Facts, especially since my first play through was with a magic class which I wish I understood this was a big nono in a souls game so my first play through was unnecessarily cruel and unusual with how much effort I had to put in to beat my first playthrough.

I have over 11 play throughs in Elden Ring, it's my favorite game in the world. I know what I'm talking about. My "magic" character wasn't useful in the slightest until I could give him enough stats to use decent spells...
However, when you start the game with 0 stats, that means for over half the game you are going to be using a sword (even though you are magic class) because you literally have only the weakest spells until you can get enough stats to get boss killing spells...
Do you understand now? I couldn't even beat the first few bosses without asking for friends to help because I was stuck in a magic class with very little ability to use magic yet. It's VERY different if you start off as a warrior type and then accumulate a bunch of stats and then change your class to the magic class and dump all kinds of stats into it.
My current character has STR and INT maxed out but what I'm saying is starting the game on your first play through as a magic class means my ENTIRE FIRST play through was cruel and unusual.
@@PureYang0I played magic, specifically sorcery, as my first char and didn't struggle start to finish. Almost every boss in the game died before I ran out of Mana + Physick flasks.

As someone with three friends who play Star Rail, this is inaccurate. He didn't ramble for a half hour about how hot Kafka is.
This game is a banger IF you have either a endless supply of money or the self control not to spend too much of the limited money that you have.
*DON'T* play these kind of games if you have a gambling addiction because it wont end well for you.
The game is free to play freely. What do you mean? Lol, they give out characters and summons like hot cakes. But yes i agree if you have no self-control. You shouldn't be playing gacha games in general.

Dont get me wrong this game is great but at the end of the day its still a gacha game, its designed to try and get you to spend and people without self control can go overboard.
People spend a lot of money on this game 😅 for me the $5 pass is very much within my budget and smooths out breakpoints for getting my favorite characters a lot. But I havent gotten anything besides passes. Once you go beyond the passes the rate of return is miniscule so the spending potential is effectively infinite. So he's right setting limits is a must.
Genshin would make you spend 18 hours to complete the tutorial, 17 of them would be of unskippable dialogue
Kind of the point of story driven games but yeah... Let's skip them.. 👍

The 18 hour tutorial is a bit lmao, its still an actually good game though so do recomend.
It's been a while since i played that part but it's more like 2-4 hours if you're not skipping dialog and explore a bit. 18 is ridiculous😭
Just skip the dialogue and you'll be fine.

I started playing late September this year and now I play it regularly! This game has so many wonderful characters to choose from and all feel very rich and polish. I do appreciate that once I get to the endgame part, I can just treat it as a side game everyday!
But for anyone looking to try star rail, I highly recommend you give a try! It's free so it never hurts to try!

@@emanuele1358unlike Genshin, Honkai has 3 endgame dungeons, and 2 of them refresh every week, unlike Genshin which has one dungeon and it refreshes every 2 weeks.
The other one is basically the abyss where you fight through 10 stages and there are a couple story bosses.
The Simulated universe gives you plenty of useful materials just by playing it, and like i said, the points refresh weekly, so if you play normally theres always something to do.
I know this is a commercial, but still good to see your content.
Honkai Star rail is a really top tier game, as a Genshin player as well, it's just cool playing the same games at the same time. Also, I really love the characters personality and design wise.
Just a heads up, the preregistration for beta ZZZ is open if you want to try the next hoyoverse masterpiece

Honestly I think I managed 18 hours on the tutorial/space station just clearing everything and reading all the lore, feeding a talking plant for a few days and keeping up with all the daily life drama on the station before getting the hidden gag ending (which only takes maybe 15 minutes to actually unlock, but can only experience once and can be missed; roll on a second server or youtube it if you want).
After all that I went to the 2nd location/1st planet not only to find out you can easily go back- but that more and more stuff unlocks at the station as you go through the story.
If nothing else, the boss music at the end of the 1st planet's major arc is insane in the moment, and even as the add more planets/stations in the future the extra stories that continue the plot of older ones are awesome as well.
Wow this is me in every MMO I've ever played. Friends had to retrieve me from the tutorial area.

But yeeeaaahhh... sorry. I played it too, and it smelled a little too much like another YouHoeYouverse game that I played until it refused to give me any of the characters I wanted... even threw some money at it, thinking it would help. Polly just helped some employee get another coffee break though.
I might go back to it, but I also might just take my dignity and escape before I even bother. They make great games bro. And then they GATCHA! ... and there's no escape.
I look at these games as this, you play when they have things for you to do. Not just "dailys" as that will kill interest sooner or later. I missed a few characters I wanted but I've played others and know how to pace myself. Play when you feel or see a event you want (let alone a major story update) and your good.

I was the same way... especially when I got my first two Five star very very early Bailu and that swordsman kid that really really loves swords. (Swordsman kid was my first five star and later bailu off the standard banner)
Things really came together like chocolate cake when I pulled Ting yun who i really liked and wanted from the trial but couldn't get her off that banner (got other two but not her), and happily got her on the standard banner.
Wonder if Keef even made it to the Cocolia Boss, that was one epic sequence

I'm surprised he didn't play with Japanese voice and realize in Japanese her name is Mitsuki Nanoka (which I know is a different way of reading the kanjis but feels more like a name than March 7th).
For those who wonder Match 7th in Japanese is : 三 (3) 月 (month) 七 (7) 日 (day) which is pronounced Sangetsu Shichi-nichi but each kanji can be read differently and that's why :
三 (San) 月 (getsu) 七 (shichi) 日 (nichi) becomes 三 (Mi) 月 (tsuki) 七 (nano) 日 (ka).
This is more likely to get me to play any of these than any of the ads that pop up on RUclips videos
"18 hours in the tutorial" took me back to leveling Kid Ryu to 33 in the forest in Breath of Fire 3. It was before the Nue fight! Don't let us grind in the starter area.
Dunno about 18 hours but I did take several hours in the space station reading and interacting with everything possible to get all the lore. Took me 3 days of playing the game for a few hours a day before I even moved on to the first planet.
Me having spent DAYS in Jarilo-VI before even thinking of moving on to the next planet despite beating the boss: Yeah I feel that final punchline
as someone who spent my first 3 days of playing the game without sleeping and only taking breaks to bring more snacks to my setup so I could play uninterrupted for as long as possible, this is relatable
