  • I bought this gadget a couple of years ago and have been using it to mark up my my golf balls with a line along the equator of the ball. One would think that with todays golf ball manufacturing technology each ball would be perfectly round and evenly balanced. Well apparently not, as the Check-GO PRO golf ball balancer finds a different equator to that marked on the ball by Titleist (and other manufacturers golf balls as well) to show that the balls have a definite axis and equator balanced at different point and the Check-GO PRO finds the same axis and equator every time. I think this could definitely be an advantage in putting to get the truest roll on the ball every time, and possibly may help in ball flight as well if you tee up the ball with the perfect orientation.

What marker are you using? It isn’t the one supplied

I've been using the same ball spinner for almost 20 years and it works great, Both for putting as well as off the tee. Tests have been done that show a longer and straighter ball flight if you align the ball using the line to aim it at your target. Works great for 20 years.

I have the Technasonic Check-Go Pro. Been using it for years and the battues last a very long time, so it's well worth the price and it works great. I spin every ball I buy before I put them in my bag. If you buy one pick up a Sharpie or two in whatever color you prefer, I use a red one for me and a Blue one for when I spin up balls for my wife.
I align. the red line when setting up a putt. I aim it where I want to start the ball and then I don't have to think of direction and speed when I putt, only have to think about speed, since I already have the line figured out with the ball. I think you will find that your putting will improve if you do the same.

How about a putting video to show the line when the ball rolls, after you putt the ball?
    Thanks for the video

I balance all my golfballs. This little machine is invaluable! The ball rolls true after balancing.

@@michaelsmart61 On earth we are constantly living with gravity, how can you make a perfect ball when weight is involved? Take a golf club and balance the shaft horizontal in the palm of one hand. With your other hand turn the shaft then let go, the club head will always point down to the floor because it has weight. But if you drop the golf club with the shaft horizontal, the club head will stay in any position that it is in when you let go. This happens because when the club is in free fall it has no weight. As long as there is weight involved you cannot make a perfect golf ball...Why not just find a liquid that the ball would float in, the heavy side will always be at the bottom? Then you mark the top with a dot.

Float Balancing a golf ball find the STATIC balance of the ball. SPIN balancing the ball finds the DYNAMIC balance of the ball. When the ball is hit you want to use the Dynamic balance not the Static balance, so the ball flies straighter or rolls true when you putt. I've done both and always use a spin balancer with every ball I buy, Forget about floating balls and go with spining them. Much better results, both off the tee and on the greens. .
