There is a mistake identified in the video @12.46, actually when a sub bus short each other resistance will be nearly Zero not 60 ohms. Apologies for the mistake happened.
Thank for your video and for detailed explain on diagnosis. I would like to know, in mordern vehicles the DLC connector will be connected to a Gateway or BCM as OBD CAN. If my understanding is correct, Gateway or BCM will route the signal to other networks. If that is the condition, how we can do the diagnostics? Also, most of the lexuary cars comes with multiple CAN network(PT CAN, CH CAN, Body CAN and Info CAN). How we can do the diagnostics?
Hi Anto, It depends to manufacturers and their design. Some may be connected to Gateway directly or later models connected to SGW. In this case you need to check in the junction connectors or splice blocks according to the design. The key is here to understand the topology then you can decide the method of diagnosis. Please watch previous 2 videos related to CAN to have better idea for your question.
good info🤝,In the DLC Simultaneously checking the resistance and voltage will make the diagnosis a little easier,So we have an idea whether it is open or short circuit..This is just my opinion..thank u
It depends, for me resistance is enough to check the short or open circuit however as you said voltage inspection also will help. The main thing is you need to have reference data how a good voltage or resistance look like meaning the reference value will help you to identify what kind of issue in the circuit.

As I always say that we are doctors for vehicles so we have to be professional enough to handle the customer vehicle.Nowadays customers are having more knowledge than us. You are absolutely right, when we handle someone's dream or a largest investment we have to be very careful, collect all the required information to identify the failure and root cause to avoid unwanted repair, parts replacement and cost to the customer. Practice makes you perfect.

Each module has a CAN controller and Transciever. Transciever is the device ensuring and maintaining the voltage level and signal integrity.

Sir ore good wire resistance eathra ane 5ohms ore 0.5 ohms
Good wire must be less than 1 ohm.
