Pretty high on the torque there for just two on board, as far as I could tell two on board. Was it heavy on fuel or something? The EC120 is a nice aircraft, I love them, but I've heard that with just 376 kW/504 shp from the single Turbomeca Arrius 2F that they are a bit underpowered when carrying 3 to 4 passengers, any appreciable amount of fuel for a decent range, and any baggage or anything in the rear. This was just two on board, that I could tell, and it looked like a lot of power was being used. I wonder what Eurocopter/Airbus's logic is with not going with a more powerful engine like one of the EC135's more powerful Arrius 2B2's with 472 kW/633 shp, or with the EC130's Arriel 2B1 at 632 kW/847 shp? I would prefer my passengers not to have to be anorexic for me to have a little extra power to work with. I wouldn't mind seeing a new twin EC120/H120 with two Arrius 2F's, or even two Rolls Royce 250 C20B's at 313 kW/420 shp each would work, and FADEC's. They could use a cowling design similar to the AS355 N2 or AS355 F2 Écureuil 2's, and the AS350 B3 based twin input gearbox that the AS355 NP uses. Now that would be a nice 120. Nice paint job on this one.

As you mentioned it had to do with the fuel. It was replenished the day before and this was the first flight.

It belonged to the same company than this one. I knew the pilot who was flying and worked with him a couple of times, he was such a great person. A big lost.
