11:15 I‘m not sure if it’s just me, but that looks exactly like a blown up version of an iPhone app. Just done by the developer, not zoomed. A lot of unused space and missed opportunity. 😅
I used the garmin trainer for a while and it’s very similar to Runna. The app ask you a few questions about the goals and current performance and it build you a plan, but I agree that the highlight with Runna (which I’m currently using) is the strength added feature. And the best part is that the garmin watch can guide you through the session similar to the Apple Watch or change to other screens (hearth rate, altitude, etc)
That's what I wanted to know. Which one would you recommend between Runna and Garmin Trainer? I have a half marathon on April 28th, and I'm hesitating between one app or the other to prepare for the remaining 12 weeks. Both seem promising.
which one did you end up choosing? I have a weeks trial with Runna, but I'm really not sure if I should spend 100+ euros per year for an app. @@WJazz89
The Garmin integration is a bit different and you can customise the data screens to include HR and a bunch of other metrics. Seems strange you can’t do that with the Apple…
Thanks for this. Tempted to sign up. I already subscribe to Strava, so it's disappointing they don't have better training plans. Their plans mostly seem 10 weeks which doesn't seem very flexible or adaptive.
My issue with this app is that I wore at the same time as my Nike run app, and it had me running miles at three minutes faster! The tracking is just way out. Same with distance.
@@coolkidirish it was outside. I had Runna on my Apple Watch and Nike Run on my phone. I was coming up 0.2 miles short on Runna for every mile on Nike run. And it was saying I was doing seven minute mile splits. I’ve never run a seven minute mile in my life! Whereas Nike run had me doing solid 10 minute miles. Runna had my first one at a 10 minute mile, then an 8 then a seven. Again, I’ve never sped up in my life!! Basically on my 10 mile run it had me come up over 1.5 mile short and WAY faster than I am. And that’s just something I can’t use in a running plan
@@jackieafc Are you POSITIVE that it wasn't a bug showing you KMs instead of miles? A 10 minute mile is a 6 minute KM so the differences you are describing almost line up. Also, I've had this happen on my Garmin for no apparent reason... One day it just told me that I was doing 9:30 per lap, but it was because the laps had switched to miles and I normally use KM.
Hello Sam can’t wait to see you today. I would be so excited if you did the Chicago Triathlon - you’ve built up such a great aerobic base from running that you could certainly train for it with a little less than 7 weeks to go
Just downloaded it on a trial and I already hate that you can't skip more than one week at a time. It forces you into templates but doesn't take into consideration not everyone is working on the same clock when they sign up. I should be able to choose my own training plan and it penalizes you because you didn't use it from the beginning. Plus I don't consider myself elite but their advanced plan is not enough miles.
Good video. Just a tip, been told you should avoid doing static stretching as a warm up before running. Do more dynamic stretches like leg swings etc.
You seem like a very genuine guy
Thank you for the review.
Very good review.
halo bro...how to change plan ruuna apps

I am using Runna and am loving it. I noticed you have not published any videos for a month. Are you going to continue the RUclips journey?

Late to the party, great video!!

Oooh that sounds interesting- Not surprised that there’s a limitation on an apple device… 😅
Great video, been looking to see a honest and clear review of the app and this was really useful.
The was helpful in deciding on the premium! Thank you
Love the video 🙌🏼 Keep up the great content!
Does it talk to you and coach you along the way? I’m a new runner and I think that would help more
Great video! I wondered if you've used asics runkeeper and whether you think it's as good as runna. Thanks

Hey, what kit are you wearing in this video?
It was amazing! This was the kind of App I was looking for. Thank you
My issue with this app is that I wore at the same time as my Nike run app, and it had me running miles at three minutes faster! The tracking is just way out. Same with distance.
Can I ask was this outdoor running or treadmill running? I know some watches / phones / apps struggle to get accurate distances on treadmills.

@@daysandwords Yes I’m sure.
No lie I have the exact same issues now with the mileage accuracy
Hi,
Really liked your review! Just wondering, I am more into trail running do you think runna would still be a good app for that as well? Thanks!
Have you ever considered doing a triathlon?
Very helpful - thanks. Hope to see you back posting soon.
I get heart rate alerts when ussing the Runna app but wearing my Garmin.

I agree, Sam. Triathlons are such a great sport and mix it up - even better if you have friends that are doing the same race!
Great review. Thank you. BTW, your feet sound like they are slapping the ground on this video. 🤣
Does this app work with treadmill running?
Yes
GREAT VIDEO. LOVE THE RUNNA APP. HOW DO YO MONITOR HEART RATE? DO YOU WER A CHEST STRAP?
Sam you should follow in my footsteps and do a triathlon
I heard the Chicago triathlon is great

Excellent review. Thanks.
Hi, can you let me know the model of the jacket please?
Does it work with fitbit watch. Also what shoes are you wearing
They are novablast 3
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Does it speak to you?
if you have your headphones connected to your watch it’ll speak to you throughout your workout!! if you’re on pace, need to speed up/slow down etc
Coming from an engineer, are you an engineer?
Jk you say you work on an IPad, you aren’t an engineer!
Great video, I’m very interested in Runna
Mate nice video, thanks I’ll download the App
Video starts about 45 seconds in.
So is premium necessary, or just has added features?
Premium is necessary to have the tailored plan. It comes with a week trial!
Awesome video! Been thinking of getting premium once my trial runs out and this was very helpful!

12:20 does Runna provide feedback on running form and wrap that into the training plan for running form activities?
video too long mate - get to the point
