I wonder if they had too much ramp on the inside of the teeth, which caused folding or pinching hair between the blades. Sharpening the teeth reduced that ramp area. Just a thought. Well done!
You really gave your student fits with that lefty shear so early in her sharpening career. I still have to think a bit more and handle them a bit more carefully than the righty shears. I probably sharpen 95% righty shears. Great vid but I am afraid you are throwing way too many things at your student even considering her being a salon owner. She put a slurry on to remove the burr. I know you know that is totally unnecessary. This was day 2 of how many days of instruction? I would never put that time in a $50 shear.
Love these videos ❤
Glad you like them!
Good job, Florencia! It's not easy to sharpen a left handed shear.
Proud of her! She's already the best sharpener in Honduras.

Who knows? Just go through the steps, least to more.
I say bin them and get new ones but with better quality steel like AS14 colbat
Yes, but groomers usually don't want to spend that much.
Think people don’t look after their scissors at all they should be cleaned after every cut e.g wipe the blades
I agree
