If you try Luna on a leash it's better to use a harness rather than a collar....the weight of the leash doesn't bother them as bad if not around their neck.

@@ThisAlaskaLife The neighbours' cat used to be one to roam free until he vanished for half a year and was picked up two towns over. As of then he is being walked on a leash as he wants out
@@ThisAlaskaLife my cats hate collars and harnesses, some cats love them. I just built a catio for mine to keep them safe outside.
Lauren, don't worry about your home, it's not that messy. It's called "real life" and with four boys it's hard to keep any home clean. (I know because I raised two boys myself. But now their 36&34 and out of their own with families)

You could also make peanut butter and jelly and freeze them and then they’re thawed by time that the kids eat lunch

So glad to see Everett shopping with you and also his brother Weston. The food up there is so expensive compared to here in Kentucky. Your grocery hauls will not be the same without Everett now that he going to school.

Yougurt lasts for months when they are on sale get them and stock up, you can stack a lot of them if you take them out of Thr box.....

I was truly interested in the Pistachio creme. Never saw that before. I looked it up, looks like in some cooking corners that is a delicacy. I love the taste of Pistachio. I am going to try finding that for sure.
Loved having Weston on the shopping trip. It was funny how he tried to sneak stuff in the cart. Wonder what Everett will be like when he starts to wander. Any day now he is not gonna fit in the front.
I feel the same way Lauren about End of summer. I spent the whole day cleaning and preparing for leaves to fall, weed wacking, etc. I was about to pull up stuff and I stopped and said, enjoy it for a little longer, don't get ahead of yourself. I am not ready for Halloween just yet. I have so enjoyed going for rides in the country to see the Corn and soybeans, it is still green but just starting to slightly turn golden. The bugs are humming loud, insanely loud. The Hummingbirds are just swarming. It is hard to believe that in about one month, the whole landscape will look different. It has been a happy summer. Enjoy the Sun Lauren while you can, I always do my best brainstorming just looking out into the Horizon. Balancing it all is the challenge. I love that you catch yourself and pull on the Brake a little bit. Your such a joy, love you guys so much. Thanks for the reminder

Great haul, we are back to school here in Ireland so back to packing lunches too ❤ Something to note is that unless the gummies are made to be broken (like tablets that have a line through them) then cutting them means there isn't an even distribution of the medication. So cutting a 5mg gummy in half could mean there is 4mg in one half and 1mg in the other or even the whole 5mg in one half and none in the other! Just in case you wonder why it works great sometimes and not so great other times 😅😅

I actually looked for the women's wool socks today at my Costco because I could hear you saying how good they are. I didn't find them, though. I hope you get them soon! I almost bought some soft ankle socks but talked myself out of it. I bought some melatonin gummies a week ago because of you and while my insomnia is still here, they are helping more than anything else I have tried including regular melatonin pills. So big thank you for sharing that! My cats are indoors only, but Zazu had kidney failure for a year before he died and I really wanted to make sure he had the best time possible so I did get him a harness and a leash so he could go outside with me . I don't think he would have ever learned to walk on a leash like a dog does, but it did give him a few feet of freedom without me worrying about his safety. You should try with Luna but I strongly recommend the harness to go with it. Have a great week!
Wow back to school already, I miss those days my 2 are all grown up 29 and 22 lol. Both still at home mind so my shopping is for 4 adults. I worked out the difference in cost between Alaska and the Uk, its on a level playing field for most things, the cost of living has gone through the roof here, one thing was butter we pay £5 for a 750g tub, crazy expensive. Great to see the boys helping out, you all look so well and happy xx

The sides have the seam on the outside and rub on my arm all day long. I kept thinking something was wrong. Just a heads up. The shirt looks good, just feels a bit weird to wear.

