Crowder, why do you think people are lured or fed up with the churches.. is it the actual church or is it the double standards they often see at home compared to church?
Is it the lack of really honest conversation being unashamed to talk about real life modern day issues they might face?
Are they being talked to about how to deal with real life issues that can arise and would they be accepted if they had confessed to pre marital sex, pregnancy outside of marriage, drinking or drug use, masturbating, struggles with lust and desire, having crushes on the opposite sex especially if not within the church.. if they have been or ever had lesbian or gay fantasies.. do they really have those freedoms to discuss such topics without being made to feel worse than maybe they already are? Are they able to have really open and honest conversation with their own family members.. again not being ashamed to discuss anything at all..?? Isn't it better that people have that kind of honesty so others know what they are going through and can show support towards them? Checking in and saying how are you going with that.. knowing they have open access to multiple people so they don't feel like such a burden or over burden the one person?
Why are these things classed as taboo within the church environment?
Why are they putting their kids at risk?
Why aren't they preparing them for realities of the world?
Are they encouraging them to be physically strong enough to ward of an attacker?
Are they mentally, physically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually preparing them for anything that comes there way?
If not they are sending them out like lambs to the slaughter..
It does concern me. They shouldn't be silenced but encouraged to talk about these things teaching them maturity and wisdom.
