I fought my hubby for the longest time about rolling individual clothes for packing. I finally tried it and by rolling clothes vs folding you actually get way more into your suitcase!!
That's right !! I've learnt the technique when I was a teenager in Tokyo from either a friend ,or our maid ...,or both I was blown away !! It was in the early '80's !! I was doing it for a real long while ,then somehow stopped ! Not sure why ! Lol. But, I still do when packing my suit cases & my carry on .👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤💞

Great video! Thank you! I could be mistaken but your carry-on suitcase looks A LOT larger than the carry-on luggage Travel Pro sells to the public!! LOL!! It would have been interesting to hear the dimensions of your luggage. I'm not a flight attendant but you provided some very helpful packing ideas, particularly the pouches. We can squeeze them into spaces within the suitcase, rather than using more structured storage containers which take up more space. I'm thinking of buying a TravelPro Walkabout 6 Carry-On Spinner. I have the Walkabout 6 Carry-On Rollaboard, but as you noted, it would be easier to travel with the Spinner.
For makeup brushes in the holder, I cover the tops with a regular sized ziploc baggy to keep the hairs protected :) Could definitely use a gallon size if you wanted to roll them up before putting them in the container too!
So I had a morphe pallet break apart and come out all over my suitcase... And yes you don't want that to happen. I keep my pallets in a Ziplock baggie from now on
Good advice! I like steripods but last year I bought a travel razor. It’s a Venus snap, it has its own case, it’s tiny, but fits all of the Venus razors, and does a great job for its size! There are also smaller straighteners out there for travel but you’ve got a lot of hair so, I get why you’d want a big one.
I own a travel pro carry on and love it. I almost got a spinner over a roller board but you loose space by doing that. So although the convenience of one is nice, space is nicer. :)
Hey!! I fly for a regional in the Pacific Northwest and we also use the exact same Travel Pro bag and hook. They DO fit in our "baby jet (E175)" overhead bins. As crew for our Q400 turbo prop flights our bags go in a stand up storage compartment for crew only. They can fit in the over head but only if they aren't over packed.
I’ve just found your videos, and I just love them! Especially, the ones from Charlotte, where I grew up, and still have family. I’ve noticed in a couple of videos now, that you’ve talked about using and packing too much makeup. I can definitely relate, because I do the same thing!

I was thinking the same thing! You could even put it in the empty laundry bag. Even on the return flight, too, so that the dirty clothes can help cushion it, so it wouldn’t break. If it did, though, you’d still just have to wash the clothes, anyway.
Thanks so much for all the information & tips !! 😀 But, I.just can't help myself telling you that there's something weird about your eye make up ...lashes ...to me it looks very uneven !! Or is it just me !!? Lol Your right eye got fuller / longer lashes than your left one !! So ,your one eye looks so much bigger than the other one in this !! I know we all got uneven sizes & length when it comes to our body parts & facial parts !But,I believe you forgot to use false lashes on your left eye ,or used wrong one !!? What is your tip on using multiple airlines at once in trips at once which have different luggage restrictions on sizes !!? I am thinking about purchasing a nomad bento bag ,but Virgin atlantic & wizz air all have smaller sizes .( I am thinking of using it as a personal item & one carry on ) ,looks like I might have to use it as carry on on Virgin & check in my carry on ,then pay for the bento bag as a checked baggage with Wizz air ...? I really wish if all airlines got the same size ,it's really for their $$$ sakes ,not for a safety purpose !! Obviously !! Just a question. After you have been through tsa can u buy liquid things at the airport so that when u go up onto the plane you have more than 1000ml of liquid?
I’m wondering.. why not put toiletries in a bag too? Where is your lotion,shampoo & conditioner? I never thought to put clothes in bag or shoes in a bag but I love it! I’m ordering bags now. Thank you ! I keep my dirty separate but hotels always have plastic laundry bags, I use those.

Yay welcome!! My bag can definitely get heavy pretty fast as well, I think that's just part of the lifestyle haha! And usually I workout in my converse as long as I'm just weight lifting and not doing cardio, so I'll just put them in my shoe bag alongside my heels or inflight shoes! It also helps because I can wear them while wandering around on a layover!