Hello Hamm Family. Another great video Lauren. I remember those busy days just before school started, except I homeschooled our son. Couldn't imagine doing it with 4, although my sister-in-love did it with 6 (7 boys total but sadly Caleb passed away at 4yo from leukemia). Still, preparing for the school year can be exhausting. Take time to relax your body and mind, and always remember to: just breathe. One accomplishment a day is better than none, yet sometimes none is a good thing. I'll be missing lil Everett once he starts kindergarten. Have an awesome year Everett, Weston, Bennett and Hunter. I'm off to make sweet potato treats for Maggie (dog). Make some spinach balls and Challah Bread, fold some laundry, wash some dishes and take care of the litterbox (joy). Oh, by the way, when Luna was on screen, both our cats, Dakota and Ash, stopped to watch her, meowed "hello" and pawed at her on the TV. Too cute. Have a Blessed and Happy Day ❤️
Recipe, if interested:
Equal parts Mr Yoshida's and Panda Express Orange Sauce (or equivalent). Pour into ziplock bag or dish and mix thoroughly. Add in steak (or meat of choice) and coat completely. Set in fridge to marinate 4 hours or overnight. Grill to your liking. Enjoy 😋
I use ribeye or tenderloin for me and in a separate bag, I use chicken for my Hubby (he has the Alpha Gal allergy, so no mammals for him). It's good on fish too.

If you’re talking about the merino wool socks, they have them on the Costco website. (I realize that getting stuff shipped to Alaska can be prohibitive, but hopefully that means they will get them in store again this year.🤞🏼)
Those Halloween eyeball bombs would make it good to pass out to kids for Halloween. Put them in a baggie and print off instructions and tie them to the baggie. It's something different than candy. Or you can add some candy to the baggie too! Just a thought.
Stroopwaffles are so good! You can sit them on top of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and they'll warm up and get gooey. I recommend them!
I hope they have a great school year. Check Fred Meyer this week because Kroger has a weekday sale for 2.50 for waterloo limit of 5 with digital coupon.

I have two cats, Theo & Ollie, my two furry terrorists xD I had to hide all my plants in the living room and lock the door because they liked to destroy them :P She looks so calm compared to mine! My dietician (i am on a very strict diet where I need all the vitamins I can get) said that Gummie any kind of med isn't very reliable as the medicine isn't in the gummie, it is what is sprayed on the outside. So there is really no way to be sure you are getting what the label says as it can rub off or transfer. I am a grown woman eating flinstone chewables! lol PS I want a pantry tour! It looks lovely from where you are standing! Maybe a "put groceries away with me" vlog?
My first time watch is the Price is higher at your Costco in Alaska because 6.99 for a bag of sweet peppers is very high

at home its my hubby myself n our 30 yr old daughter she loves toast lol i keep min of 12 lbs in my small freezer at all times. for one i dont know when other kids are going to pop in . since we have 7 had 8 1 passed n 19 grands n 1great we just nvr know lol n my 2 grandsons live up tge road always want somethong baked to eat lol so it a staple we judt ordered a new upright frezzer so ill have to stock it up now 1 whoke shelft in door will dec to butter lol

The problem with a garden harvest vlog is that we have been harvesting as things have been ready and eating it all along the way. I will show more of the garden in a Fall video very soon but it may be a wimpy harvest because we have eaten a lot already!

I save all my chicken bones I put with or w/o veggies n seasoning n put in instapot set 4hrs on pressure cook n bout 3 hrs in I put 3 more hours on it n man I get the best bone broth . I made without anything but bones for dogs n with veggies n seasonings for us freeze some or put in jars n store in fridge n use through week
You keep saying the crunchy rollers are good. I have seen them before but they didn’t look good to me, now I have to try them. I also want to try the fruit leather.

I'm not a fan of oatmilk. It's like liquid oatmeal for sure LOL. I'm an almond milk person. Coconut milk is best for yogurts!

We have Fred Myer ( Kroger Affiliate) but you would be shocked by the prices there! Alaska is just expensive because everything has to be shipped here!
The prices are horrendous. However you get some healthy food for their school lunches.

Got an issue with your kids watching and relying on their electronic devices GIVE THEM AWAY or hide them. I Didn’t have a cell phone until I was 12-13 but that didn’t last long. I played outside when I was a younger I remember my childhood CLEARLY. It’s sad todays children won’t say the same thing. If I have kids I’m gunna turn into my parents my mom mostly and just SAY NO and NO MEANS NO don’t give in either even if they throw a temper tantrum. STAND YOUR GROUND.
We don’t have smart phones or video games around here for our kids. Thanks for your perspective, it’s a good reminder! I am so thankful that my kids know how to play outside and enjoy life without electronics. I’m also really grateful for a few minutes of quiet when they do get some computer time.
Melatonin can cause a boy to develop breast looking boobies. My nephew Aaron developed breast and come to find out it was because of the Melatonin my sister said. I'm not 100% but maybe look into it.🤗🤗🤗
