I just got done with mine. The display doesn't work anymore now. Do you have any ideas? Also, best video. You did a great job showing each step and making it easy to replicate
@SafetyDan101 hmmm it should work it's possible your display is out but I could be wrong id recheck the wiring and test the power to the screen. I used oled and lcd screens on different projects and sometimes they don't work after a while.
@SafetyDan101 ahh I see dam idk if I mentioned that in the video it's kinda remove only to re plug it back in the same spot. But im hyped you got it working for you! 👌🏾🙌🏾
Yes i have! Im actually dropping a video on here about that soon! Try Turing the extruder temperature up too 255° and make sure you clean the bottle well before sending it through the recreator. Lmk how that goes or if this helped friend! 🙌🏾👌🏾
We have a gcode file that we provide with the downloads 🙂 it's a lot easier and more universal than flashing firmware to the board you will find it in the Printables link
Hey! Thanks for this awesome build guide, happy to see more Recreator3D builds out in the wild! Looking forward to seeing what you create with your Pultruded PET in the future 🙂 Edit: your remix for the spooler parts does not seem to be live or the link isn't working.
I saved up few hundred bottles to recycle it myself, but now I can find petg filament at 6euro /kg. It would take 50 bottles to make 1 kg. Im considering to just throw it all away now.
@asmodeuso27 Hello friend no additional holes were drilled into the railing on this project. The screws that are mainly used to connect most of the parts to the V slot rails are the T nuts and screws. T nuts go in the Grove of the railing and you adjust insert and then tighten them when there properly aligned in the slot. Let me know if that clears things up! 🙌🏾
RIP Ender 3. Wouldn't you have been better off keeping it as a working printer and source those few parts you kept as new parts. Ender replacement parts aren't expensive.
If i had bought it new id completely agree. I actually found this ender 3 on offer up for $45 bucks and i kept all the other parts for another project im doing. I failed to mention all that in my video lol.
@@Dartwork365 Yeah it's just they're not really worth anything on the used market especially since they're really considered previous generation printers now. I honestly wouldn't recommend one as a starter to anybody because you have to learn things on an ender 3 that you just don't need to know for modern printers.
True. MY Ender 3 is my back up or work horse printer. It is definitely an old model and tons of newer advanced printers continue to come out tho. With all the new auto features and tech. In the end its good bare bones printer with a large online community.
After I printed I realized this build is ridiculous stupid. Way too many parts to print and more complicated than it needs to be. I only print the minimum to build and most definitely I won't ever build another one. Life is simple people make it complicated. That is exactly what it is with this build. You will understand once you start printing all the parts then you will cuss just like me. Don't build it . There are many more way simpler to build. There are only 3 component for all of theml. Spool motor , hot end and controllers. I also build another one way simpler than this . I hate this design. Too redundant and stupid design really!!!!!!!!
Im sorry you sound very upset my friend. But thanks for your feedback btw the design isn't mine and this is just my experience with making this machine this way. Contact the original design creators in the community Facebook link I put in the description if you wanna let them know how you feel about it. ✌🏾🙏🏽

@@Dartwork365 I figured it out. For some reason the ribbon cable is supposed to go in the slot labeled 3 on the display.

is the ender 3 ok or does it have to be the ender 3 pro?
Either
Did you print something from this? on My printer is does not feed to the extruder...

I don't know why Creality doesn't just make this machine to buy.. Oh yeah, they sell filament too.
good job! what about the firmware?
Next video ima get into all that! 👌🏾

You can do it for ecological reasons
Where are you finding petg for 6€?
like and comment for the algorithm !
Just did lol thanks !
are you supposed to drill the frame? you can't screw everything into it with only 4 holes lol

These days unfortunately original ender 3 is really aren't worth much of anything.
True they're pretty cheap ive had my original ender 3 since 2018. Its a reliable starter printer especially at its current price.
