Glad you enjoyed it! Can you believe that only 60 percent of the organ is playable at this time! It was damaged in the 1944 storm and only in the last few years has the restoration taken place. They still need quite a bit of cash and several more years but it will someday be fully restored. Thank you for watching.

I bet that pipe organ, while being played, registers something on the seismic instruments in New Jersey. I think I felt a slight tremor way down here in Kentucky. LOL. Thanks for sharing Jersey history. My many trips to the home office in West Orange were enlightening to say the least. My morning rides into Newark for my anesthesia preceptorship were more eye opening than a double espresso. I have fond memories of the Garden State.

WOW, is right! Imagine having the skill to be granted organist of that instrument. Humbling (unless they have a great ego!)---The old photos also added another dimension to that experience. I'll bet Jonathan Scott over in Britain would love to play on the organ. He has played on many exalted ones across the British Isles & Europe. HIs brother Tom is also very talented, and includes filming of their various venues.---(I have a hard time with artists who take liberties with the anthem. I want straight and true.)---Thank-you for this new trip to that amazing location.

A great video of a great organ! For those still wondering about that organ console in the lobby that Scott showed before the concert, I have the full "Bible" of the AC organ, and that was the 5-manual console which was designed to play the same pipes as the one to the right of the stage (the 7-manual). Both were supposed to be able to play together, but for some reason the relays between the two consoles never materialized. Having been to the Wanamaker in Philadelphia, my intents are to of course not only see but to possibly play this behemoth. 7 Manuals, 449 ranks or sets of pipes and 33,112 pipes in total!

Speaking of Stew Leonard, I always stop when driving through Connecticut. My favorite grocery store, but I don’t remember seeing free peanuts. We have a hamburger chain called Five Guys where you can help yourself to free roasted peanuts in the shell, but you have to eat them outside the restaurant due to peanut allergies.

I grew up in Ocean City a half of a block from the boardwalk on a street called Plymouth Place. It was the absolute BEST place to grow up! Also, as I had shared with you about a week or so ago I was lucky enough to hear the organ played at the old convention hall in A.C. last month (because my son graduated from Stockton and the ceremony was there) and I was sitting right directly next to it so I got to watch him play the organ as we waited for the ceremony to start. It was incredible!
