That was me in 6th grade. Heard the 8th graders talking about it at lunch and I wanted to be cool with them. My parents hesitantly bought it and I remember getting a drink after loading it up to the menu. Came back to the opening movie where you see Isaac getting torn apart and thinking "holy fuck, what'd I just see...?"
I eventually summoned up the courage and played it, I felt like the bravest kid in school after I managed to beat it
I was in second grade, just got an xbox 360, playing Halo Reach and Black ops 1 in 2011 and I was at home playing Halo after school and it was already late. My mom for some reason out of kindness when she left work went to gamestop and asked the clerk what game he recommended for the xbox 360. Im sitting there playing halo when my mom opens my bedroom door and I look back and shes holding a gamestop bag and I burst with excitement and I was like “You went to gamestop after work?!?!” She tells me how she wanted to get me something and she pulls Dead Space 2 out of the bag. God I fucking love that game. The “Put a needle in your eye” portion blew me away when I was that little. Such a good way to instill anxiety with gameplay and setting.

In MK you bleed way more than what the average person can bleed in a single round from punches alone and get bones visually broken and be fine. In doom most of that same amount of blood gets shown from finishers and explosions. Even than it’s a ton less
MK’s blood and gore is considered so overdone and exaggerated that it’s basically considered cartoony and it literally exists for that. Pretty sure you can get away with playing doom with blood turned off and barely see a difference

I'm not hating, but I feel like it's odd that they added him to a kid's game as a skin. Oh boy, this is gonna be an interesting conversation with my baby cousin about what horror was for me as a kid.
Also, yes, Dead Space was the face of horror when I was in late elementary school and early middle school (before FNAF which released my 7th grade year). I remember loving Dead Space dearly in 6th grade when my parents hesitantly bought it, so much that I even remember impressing my fellow classmates when I sketched the severed hand you see on the cover art.
God, remembering the original game makes me feel old now, I'm 23 so it's a form of nostalgia seeing one of my favorite survival horror games get a great remake

I have not played fortnite in many years, but i still have no idea why people get sooo mad when their favorite game gets a crossover. doom eternal, witcher 3, gow and dead space are all some of my favorite games, and honestly its a good thing that these games are getting more exposure and hopefully bringing more people to play them. people get angry just cause they dont like to see kratos dancing and ignore the fact that fortnite gives an overall positive impact.

My only issue is that they deny a cool crossover on grounds of violence and then add characters from incredibly violent media. Rick n Morty, halo, doom, pretty sure destiny, god of war, and the Witcher, now dead space.

I love the 99 bot mode its a great mode that I use with my nephews to refine their right thumbstick control better, and how to handle themselves better in the heat of the fight and its nice for them to have a longer period of time to aim and shoot cuz they dont get knocked instantly by the non sweaty bots... They have improved alot due to the 99 practice bot mode and now they are much more confident and calm when entering actual fights in the battle royale mode (we do zero build)

Well the reason why we can have isaac instead of mileena here is that, while isaac does maul his enemies in a brutal fashion is not his main objective unlike Mileena who enjoys the slaughter.

tbh it would be wrong actually everything is wrong, dead space is pronounced as one of the most terrifying games to date, and some of the reasons were because of the enemies themselfs, besides why the hell would epic games even add horror movie and horror game characters into the game, like imagine a innocent nice kid just playing fortnite for the first time and then just seeing a random cool looking skin called Isaac Clarke and bought it but then wondered that the name seemed too humane for a fortnite character and decided to search it up then found the game dead space and then he just sees absolute terror, they literally did this with Alien Isolation too, and the fact that the only things that my classmates play and know is pubg freefire and fortnite and they just ask me about it and say its official for fortnite it owns isaac clarke like i just get annoyed by that shit, and keep in mind im the only one in my class who plays actual good games instead of kids games or games that are popular like gta 5 i play gory horror games and many other things. so its like hell
