As a side note, I excluded all B&M dive coasters because although I love them, they all feel pretty much the same so I didn't want half this list to literally just be dive coasters lol
You could have just bunched all the dived into one spot lol 1. X2 2. Shiekra 3. Railbazer 4. Hangtime 5. Twisted Colossus 6. Hulk 7. Mako 8. Ghostrider 9. OG colossus 10. Viper(SFMM)
X2 is simply demented, but in a good way. I experienced that face first free fall in the front row on my first ride. Haven’t ridden any of the others on this list, though they’re on my bucket list. Surprised you didn’t mention Sunday the ride….oh wait. Can’t exactly count the fall back down that tower as a drop. Good weightless feeling though 😂
Awesome list! I wish I could put X2 on my list, but I’ve only ever ridden it 3 times ever. It’s so short and chaotic that I never feel like I actually remember any of the elements, I just know I get off very happy with the experience. My personal favorites are: 5. Skyrush - as violent as you say, just nuts. 4. RailBlazer - my stomach left my body, but it’s kinda short 3. B&M gigas - free fall that never ends 2. El Toro - rather than free fall, feels like you are getting dragged to an abyss 1. Raging Bull - best of both worlds. The pre drop provides a ridiculous amount of yeet, then a sustained drop after that yeet. Even the biggest detractors of this ride acknowledge how awesome the first drop is (in row 9 that is)
@@M-NL2 I unfortunately live 3,000 miles from LA, so idk how soon that will be. However I do agree it is one of a kind. Other than Fury, what are your biggest US bucket list rides at this point? (Yeah Ik it’s random)
That's a really solid list right there, my only objection is Skyrush being too low! One that I've been on that I think is extremely underrated is Rampage. In the back, that's the closest to an El Toro type drop I've gotten on a woodie!
Cannibal at Lagoon should be on here. It takes you up an elevator lift inside of a tower over 200 feet tall. Then it brings you out on the outside edge and plunges you down a 208 foot first drop at 116 degrees into an underground tunnel. I want to say it’s the fifth steepest in the world.
My favourite drops I've ridden in chronological order are Millennium Force in the back car, Behemoth in the back car, El Toro in the back car and Raging Bull in the back car.
I’ve only been on 16 coasters altogether, with only one hyper (PMBO at Blackpool). Of those few, my top 3 (for drops) are: Galactica (B&M flyer) Big One (Arrow hyper) Oblivion (B&M dive)
@@M-NL2 You won’t notice Fury is taller or faster than Orion the drops feel identical however the rest of Fury is far better. Fury is basically Orion’s final form
@@wisdumbhaswon1501 Oh yeah since making this video I did get to experience Fury and I love it so much! Currently my favorite giga and my 3rd favorite coaster overall!
My Top 10 First Drops in no particular order: - Iron Rattler - X2 - Fury 325 - Time Traveler (In Back Row) - Cannibal - Sky Rush - El Toro - Millennium Force - Orion - Iron Gwazi Also considered: Maverick, I-305, RailBlazer, Wonder Women (SFFT), Stunt Pilot, Goliath (SFG America),
How would you rate Nitro? Recently (a few days ago) I went to SFGA for the 2nd time ever, and although both Batman and Jersey Devil were running disgustingly rough and pretty much everything else was closed, I rode Nitro on the back row for the first time and that first drop was just breathtaking. I really felt like I was gonna die! I live in Chile so we don't really have any remotely big coasters here (all we have is a Boomerang and a Vekoma SLC) and I've not been to any other big park aside from Great Adventure, so I imagine pretty much anything from this list would be way more insane than my experience with Nitro. I did ride El Toro once, back in May 2022, but it wasn't a great experience since we had just had lunch, I wasn't at all anticipating it to be an intense coaster, I got stapled as well as being on the front, so I honestly didn't enjoy that first and only ride. If I get a chance to visit SFGA again when El Toro is open, I will most definitely ride it again (and in the back seat!)
Goliath is a tricky thing lmao. SFMM is bad, SFFT is just an inverted drop, SFGAm is insane. My two underrated calls: -Raging Bull. That predrop in the back row is insane. I wish they made their modern hypers with a predrop. -Tennessee Tornado. Actual ejector on an Arrow thanks to the predrop and bunny hill, and oh yeah it's enclosed in a tunnel. The reward is what is foot by foot the best Arrow looper
I actually prefer drops with a super wide crest since it feels like you keep getting steeper and steeper and it makes the stomach dropping feeling super strong. That’s why el toro has my favorite drop (also because of the long trains)
Looks like we share some in our Top 10 Lists! Here's my top 10 drops list (Note: have not been to SFMM or any non-Florida east coast parks) 1. Maverick 2. RailBlazer 3. Outlaw Run 4. X2 has got such a unique first drop! Honestly the best part of the ride in my opinion! Hopefully you're able to experience it again soon!

6 might seem low, but then again that's 6 out of 150+ coasters so I think it's pretty high for Skyrush 😂

3) Skyrush
4) Fury 325
5) Intimidator 305

Skyrush back row and Candymonium back row are incredible for their first drop.

jk i know some people love those lol
what about leviathan and fury
El toro, outlaw run, and Wonder Womans drop really broke my stomach. 💀💀💀

Literally the worst first drop on a roller coaster taller than 200 feet 😂
That drop feels like your riding a bike down the hill

Skyrush backrow left wing drop is absolutely untouchable IMO. Nothing will ever compare to it. Most holy sh!t moment on any coaster…..
