I hope this answer makes sense. West: go into park, turn left, go down the first set of stairs, as soon as you can turn right, snag a table there. There are fewer tables in that area, and it's not all the way down. East: go in, turn right, right past the lockers but close to the fence to the parking lot. Secluded, covered, but not too far to lug the stuff.

I have a 6&3yr old, Where is the best place to grab a table in Galveston or does it matter? Can you wear hats Down the rides? I also can’t find the spot on the site that tells what rides are closed.
We like to set up right inside the entrance by the wave pool entrance, under the cover. Yes to hats. The operating calendar will tell you which sections are open. For Galveston, I think the Lagoon Luxe cabanas are the most central location. For New Braunfels, the Blastenhoff Premium is in the East section. For the West Section, none of the Cabahnas are very convenient but Wunderbahna is the best. For seclusion check out the beach cabanas at Galveston and the Riverbend in New Braunfels. Hope that helps!
