    It's stories like this that make Luigi suddenly more relatable. The more they pop up, it makes me think, "I get it. I'd rather it not come to this...but I get it."

    1. If you live in the U.S., don't get sick.
    2. If you get sick, have excellent corporate health insurance or be a government employee.
    3. If you don't have insurance, have a fortune of your own (millions).
    4. If you're broke, good luck.
    5. Free Luigi.

God forbid, you should have a health emergency, it will leave you minimum thousands in debt.

    Why did the Insurance Co. stop covering his inhaler and did they notify him that it was no longer covered???? My insurance company never notified me when they stopped coverage on two of my meds., I had to hear it from the pharmacy. Unlike this poor young man, I was just lucky that neither med. was a life saving med. Prayers to the family for their loss.

    You can tell that analyst has been paid off by the lobby groups. Just because you are buying a long term inhaler doesn't mean it did not effect his survival. Literally stopped using long term inhaler, then died 5 days later. That analyst was ridiculous in his analysis. That's like saying, not having water/food long term, and saying well they could have had an emergency dose therefore not having food/water for 5 days did not effect their survival. Host didn't do a good job pressing for questions either. Poor journalism and poor analyst. What has america come to? Yay capitalism! Profit over people! And it's only gonna get worse with lobby elites being buddy buddy with trump now. Umm you know tariffs increase prices right?

He is a very selfish person who is consumed with all of his billions of dollars and he has no clue with what and how our country has been struggling to just get by and survive with social security (and many other low income families. Honestly, we, the voters are to blame squarely. A previous administration was trying to get affordable health care for ALL Americans. Unfortunately, the other side politicized this issue and this is where we are now. If it was up to the current administration, things would be worse and it's going to get worse. Suing is not going to yield any outcome, and no amount of money would ever bring him back alive.
    It really should not get to this but this is it. Go and vote to get affordable health care for ALL.

      Im on epilepsy meds and its the generic brand so my other options might not have the same effect and control my seizures. Cant immediately go off these meds or ill go into SUDEP. My neurologist would have probably given me something different were this to happen. Question is would it be successful in controlling these? Thats a gamble I dont wanna take. I know what youre saying. Problem is, this solution doesn't work across the board. My medication [Im on a lot] is free thanks to Medicaid. If it gets defunded and im kicked off....idk what will happen

    • @1packatak
      @1packatak 10 часов назад

      @ if you are on generic, you should be fine. This mess usually happens with a name brand med. if it is under patent, then it is usually covered. However if there is a generic, then the insurance will not cover the name brand unless there is a specific reason. In your case, there are some anti seizure meds that only the actual brand works for certain people, and the generic does not. In that case the Physician can provide documentation to the insurance plan so the brand name med is covered.
      Also Medicaid and Medicare are not going anywhere. What is happening is they are trying to purge all the fraud and corruption from the programs. In one report they found enough fraud that most Social Security beneficiaries could potentially get an extra $20,000 a year. And that’s just one area they looked at. It’s the same in Medicaid.

    It's insane that a pharmacy can charge hundreds of dollars more for a medication when it's not covered by insurance. The cost to the general public should never be greater than the sum of the copay and the insurance. After all, they're getting a direct cash payment and do not need to refer anything to the insurance company with payment delayed or complications.
