    Funny that there are so many recordings I love where I find this guy Daniel Lanois is involved.. His own solo record is pretty great too. True talent.

      Kinda like Rick Reuben pops up here and there except Lanois is actually a musician and songwriter, and....well, he's Canadian. =D

    I saw him in Toronto. The lights were up, stage hands setting up, a guy walks out and says: "Hello". We went nuts. He said "we're just going to sit around and jam some songs we're working on for the next album, like we always do, but with you. You OK with that?"
    We went more nuts!
    Then they did the whole SO album. Then they did a normal "Peter Gabriel concert". We were so lucky!

    Would love to see Gabriel and Lanois work together on a musical project once again...a magical team that has produced magical musical results in the past. I say let history repeat itself.

    Peter Gabriel is an incredible writer and singer. All the way back to 'From Genesis to Revelation' and 'Trespass', it only gets better to this day.

    " l'ambiance " , les regards complice , la satisfaction de se comprendre . Parfois j'aimerais pouvoir me transformer en ptite "araignée " le temps d'une répé de mon fils et de voir ses moments ou enfin ça y est le morceau est trouvé ect , bref leur chipé un peu de cette complicité si indispensable à chaque musicien, mais non évidemment pas possible héhéhé

    Shame there's no available studio edition of this song whose ending is miles better than the long fade out in the album.... Lanois and Gabriel are genius ..

    A creative peak is a very interesting idea to stop projects running over into that false strive for perfection. Indeed, it feels like PG might appreciate some of Daniel's assistance again to help bring in all the unheard material that may get overworked and we are all dying to see released?

    Daniel Lanois worked with all the best rock star/group of the world, has Gabriel or U2... I don't understand why he's not more celeb...

      +Vincent C Because he is a real musician, and a sought after producer. He never wanted much fame for himself, instead he focused on collaborating with world class artists. But his own albums and projects are musical gems.

    Lanois explanation about the meaning of the song was completely scoofed! It's written to one of his daughters (Mel I think)
    who had stopped talking to him after an argument.

    is this part of a longer doc ? there's also some footage of him doing some vocalese for a Passion track and his hair is '73 length...I'm a big Genesis/Floyd collector if anyone trades on Yeeshkul and Genesis-Movement...
