There are micro movements his body adapted to with the ball that would be different for someone taller or shorter. You have to adapt to your height just like Messi did but in your own impressive way. Never takes his eye off the ball. Amazing spatial awareness. Doesn't need to look up as he feels where the attack is coming so can move in advance. Superb control which is an absolute requirement given his speed. Truly focused.
I seriously think Messi has the ability to remember PRECISELY how he is lined up with the goal in relation to where he is on the field. He focuses on outmaneuvering his opponents with his above fantastic footwork and then fires at his target. He doesn't look up because he knows which direction he's facing at all times. A player even a little bit close to his level needs an elephant's mind to be able to process all that and use it in a split second.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were the two best players of the last decade. Both dominated football and they pushed each other to new levels. The point is that Ronaldo with all his physical fitness is a total goalscorer . If he gets the ball on the field, he'll not spare the goal. He has different techniques than Messi and Of course, in the terms of athletics , He beats Messi. But the ways of them both playing are different, unique and special. Messi creates those plays for himself and makes ways independently on the field. Ronaldo, with all his hard work and techniques, is of course a real scorer in the field. But for Messi , He creates those ways by himself and most of his goals are solo shots, so That's inspiring. The way he scores it's extraordinary. Messi has got everything, pace, skill, clear thinking, cool temperament and excellent dribbling . He is the best and consistent too and he has a clean character .People often are mistaken between a goalscorer and an assister, dribbler plus a scorer. So, Both of them in their ways are extraordinary. As for my opinion, I'll go with Messi. I respect Ronaldo too. If anybody is the greatest player of the world, Then they are both combined. They are both without doubt the best players of the world.
