(Testing) | Mario 85' Simulator #2

  • It's been some time, and I got back to working on this project.
    credits (materials used):
    * Mario 85 Team (sprites, some sounds)
    * Mario's Madness (sounds)
    * toadthemushroomguy12 (mx sprites)
    This is not affiliated with the original Mario 85' game. It is just a practice project of mine made in Unity.
    Most of the sprites and sounds you saw used in the video do NOT belong to me. I only use them for developing/testing purposes, and they will be replaced by original materials in the final product.

    I feel like this game could be extremely addicting with the stuff you've shown, great job! The only think I could ask for is, could you make an alternative set of sprites for his new forms from the new '85 remake? False Hero and Pipe Crawler, those ones.

      Thank you! Yes, that came to my mind as well, and I tend to replace the current sprites with the new ones soon.

      @@dryjones9715 The exact structure of it's behaviour is not finished yet, but for the basic idea: Lucas shouldn't simply run in one direction and jump over the obstacles. It needs to be more advanced than that to make the game challenging and not plain boring. So in that way, Lucas's AI will have to behave like an actual player. Meaning he'd be able to juke our player and make unpredictable moves in many ways.

      @@jmdev1 That makes sense, maybe if there's multiple paths Lucas will take one randomly and in maker mode players can decide his behavior at random points of the level. Maybe 2-player mode can even be a thing!