I don't have a specific jacket I love to use to recommend yet, but usually I try to pack stuff I can layer up as well as a foldable jacket with a hood attached (I heard Eddie Bauer has a good one). Jackets can be a bit tricky because they can take up so much room in your suitcase!
I was surprised to see you not use a washbag for all the things you put in the mesh pocket. For me thats an essential, just grab the bag and go to the bathroom. Also I save a huge amount of space getting rid of makeup wipes and buying a Face Halo. Its bomb. Love your vids, newly subscribed.
@@sweetpjeb23 washbag is a certain bag used to put the products you use for shower, same thing essentially as a makeupbag, but is usually waterproof from the inside. What I was referring to was her throwing everything in the mesh pocket and not using a separate bag for it.
She's a flight attendant so she doesn't have to follow the same rules regarding liquids and stuff. But the suitcase itself I'm pretty sure meets international size standards for carry-ons.
Some people really like them, especially if they're taking their own shampoo and conditioners and stuff. So you may really like one, I guess it just depends on your needs but that bag does hold a lot of stuff cause I didn't even have to expand it at all.
Love your videos very informational. How fly for the first time in my life February 3 -5 and I was petrified before watching your videos. You have definitely eased some of my worries. I think you for that!!!! Sidenote I am always looking for a good deodorant as I feel like sometimes my current deodorant gives out on me do you like the one that you are currently using?
Both companies I've worked for the uniform has not been provided. They take a small deduction out of your paycheck until it's completely paid off. Luggage for my regional came out of my own pocket, but luggage at my mainline has been provided and we are provided with a new suitcase every three years.
@@maggiedelong4942 I can't remember the exact brand name. I know I bought it at TJ Maxx, but honestly I would recommend getting a TravelPro suitcase. That's the brand most mainlines use and they are pretty durable for the amount of abuse we put them through.
Kat Nesbitt did you ever have trouble fitting your carry-on in a CRJ? So many luggage reviews say even a 20 inch won’t fit, but do the FA’s have a special spot for their luggage that a 20 inch rollerboard will fit in? The training materials that I received for my CJO said that I must have compliant luggage when I arrive for training and I’m afraid I’ll buy something that’s too big. I’m having trouble matching their measurements with any travelpro bag.
@@maggiedelong4942 On certain aircrafts the bins can be smaller. For flight attendants they should give you dimensions of your suitcase so that it should fit on the planes, for passengers most companies won't even let you bring your luggage on the plane anymore. Mine was either 20-21 inch and I always found a way to make it work. The trick is not to pack anything in the front pocket of the suitcase or pack so much that you have to expand the suitcase out.

I do this at home in my drawers too. I couldnt fit anymore tank tops in my drawer, rolled them, now I have room for twice as much.

one thing you may want to add is a travel steamer, it has come in handy for me on most of my trips.

You could put your eye shadow and contour palette inside a plastic ziplock bag and put it in your spare handbag

I love space bags for that very reason. I used them inside my packing cubes, to fit more clothing in them.

Usually not as a flight attendant I do not, but normal passengers do.

I don't have a specific jacket I love to use to recommend yet, but usually I try to pack stuff I can layer up as well as a foldable jacket with a hood attached (I heard Eddie Bauer has a good one). Jackets can be a bit tricky because they can take up so much room in your suitcase!

I was surprised to see you not use a washbag for all the things you put in the mesh pocket. For me thats an essential, just grab the bag and go to the bathroom. Also I save a huge amount of space getting rid of makeup wipes and buying a Face Halo. Its bomb. Love your vids, newly subscribed.

@@sweetpjeb23 washbag is a certain bag used to put the products you use for shower, same thing essentially as a makeupbag, but is usually waterproof from the inside. What I was referring to was her throwing everything in the mesh pocket and not using a separate bag for it.

She's a flight attendant so she doesn't have to follow the same rules regarding liquids and stuff. But the suitcase itself I'm pretty sure meets international size standards for carry-ons.

I know flight attendants can for sure! I believe passengers can as well but I would double check with TSA regulations first just in case!
Do you think a toiletry bag would be handy or do you think it would take up too much space in the bag?
Some people really like them, especially if they're taking their own shampoo and conditioners and stuff. So you may really like one, I guess it just depends on your needs but that bag does hold a lot of stuff cause I didn't even have to expand it at all.

Both companies I've worked for the uniform has not been provided. They take a small deduction out of your paycheck until it's completely paid off. Luggage for my regional came out of my own pocket, but luggage at my mainline has been provided and we are provided with a new suitcase every three years.
What size and brand of luggage did you buy for a regional airline? I’m having trouble finding the right size.
@@maggiedelong4942 I can't remember the exact brand name. I know I bought it at TJ Maxx, but honestly I would recommend getting a TravelPro suitcase. That's the brand most mainlines use and they are pretty durable for the amount of abuse we put them through.
Kat Nesbitt did you ever have trouble fitting your carry-on in a CRJ? So many luggage reviews say even a 20 inch won’t fit, but do the FA’s have a special spot for their luggage that a 20 inch rollerboard will fit in? The training materials that I received for my CJO said that I must have compliant luggage when I arrive for training and I’m afraid I’ll buy something that’s too big. I’m having trouble matching their measurements with any travelpro bag.
@@maggiedelong4942 On certain aircrafts the bins can be smaller. For flight attendants they should give you dimensions of your suitcase so that it should fit on the planes, for passengers most companies won't even let you bring your luggage on the plane anymore. Mine was either 20-21 inch and I always found a way to make it work. The trick is not to pack anything in the front pocket of the suitcase or pack so much that you have to expand the suitcase out.

Haha I've been getting quite a few makeup requested videos so maybe I'll try to plan one! And yes I do! I just bring my universal converter to make sure I have a way to plug it in!
