not to visit ever; I am not risking any of my guns or my permit to carrying for a bunch of commies and while i know I may be risking even worst with my life on the line if something ever happens it is the way it ought to be and the way it is! fuck them communists pieces of shites!
